We stayed for a single night when visiting friends in Hastings - great location on the route into Hastings but as the hotel is tucked away in beautiful grounds, there's no road noise.

Huge and comfortable sleigh bed, beautiful high quality furniture and fittings in the room.

Thank you for staying with us and for your lovely review. For vegetarians and vegans, we have many cereals, nuts, fruits and seeds and the only cooked options not suitable are the bacon, ham, sausages and fish. We keep soya and dairy free spread in stock on request. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.Kind regards Lorraine

I've not stayed in the hotel over night, so can't comment on that. My review is of the owners, the service and the food in their Restaurant. I've eaten here probably about 5 times in total now, and every time has been exceptional. Can't recommend it enough.

First thing to be said is that the breakfast was one of the best I had eaten for a long time. The place is also attractive with nice bar selling some local beers. Sadly the room the two of us were given, advertised as "compact" was really only a compact single room. To get into b

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay and sorry you were disappointed with your room. On our website,we do describe it as Compact suitable for single use and both of you and your sister booked the same type of room. We give free upgrades when available on the day and on this occasion we had one available. We hope that your sister was pleased with her free upgraded room and sorry we could not offer one to you too. As you enjoyed all the other aspects of your stay, we hope you return one day and book to sample one of our King size rooms. Kind regards Lorraine

We stayed here again while visiting family.

From our greeting on arrival to a cheery goodbye on departure nothing was too much trouble. Lorraine moved us into room 10 and it was lovely. A large room bright and comfortable with the biggest bed ever !!! We booked for dinner. The

Thank you for staying with us and for your lovely review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I was perplexed about the comment regarding the power point and hairdrier so I checked the room. It appears that a previous guest had moved the cabinet to rearrange the chairs and covered the power point! We had not noticed this so I have moved it back. Thank you for highlighting this as it must have been frustrating to other guests too. Most rooms have full length mirrors in and we have plans to put ones in the new rooms. We hope to see you again should you return to the area. Kind Regards Lorraine

Did a tour of carr taylor wines which is just over a mile from this hotel and thought we would make a proper day of it by staying over and so glad we did as this hotel was lovely. Stayed in room ten with the sleigh bed, and it was large, very clean, with an amazingly comfortable

Hi there, Do you know how much a Taxi from the railway station will cost, and how available they are? Thank you in advance
The fare will be between £10 and £15 depending on time of day. You can arrive at Battle or Hastings train stations. Hastings has lots of taxis outside waiting but you may need to call one from Battle and the telephone numbers are on display. Kind regards Lorraine

I am considering booking the family Suite. Is there access to the kitchen shown in the pictures to cook dinner? I cannot see a kitchen included in the description but can se photos of it. Thank you.
We have removed the kitchen from the description for the Suite as we are due to renovate the room this year and it is undecided as to whether the kitchen will remain. The work will not be started before April but thereafter we cannot guarantee that there will be cooking facilities. Kind Regards Lorraine

How far is the hotel from Battle Railway Station? Are taxis available? The garden suite doesn't sound appropriate for two couples. For $265 a night what rooms are available? Look forward to receiving answers to my questions. thank you John
Hi. Sorry for the delay but have been away. It looks as though most of your queries have been addressed. I would agree the Garden Suite is not suitable for 2 couples more a family space. The hotel is off the main road and some way from the station. In my opinion it is probably not very convenient without your own transport.
