do not stop at this hotel my partner stayed here at the weekend and was bitten by bed bugs several times and when she complained about it to the management they gave her a different room. which she also found begs in. she filmed the bugs on the bed and showed it to the management who told her she must have brought them in with her 🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡do not stop here
We stayed on Sunday 6th April .we arrived late in the day so missed getting anything to eat .The owner told us where the restaurants were or if we wanted we could get a takeaway and eat it in our room which we thought was nice of him .our room was clean and basic but being honest it was all we needed . Yes its a bit dated but remember that her has lost his income for 6 months and is only 20% at capacity so living really to pay the bills . We came down in the morning for breakfast and received a full cooked breakfast which was really tasty. We was going to book a taxi but the owner did it for us . If your looking for a plush hotel look else where . If you want to have a basic clean hotel with a lovely breakfast book here and help a local business. Clean room Comfortable bed Hot shower Clean and plenty towels Coffee and tea facilities Lovely cooked breakfast Lovely and helpful owner Would I book there again darn right I would …
Spent two nights here last July.Is a bare bones hotel not fancy by a long shot .Room was clean .Food was fair to middling.Host /Innkeeper was amicable and did what he could to make stay pleasant.Return trip believe I’ll shop around .If you have issues with steps .This is not friendly.
This hotel is a complete disaster! We checked in to this dilapidated hotel that was once probably really nice. Got to our room which was really really cold with single glazed windows which didnt help, room is so dated and basic. The noise off the road was terrible. We asked the owner why it was so cold and he laughed and said the heating goes on at 5 for a few hours. Slept well once warm but heating went off half way through the night and was Baltic once again! Menu is limited.... very limited. The only good point I can say is it's very close to a pub called the coach & horses which is 'warm' and serves fantastic food and drinks. I wont be back and suggest they shut their doors now!
I only booked and stayed for one night but would book again when I'm next in the area. My room, although single, had enough space and didn't feel claustrophobic like some single rooms. A good sized desk for working at with overhead light. Kettle with ample tea and coffee and biscuits were a nice touch. Shower room gave plenty of hot water with a heated towel rail too. A small LCD tv came with freeview. Bed was really comfortable and pillows gave a good night's sleep. My room faced the main road so there was some road noise so in preference I'd prefer a room overlooking the rear car park. Good value for money - it's not the Ritz but it doesn't pretend to be more than it is. My breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious.
