N I must say it was awesome experience.. we all loved the stay due to the below.. - awesome location - great hospitality and food - excellent service and beautiful people. - extra clean cottages with all facilities and very affordable.. Nestled in a lush green Apple orchards, this Homestay is an excellent place to relax away from hustle bustle of Kullu and Manali cities. Awakening with chriping of nunerous birds and a view of snowcapped mountains makes it a memorable. It is situated just on Kullu-Manali highway and close to Beas river. Many scenic spots like solang valley atal tunnel, sissu valley, Naggar Valley etc. are located at 1 Hr to 2 Hrs distance from this location making it very accessible to travel around. Special mention to Rajiv Upadhyay, Owner. He is very cordial, takes special interest in guests well being and takes care of all needs to best of his ability.

This place is so beautiful! It is surrounded with apple, walnut and pine trees. The view of the mountain range is mesmerizing. This a complete "get away" place, very serene and abundant with goodness. There are about 60+ species of birds and more to be discovered. The cottages come with a great view! They are well furnished and equipped. Local delicacies are also available and is a must try. The food is mouth watering and full of goodness. I found a home away from home feel here. If you want peace, upadhyay cottages is where you'll get it.

Given the current COVID situation and working from home the whole year, I was searching for a place where we could stay with safety as at home. For ex: be able to cook food on our own, be able to maintain social distancing with others etc. I stumbled across this property and loved it in pics. Mr. Rajeev recommended I opt for Cottage Serenity instead of the bigger one that I had selected as it was just 3 of us. We arrived by 6.30 pm and there stood Mr. Rajeev with a sanitiser gun [I was sold that this is the safest place I could have selected]. I was looking forward to cooking on our own, however, with the safety precautions used by Mr. Rajeev I was convinced that it would be safe to eat their cooking. And, the food is finger licking delicious. Yuummmmmm!! Next day morning we woke up to sun rising upon us, birds chirping and the view, camera does not do justice to what you see on your own. My idea of vacation was to stay at a quiet place and yet be able to visit the touristy places. And THIS is IT. If you are up to staying in on a day and cook and relax, there is a fully equipped kitchen and PatliKuhl, about 1 km away, has Prem Provisions, that has everything you will find in a Metro city. And I mean it. We bought groceries for the duration of our stay and only cooked twice.. lol... Even though I hail from Himachal, this was my first visit to Manali and Mr. Rajeev recommended places to visit. And we loved them all. I was to stay here for a week, and we loved the place so much that I requested Mr. Rajeev to extend my stay by another couple of days. Serenity was already booked though and Mr. Rajeev spoke to the other arriving guest so that our stay could be extended. And here I am basking under the sun and writing this review. I could not have asked for a better vacation than this. To sum it up, here are the Pros and Cons: Pros: 1. Quite and serene place to stay away from hustle of Manali, and Manali is only 20 mins drive away. 2. You can choose to go off the grid by not connecting to the WiFi, or connect on demand to talk to family. PS: I carried my Apple TV for the little one and internet works like charm here. 3. Food is just yummylicious. 4. Mr, Rajeev is one of the finest hosts that I have come across. 5. Ravinder was an amazing boy who helped with our food requirements etc. Cons: I don't have one to call out. And I am sure you won't either. Thank you Mr. Rajeev for maintaining such great place and allowing us to be at home, away from home. I will see you in January'22!…

This is our second time at Upadhayay Cottages. We stayed 2 weeks this time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The four cottages are independent and nestled within an orchard. A calm and serene place with a great view of mountains. Wonderful hosts. Planning to come back next year for a month's stay!

This is our second stay at Upadhyay Cottages and hands down this is the best place to stay if you are wanting a quiet, peaceful stay, away from the hustle bustle of Manali, yet close to all the touristy places. Every cottage has amazing views, own lawn space to bask in the sun and a swing! You have a lot of place to walk around in the property and also you can walk to couple of nearby villages without too much vehicular traffic. When you go for a long vacation sometimes it's tiring to eat out every day. But having a kitchen and also having the option to order home cooked food is a big plus for me. Cottages are of superior quality and the one we stayed this time had its ceiling renovated recently. You can clearly see the effort put into maintaining this place. I have already written a lot about the family in my last year's review, but still can't keep myself from writing this again, they make you feel like it's your home away from home.
