Everyone I interacted with was exceptionally kind and professional. My room, bathroom, and all meeting spaces were impeccably clean, with every surface shining and spotless. The room had a very strong smell of food coming from the AC early in the morning! Staff were not friendly when late checkout was requested. The request was declined and they asked for $20/ hour extra fee! The hotel charged an upgrade fee when a quiet room away from the elevator and traffic was requested.

So noisy... at least the person in the room next to me respected the quiet hours, but otherwise was watching ESPN from 6:30 - 11:00 and maybe some adult content. I thought about moving, but could hear all of the conversations on the other side, and all move and some chatter above me. Assumed that no room would be quiet until there was no one next to it.
Rooms are dark too. Lit only with atmospheric lamps, but it means that there so light by the large mirror where you can iron. In the bathroom, the moden glow from back of the large mirror has no other lights, so the darkest spot in the bathroom is in front of it... but you can definitely see yourself while you shower and struggle to get soap our of their bottles since hardware that attaches them to the wall can interfere with operation. And you won't actually be able to tell the difference between any of them if you're nearsighted.
Skip the in room food service. I thought it would be convenient, but wish I had ordered out from Uber Eats or such. While the quality is mediocre, the price of room service remains high for prepacked food delivered as thought it's take out. Keep this in mind when you're tipping... if you're imagining hotel stay wheeling a tray of recently cooked food into your room with any actual cutlery or glassware, thy aren't. All disposable containers in a brown bag. LIke a pre-packed salad from the airport.

My recent stay was for a business convention. The hotel was very easy to navigate and the staff was very attentive and helpful. The bellhop provided us with some great information about dining and shopping within the convention center and within walking distance. The biggest opportunity for Hyatt for this stay would have been an email or text regarding parking best practices - most parking was a very lengthy walk away and dropping off baggage was not permitted. Valet was available at an increased rate over self-parking (as expected) but the convenience and ease of Valet with luggage assistance may be worth the expense, depending on your amount of luggage or physical condition. Beds were very comfortable. When we were there, one night at the bar there was a group of guys really prying on unaccompanied women. I was pleased with how their presence was monitored and then handled by security and management, with quiet/little disturbance to the rest of the guests. We were aware as we had been monitoring their behavior around females in our group they approached.

Traveled to Columbus for an event at the Convention Center. The Hyatt was conveniently attached via walkways, so I never had to go outside into the cold Ohio weather. We utilized online check in and check out. The front desk staff was helpful. The valet and bell staff were efficient. The room was clean. I would stay again.

We were just here for 1 night. I really appreciated the thorough review of my Discoverist benefits and our high floor room which looked great. The room was really smartly decorated and all the fixtures seemed modern and of better than normal quality with things like soft closing drawers and multiple decorative mirrors etc. Everything about the bathroom worked very well. I had one special request to have something brought to my room from our car and it was done very cheerfully and promptly.
There are multiple food and dining choices at this property. We had breakfast at the ‘Market Stand cafe’. Our server was great and the French toast got good marks. I had the Buckeye Breakfast which is basically biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon. It was a nice upscale presentation and very generous with meats. But sausage gravy, bacon, a biscuit and seemingly every other item in the bowl were all salty individually and together they combined to be literally mouth burningly salty. I removed some of the pungent pecan smoked bacon and still found the bowl considerably saltier than I would ever choose to eat.
The pick-up/drop-off/valet circle in front of the hotel is very small and awkward for multiple large vehicles to navigate. We waited over 20 minutes for our car and because of ‘high demand’ the QR code scanning system they encourage you to use from your room before coming down was disabled and we had to stand around with a few dozen other people waiting for cars. Mostly I blame the tiny circle which limits and slows the process down. The staff actually was pretty fast.
All said, I think this property gets more right than wrong. If we were going again the only thing I would almost surely do is to self-park, both because it’s cheaper but also because there was nothing convenient about either dropping off or retrieving our car. Some things seem like a luxury but really aren’t.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for two nights and three days for a business conference and they were helpful and friendly the entire time I visited. I'm not one to create reviews about any place I visit, but I enjoyed my stay here (and I've traveled a lot throughout my life) so I do recommend visiting. The price is a bit high if you're staying multiple nights, but if a business wants to host a convention or conference, this is the place to do so. It's conveniently connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center and that place is also nice to explore and walk around in. Since it's in downtown Columbus, those who aren't used to city life need to be aware that it gets very busy, but that's typical for big cities especially during rush hour. I flew to Columbus from another state so if you can do that I recommend it, as the regency is only around 15 minutes on average to drive to and from the airport (depending on traffic). I took an uber from the Columbus airport, which I initially wasn't sure about, but they have a whole area that those companies use and it's fairly organized. This made it easier to get to where you needed to go that wasn't within walking distance, and you didn't have to rent a car/bring your own and pay for parking downtown. Overall great experience.

As always, the Hyatt Regency staff made my business trip a pleasure. I visit Columbus several times a year for work and always stay at this hotel. I have never been disappointed. The staff are warm and welcoming with the upmost professionalism. The front office manager Alex Shammo is always incredibly helpful and makes sure everything is perfect. All staff members are very accommodating of all my needs. The rooms are updated and clean and have all amenities to make the stay easy and pleasant. The mattresses are very comfortable. The market and restaurant on site are convenient and offer a wide selection of food and beverages. In addition, there is a Starbucks in the building. Finally, the city views of Columbus from the rooms I have stayed in are wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Valet is $33 per day but you can park on your own for $16 overnight on Chestnut street which is the next street over to the south and is affiliated with Hyatt.
