Detailed Reviews
We enjoyed our overnight stay that much we turned it into a two night stay. The property is set out beautifully on acres of land. The room itself is on the larger side of some motel rooms. The bathrooms are older in style but clean and offer great hot showers after a long day of sightseeing that was pleasant. Our room had an older style airconditioner but it still made the room warm and toasty, and the very friendly owners of the hotel informed me that they were upgrading all the old aircons to new, as time progresses.
The owners have planted a maze which i will return to see in a couple of years as it is in its early stages but will be a great place for children to play in a few years.
There is a restaurant on site however only open on weekends at the moment due to covid. We did a take away from there, but not so impressed with that part of it, due to portion sizes being really tiny, and long wait time. But then it was a busy Saturday night so we have to deal with this in covid times.
There is a lovely pool area, and parking at your door. Some of the rooms back on to a wide open area, ideal for children to run free, or adults to sit outside and have a quiet afternoon drink. We would definitely choose to stay here again if on the tablelands.

Regrettably we only booked one night on our return trip from the Lava Tubes to Cairns as the Lodge was an excellent accommodation choice. Reception was extremely friendly and dispensed all important information very efficiently. Luckily we enquired about dining in the restaurant and secured the last table.
The accommodation was excellent. The room was large, well furnished , complete with a comfortable lounge. The bed was excellent. The outdoor seating area was an unexpected bonus as it overlooked the extensive well manicured grounds. It was a great spot to enjoy a pre dinner drink.
The pool looked inviting, maybe next time.
The continental breakfast served in the dining room was very relaxed and civilised.
We were luck enough to meet one of the delightful owners
Will definitely stop again and longer next time we are in the area.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and 3y/o son. Was pleasantly surprised. Check-in was simple and easy and we were provided with an electronic card for entry. The room we stayed in backed on to a well-kept grassy area with a creek down the back. Spotted some local wildlife in the creek and enjoyed the tranquility. The room itself is from a previous generation, however it was very clean and functional. Beds were comfy. The accommodation came with free wifi which is great. I cannnot complain about the room as it was everything we needed and came with a complimentary breakfast each morning. The location of the lodge is slightly out of town but still close. I enjoyed staying here and would love to eat in the on-site restaurant next time. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night only on our way through to the coast, and the room was very homy and comfortable. (The beds could use a little attention though)
The decor was nice, lots of little touches that made it like home, and our patio looked out onto beautiful parklands and a creek. Staff were lovely. Parking easy, and easy to find. Out room (17) was so quiet except for the birdlife etc.
A complimentary continental breakfast is offered, with toast, instant coffee, some fruit, cereal, but please be wary if you have dietary requirements to clarify what your needs are. Iy is easy to communicate with management.
Will stay again.

Delightfully quiet surroundings with quality accommodation. Room was a good size with all the amenities you need, including a brand new reverse-cycle air conditioner. A nice breakfast basket provided daily. The Managers are very friendly and make sure that your every need is attended to. We were so impressed we have booked again for December for 2 weeks.

Friendly managers with beautiful surrounds. Room was clean and comfortable though the decor is in need of an upgrade. Box style A/C is poorly located next to the door and takes a while to cool the room as it doesn't directly blow air to the main area of the room. We would stay again.

Oh my
If you are ever in Malanda. What a hidden gem. The restaurant is called Pickle and Smoke
This was one of the best smokehouses I have been to
Such reasonable prices and so very picturesque.
Thank off to Australia’s oldest running theatre to see Avatar
Great movie, but once is enough for a lifetime
Full, but emotionally exhausted!

I stayed with my family for a digital detox weekend. This lovely accomodation had all the right elements for a tablelands location. There was the beautiful fireplace in the restaurant and bar area, all surrounded with a beautiful pool and rainforest charm. The managers and staff do anything they can to help you be comfortable and welcome. The rooms are so nice and cosy for the cooler climate conditions. The shower was great, the room very clean, the modern warm brickwork gave a lovely country feel. The air conditioner worked fabulously, the patio was perfect and lovely. Security was excellent with screen doors and the front door. They had very well maintained carpet. I think I prefer this to hard floors. The tiny kitchenette was pleasing with a microwave and fridge and plenty of amenities. The beds were really comfy. This is one of the few gems left that offer a complimentary breakfast. It’s not a full fancy breakfast, as it is free. But they have a variety of breads, and spreads, adequate fruits, cereals, juice and basic hot drinks. This is lovely to kick start the day. I do not feel fancy food is needed when you get it free. The rooms rates are very good value in my opinion. I enjoyed the large grounds, as did many families! The pool is perfect. The restaurant was lovely and popular. There are BBQs right near the rooms. They even do “church” on a Sunday at 10.30 if you like fellowship. Do not expect high quality wifi. This is not the hotels fault. It’s the remote location.

The rooms are old in design, away from the road and very quiet. Breakfast provided was great to start the day, Muesli, fruit and toast. Staff pleasant on arrival and nothing to much trouble. Motel great place centrally base if you want to explore the Tablelands towns and falls around the area.
