Detailed Reviews
We stopped in Innisfail to check out the art deco architecture and while walking by decided to try lunch at this hotel/pub in one of the lovely old buildings. Wow - what a surprise! This is not ordinary pub food. We had a red curry duck and a grilled barramundi. The food was Sydney standard - the curry was as good as any we've had in (an authentic) Thai restaurant. Fantastic service. A water bowl was even produced for our dogs before we'd even settled down!

Great healthy pub meal option! What a surprise this little town presented. The Queen’s Hotel old country charm, friendly staff and yum food. Tidy, busy city centre even though not tourism season. Although missing our XXXX Gold.

My review relates to catering provided by Liam from the Queens Hotel.
As the mother of the groom, I felt that it was going to be a logistical challenge to arrange a wedding two hours from Cairns. Liam was highly recommended by the Wongaling Beach/Mission Beach community and they referred me to the Queens Hotel at Innisfail - this is Liam and Wendy’s Hotel. My son, and now daughter-in-law and I were impressed with the food served at the hotel and once they confirmed they could cater for a wedding at Wongaling Beach, they sent us a great menu that included our request for a buffet lunch and exotic salads for vegetarians.
When we returned from the wedding ceremony on Dunk Island, Liam and his wait staff were in place, ready to serve drinks and commence serving food. The charcuterie was divine - it included the best cheese from Europe, locally sourced ingredients to make yummy terrine and rillette...and many other delicacies.
The attention to detail and care in the selection of ingredients resulted in a buffet fit for a royal family. The food was exquisite and our guests raved about the quality and variety available.
As for the desserts, they gave new meaning to the word decadent. Simply sublime.
Liam is the consummate chef and he and the wait staff were always attentive and their contribution was priceless.

Nice food yet need more choice for vegans. A bit expensive for what you get. Great acoustics which is good for bands yet once a few tables of people fill it it became very loud to the point of being uncomfortable.

I’m not a fan of hotel dining, but the restaurant at Queens Hotel is great. All dishes beautifully presented, fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and fast. The venue clean. There are not many places to eat in Innisfail, i don’t hesitate to recommend Queens.

This place is wonderful! Amazing food and service. Lovely local feel, with a trendy twist. The owners really know what they are doing. Wish we found this pub earlier in our stay but we will be back for coffee in the morning. Best place to visit in Innisfail.
