Detailed Reviews
Stayed for a weekend with 2 young children in budget ensuite cabin. Lovely park in a beautiful setting across from the beach. Friendly owners. Kids enjoyed mini golf and the pool is sparkling clean. Accommodation was well equipped, clean and had everything we needed for a no fuss short stay. Flying fish point cafe is a 2 min walk away and recommend it for fish & chips and a yummy big breakfast. Lots of fishing spots within a 5 min drive or even walk away. The mouth of the Johnson River is very scenic. We enjoyed our stay!

The deluxe cabin had everything we needed however the ensuite stank like urine, the basin wasn't clean, there was sand all over the bunks and a plastic mixing bowl still had oil and water in it. Upon checkout, I told reception about the lack of cleanliness and no apology or acknowledgement was given. I definitely won't be staying here again, solely because of lack of cleanliness. Wonder what the standard cabins are like?

My wife and I could get accommodation in Cairns so we thought that we would stay somewhere on the coast not too far off the beaten track, the cabin was comfortable and adequate for the one night stay, with a small shop with enough supplies to get you through the night, fishing equipment if you want to catch your own, the staff were very helpful with information of the area, all in all we would go out of our way to stay at this beautiful beach location whenever we are up from Townsville, , , Innisfail is 20 minutes up the road for substantial shopping for your holiday,,, we were impressed, .

I would not recommend this van park units as it needed a good clean. Air conditioning curtains bedspread lounge smelt stale. The fans and inside the kitchen cupboards had dust. The bathroom smelt of urine and the fan vent was full of dust. Not a present place if you suffer from asthma or sinus problems. We found an empty 6 pack of alcohol paper in a cupboard. The kitchen range hood is discussing and certainly not worth $125 per night. This list is what I ha dead to the owner that needed to be cleaned
I was generous in giving it a 1 rating

For $150 a night for a cabin, I would expect it to be maintained a lot better. Not the most pleasant experience from reception on arrival, then the screen and glass sliding door, screamed in protest at being opened, new rollers required on both. One of the dining chairs had a broken back, which pinched when sat in, the stove did not work, the exhaust fan did not work, the tiles on the bathroom floor were smashed, the cupboards were water damaged and blowing along the edges. The crockery was chipped, there was no sharp knife, the bowl in the cupboard was disgusting. The double bed has a big sink hole, and gave a sore back. The hot water took forever to come thru, the cold water tap in the shower jammed when trying to adjust the temp. The pillows were well past throw away date, they were nearly non existent. The did give us a knife when requested, and a portable stove. The curtains were dusty and needed washing. I will say the park is in a lovely spot and has a nice pool, and the mini golf is good for kids, but really they need to pick up the game with the cabins. We stayed in number 25.

Staying in Cairns we needed a weeks accomodation while waiting for house bond return. Called the park and advised we were likely to be there 2 weeks, but would pay weekly just in case a house was found. Booked double cabin with no ensuite at $240 per week which for no frolill bare basics seemed ok.
Then in the day following we get told there's a $100 bond payable and that theres also meters on the cabin for power charges.
Fine...so based on all that we vacate our Cairns accommodation and we travel down to Innisfail and go to book in.
Only to be told the rates given were wrong and now they want to shaft us on that at almost double the cost.
These people are not to be believed or trusted.
Go elsewhere and get treated decently.

Gentlemen, please post the correct information. You enquired about long term accommodation which we quoted the long term rate which is $240 plus power The $100 bond was discussed in a phone call. You then changed the stay to 2 weeks (not long term) we were going to accept that, but when changed to 1 week the long term rate does not apply. thanks andre

Absolutely disgusting, my mother & I stayed here for 1 night. Out dated, filthy, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Don’t waste your time staying here! 🤮 Exhaust fan in bathroom moldy & dusty. Light above bed full of dust, window sills disgusting. Bunk beds very uncomfortable (can feel the slats in your back under the mattress) Don’t waste your money, stay elsewhere. I’m sure the health inspector would love to know about this place.

This is a small park right on the beach and within walking distance to the Johnstone river. The owners are extremely nice and very helpful with a great sense of humour. There is plenty of room for caravans so you are not sandwiched in. They also have cabins. It’s lovely and clean and only a few minutes drive from Innisfail.
We came for a month and stayed for three. Would recommend this place highly. I would book in the busy season as it will book out fast.

It’s a fantastic little caravan park. Andre and Neta , the park managers are full of surprises and really make you feel comfortable. It’s in a good location with possible the best fish and chip shop ive ever been too just down the road. Everyone was very friendly and the facilities are excellent. The bird life around the park is truly amazing and so many hidden gems to discover around the area. We came for a week, then stayed for 6 months. I can’t recommend it enough.

Very disappointed and disgusted in this property.
We turned up and went to the office to check in, the person behind the counter was chopping onions and it stunk.
We checked in, paid and then got the linen for the bunk. Top & bottom sheet and pillow.
We went to our cabin, opened the door and there was a putrid smell that was trying to be masked by some kind of spray.
I looked at the double be, the pillows both looked like they had blood stains and then we pulled the blankets back and it looked like someone had been sleeping in those sheets. There were 3 or 4 pubic hairs and stains all over the sheets.
We decided we weren’t staying and made the decision that after we had been to Paronella park we would make the trip back to cairns.
We went back to the office and the only question asked was ‘what was wrong?’ And we told her. With no arguments they refunded our money and off we went.
Very very disappointed and this place needs to be looked at by council.
