We stayed here one night in a cabin and the other in a power camp site. This camp ground is a hidden gem. Although it is on the side of a highway, once you drive through the main gates it is a green oasis. Gardens incredible well kept, chook pen for the kids and amenities are impeccably clean. The owner Cameron was always willing to go above and beyond to cater to your needs. Will be back

We have been travelling from WA, through SA, VIC and QLD since March 2022 and this Park is the most welcoming beautiful park we have stayed in.
Cameron & Julie are the most friendly, accommodating, helpful, gorgeous hosts we have come across.
The amenities are so clean and fresh and the grounds are so green, clean and maintained to a tee. The Laundry facilities are excellent.
The pool is so clean and sparkling you can't help but feel invited to swim and relax.
Cameron guides you to your Site and that makes you feel special.
We stayed longer and asked if we could be moved to a different site and this was no problem and again Cameron came along and guided us.
The atmosphere is so relaxing and friendly.
Thank you Cameron & Julie for the most perfect stay anywhere.

What a great place to stay Cameron and Julie are the perfect hosts.
Pizza night and Cane Toad racing a great fun social event where you can share a story or two with fellow travellers and even have a beer or wine along the way.
Not to be missed let’s support our locals along the way.

Booked online, just after arrived went with my partner for a swim in the pool. A dog was around the pool, and two kids playing with the animal. The manager/owner was hanging in the pool as well. When my partner was about to jump into the pool, the dog came barking and attacked he, scratching his leg and leaving marks. Just then the adult appeared to put the dog away. Because of this situation we decided to stay somewhere else, and asked for a refund to the owner of the dog and manager/owner of the place. He answered that we used the pool, so no refund. And that my partner got attacked because he was on the dog’s territory. Also he argued that the dog was under the kids surveillance, that we should understand that (an adult putting the responsibility on two kids ?!??!?).
I’m not a native English speaker, and this person started to speak out loud over me, not even listening and being disrespectful since he wouldn’t let me speak. To finalise, he said that wasn’t even a scratch, that we shouldn’t complain about the situation.
Definitely do not recommend this campground under this management.

We stayed at a powered site with a Campervan at August Moon Park and found that the people working there were friendly and helpful. It was our first time in a campervan and to say we were 'green' would be an understatement! The staff gave us plenty of help and advice... and it was not limited to the camper. They advised us on local things to see and do and also gave us great tips on where and when to see Cassowaries (awesome large flightless birds)... the facilities were great, clean and plentiful. If we are ever back road tripping in Queensland we will be stopping here!!

Cam and Julie were amazing hosts. Have been traveling for 3 months and they have been by far the most friendliest and nicest hosts. We were welcomed with a list of attractions in the area and Cam assisted us parking the van. Customer service goes a long way and these guys were the best. Also very clean amenities and beautiful trees in the park.

Just outside of town, this is a very well kept van park.

Our room had a double bed and 2 sets of bunks, our own private courtyard/carport.

Full kitchen so can cook, although the stove only has one element to use.

Staff were very friendly.

Highly recommend

We used this site when travelling in a motorhome. It was a clean, well appointed site. The toilet /shower block was very clean. It is in a good location on the Bruce Highway. But the best feature was the owner who was extremely helpful and told us about all the local sights to visit.

Stayed in the August Moon caravan park for 6 nights. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The showers and toilets were very clean. The 3 level swimming pool was very inviting but a bit cool for swimming this time of year. The camp kitchen had all the appliances you wood expect and was very clean. The powered sites were good with plenty of shade trees, also pet friendly.

While the park was convenient on the Hwy and seemed laid out well the welcome from Cameron was horrendous. We were sworn at when not turning the wheel the right way and he became irrate and abusive when we questioned what sites we were on. We understood the park had received rain and the sites were muddy but Cameron was more concerned that the grass would be ruined rather than giving welcome greeting for tied travellers. When the swaring started from Cameron it was time for us to leave and get a refund. We moved on to a Park that was welcoming and tolerant that could handle all weather situations .... actually worked out way better in the end. I must add that Juilie in the front office was very apologetic and conciliatory offered a full refund and an explanation that Cameron was having a "bad day". Our recommendation is to not arrive on his bad days or seek a more welcoming park. Arrival time to departure time was 15 mins.
