We were treated like royalty from the minute we were picked up by the hotel car service . We were greeted by friendly attentive staff who wanted nothing more than to make us happy . We’re we’re greeted with a delicious tropical drink and warm towel then driven by gold cart to our room where the staff members brought up our luggage restaurants, room service, pools , beach were exquisite . We had fun all day and did not have to leave the premises our entire stay . Breakfast buffet was incredible !!! We are definitely going back again and again. Worth every penny
Conrad Punta de Mita you’ve exceeded our expectations. It was an absolutely lovely stay at this property. From the service, the food, water slide and warm pools it made this trip extremely pleasant. The staff here is very welcoming and they go far beyond what you expect. As soon as we checked in I received a text and from there it was pure joy. Any issues, any questions I could just the front desk and they immediately took care of it. Thank you to Jorge from Mezquite, Diego from Paleta and Jhonathan from front desk. They were absolutely incredible. Will definitely come back here again.
This is a nice hotel, but not a five star hotel. We have stayed at nearby Four Seasons and St. Regis and Hilton Conrad Punta Mita is far from being at the same level. We had a nice time, the room was nice (although nothing special) and service was generally good. That said, it is not the curated experience that you would expect from a hotel that markets itself as a five star hotel. It seems like each restaurant and bar operates as separate units. For example If one place doesnt have a bottle of wine, they will ask you to go get it from another of the hotel's restaurants or bars. Speaking of wine. The wine selection at the restaurants is atrocious and pricing random (some might say crazy). You can buy a bottle of Rutherford Chardonnay for USD$275! That is a bottle you can buy at your local CVS for USD$18. There are many similarly priced examples for budget wines. Finally, skip the Codex restaurant. Not worth it. …
Early August 2022 we spent 6 nights at the Conrad Punta de Mita as a family of 2 adults, 1 tween. We were informed on arrival that the occupancy was around 40%. The hotel itself feels fresh and beautiful - it's a very pretty property that must be recently built and is maintained in excellent condition. The hotel trends toward a modern design aesthetic, while feeling warm and inviting. But above that, the staff is truly the star of this hotel. Each staff member goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. The grounds are perfectly maintained, and I don't recall seeing a single piece of liter anywhere. One of the beautiful things about this area is absolutely NO worries of sargassum or seaweed issues in this area, and the fact that the beaches are very swimmable with warm water. While we were there, it was probably around 87 or 88 degrees. This hotel also is not near any rivers, so the waters are not murky or dirty, just beautiful and clear. There are 3 pool areas, one that is adults only (which seemed to be rarely used), what I would consider the main pool - with an infinity edge overlooking the ocean (it is open to everyone), and then a family pool that has a water slide and tends to be very popular with younger kids especially. Next to that family pool is a splash pad as well. Presumably because occupancy was low, we did not encounter any issues with obtaining chaise lounges with umbrellas during our entire stay. We could arrive at the pool around 11 and still have chairs available. The chairs are wood with cushions and very comfortable. There are plenty of umbrellas. The ocean front casas are really wonderful. They are smaller buildings, probably 16 rooms at the most for each building. We avoided a top floor at the recommendation of another review, and were happy we did since we had rain showers several times on our trip but our balcony remained dry since it was covered by the balcony above. I think the top floor has a partial open lattice roof, so it would have less protection. I think if the view is a priority for you, the ocean front is worth the additional cost. It's also really well located for the pools and two of the restaurants (Mezquite and Palapas). There are 4 restaurants, plus a coffee pickup place (small with only a few snacks pastries and drinks). There are a couple of small tables but it is in a hallway and not really conducive to sitting around. Paletas is the pool bar/restaurant and served during the day, they are not open for dinner - it served pizzas, quesadillas, etc. That leaves 3 restaurants for dinner. Mezquite is open air at the beach with wood fired options of meat and fish and a kids menu. Arbol is located in the main building and is indoor/outdoor, so the only real restaurant with an air conditioning option. That is also the location of the breakfast buffet in the mornings. They served tasty food and also have a kids menu (limited, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, etc.) The regular menu has seafood, and a few meat options - we had ceviche, tuna, short ribs etc. at this restaurant. The star restaurant really is Codex, which has a small menu but very creative flavor pairings. The concierge said that most people get a babysitter to go there since they do not have a kids menu, but we saw several families with small children dining there. Our tween is up for all sorts of seafood options as long as they aren't spicy, so there were several options on the menu and she was very satisfied with the tuna crudo. We had kampachi appetizers and soft shell crab and totoaba for our entrees, and both were delicious. This really is an experience restaurant and well worth the visit. Hotel tips and suggestions: get the ocean front room, you won't regret it. The pull out couch is quite comfortable in the King room too, no complaints from the tween. None of us loved the pillows, so you might bring your own if you're a pillow snob. They had down and some other material, but the pillows felt a bit heavy. The towels are on the thin side, but I'm guessing that might have something to do with the humidity and getting them to dry quickly. There aren't a lot of hooks or places to hang things, so we had swimsuits and stuff draped around the room trying to get them to dry overnight. The small refrigerator/mini bar is NOT stocked - so feel free to bring in some drinks or snacks, the hotel provides lots of water daily though in the room. They have the normal Nespresso pod coffee machines in the rooms. One con to this locations is that it is a bit remote to anything. We had zero luck with Uber while we were there - one evening we tried to go into Punta Mita and it took us about an hour to get a driver to accept, and then half an hour later they cancelled when they were supposedly on the way to us. No fault of the hotel, but don't rely on Uber there - I'm guessing the taxi intimidation might play into this, and/or the fact that we were there doing a slow time. Also, taking the hotel taxis anywhere is a minimum of $16 and usually more. To the La Cruz marina was over $50 for a roughly 20 minute ride. Punta Mita is $16 to get there, then you can find a cab there to come back or have the hotel send one of theirs for $25 or something like that. We privately arranged our round trip airport transportation with Vallarta Vamanos and were very happy with them and their pricing/service. We also left the hotel for two dinners, that I wanted to mention as well. The first place was one I found in reviews on TA and took a chance. It was the Casa Traditional - it is about a 5 minute drive from the hotel to the restaurant, but the restaurant will happily send a van to pick you up and return you to the hotel if you ask. I reserved online, then contacted them the day of the reservation via Whatsapp to arrange the transportation. The food and service at this restaurant were amazing. They even had live music for us on a Monday night! You MUST have the guacamole and salsa (both prepared tableside) - they were some of the best I've had anywhere. They staff was so attentive and went out of their way to make us feel at home and take care of us, This is a true gem of a restaurant - and they do take credit cards. I will absolutely return there on my next visit. The second off site restaurant was the Litibu Grill. It's a 20 minute walk on the beach to get there. You MUST have reservations. They only have 10 tables and only do 4 sittings per day. They will require a credit card (and have a list of info you should know) but don't be put off by this, understanding that they have limited tables and cancellations would cause a lot of waste helps explain the policy. They are right on the beach and have hammocks and palapas, etc. It is casual dress, so you can go enjoy the beach and have lunch or dinner there - they have an outdoor shower to rinse yourself. The staff is again so attentive, but the food is the star here - we all had the ceviche to start (it is a pretty decent sized bowl, but we liked it so much we ordered a second); and we all had the octopus. That octopus plate was huge - not just a little tentacle of octopus, it was the best I've had in the world - one in Spain being a close second. They do have fish and meat on the menu, but I can't attest to those. Overall, there isn't a lot going on in terms of resort activities, but it is an excellent place to relax and unwind, and be in the ocean. The hotel facilities, staff, grounds, etc. are all exemplary and I can whole heartedly recommend it.…
Great stay at the Conrad! Super family oriented, chill and friendly vibe from all the guests. If you’re looking for a party hotel this is NOT it! Amazing good (a little overpriced but it’s to be expected given the high quality of the food and restaurants). I have to say that the beach at the Conrad is the best one I’ve been in Mexico. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing. Most importantly is the service and efforts that every single worker at the hotel does for you every moment of your stay. Mexico is number one on this , world class service. We will definitely be back!
Wow! We just came back from an 8-day vacation at Conrad Punta Mita. The hotel is beautiful full of delicate details. Since day one the staff was so friendly, willing to help in any way. The food is delicious, particularly the Restaurant Mesquite was AMAZING, we loved it so much that we had dinner there 6 nights! Rafael or “Rafayel” for his buddies was outstanding and definitively made our stay extra special - he organized a cake for our anniversary and our daughter’s birthday as a surprise. He just constantly went above and beyond. The kids club was super fun, Marisol was super caring and the girls really enjoyed it. Thank you Conrad, we will definitively be back!
Where do I begin. First. Before arriving, I picked to opt in to the room upgrade + the massage package on the Hilton app before arriving. We arrive, PVR. Arranged transportation via the concierge before arriving. Drive to hotel was terrible.. New York Style.. Got major car sick.. they were not smooth with the gas and breaks.. Next, we get there. They give you a nice sweet drink upon arrival. Check in was disorganized. I asked about the upgrade I was offered on the app, they said its not available, but they had two additional options, one was 425 a night more, and another 525 a night more, and one more for 625 a night more. Crazy. I said, its 4pm. lets pass. Here we go. 1. Beds are HARD 2. Pillows are HORRIBLE. All just one size and massive and thick. 3. Food at the property is equivalent to a royal Caribbean or carnival cruise ship. tortilla soup, ZERO flavor.. Try it! Guacamole, tasteless. 4. Buffet for breakfast, decent but way over packed and terrible service. 5. Service at the property is just not there. We have stayed at st regis, + 4 seasons around the corner, night and day. 6. This property grounds are super nice, beach is amazing, so MUCH potential if they can get the SERVICE act together. Replace the beds, and pillows and game over, this place would be epic.. oh and make way better food. 7. WE DID upgrade to the $625+ option, had a nice room, but gosh, the transition from the main tower to the new room was a hot mess, took over 2 hours for them to open the dam room. I WOULD NOT GO BACK HERE EVER AGAIN, until they fix above. I stayed for three nights, didnt even drink too much, bill was 2800 for 3 nights *Not including my original reservation I paid for.. me + wife and a 6 year old.. STICK TO ST REGIS OR 4 SEASONS. STAY AWAY FROM CONRAD…
My husband and I recently had a real-life fairytale stay at the Conrad Punta de Mita and we were utterly and extremely impressed with every aspect of our stay. We stayed in mid-July. General Information We took an Uber from the Puerto Vallarta Airport for under $20. It's about a 40 minute drive. We walked straight out of the airport and turned left and walked over the bridge to get our Uber since they price gouge at the airport. It's about a 5 minute walk to the off airport Uber. This hotel is fabulous for couples or families. There is also a large conference room, but there was not a conference going on while we were there. The resort has several pools, including a kids pool, bikes, a pickle ball court, a work out room, a spa, a small gift shop, and several restaurants. The hotel has one large building and several smaller villas but it is not too spread out. You could walk just about anywhere around the resort in less that 10 minutes. The villas 3,4,5,6, and 7 are all beach front. We had suite 634 and I would choose that same room again every time and it had a perfect sunset view. It was perfect, more on that later. See attached map. Pros The ocean, I felt at peace to be at the beach and in the ocean any time of day or night due to the 24/7 security. It is quite apparent that the safety and security of the guests is of utmost importance. I can honestly say that I have never felt safer at any other hotel. I was able to enjoy the warm ocean water every day and not have any concern about my safety or any of my belongings. I also very much appreciate the safety protocol upon entering the property. Did I mention that the ocean water was about 86 degrees. This is the warmest ocean water I have even been in, even warmer than Bora Bora. I was told that the ocean water temperature is warmest in July through November, so we got lucky! The Conrad Spa has both an indoor area which is typical and also a large outdoor garden / spa pool area / treatment rooms / plunge pools / jacuzzi/ showers / tranquility area. We had a couples massage in our outdoor “nest”. I can honestly way it was the best massage of my life, and this statement does not come lightly. I believe his name was Raul and I asked for a very deep tissue massage. His technique was fantastic and he was very attentive about making sure the pressure was perfect. When we purchased spa products, they offered to have them delivered to our suite so that we didn’t have to carry them around the property. The people, I cannot say enough about each person we encountered. I would say something to a server or anyone on the property and practice my Spanish, they were so appreciative that I was trying to speak Spanish and I as well was so grateful for the help they were providing for me to improve my Spanish. Of particular note was Rafael who we met at Mesquite Restaurant. He was so engaging at breakfast and we so enjoyed talking with him, and he made us laugh throughout every meal and even told us a joke in Spanish! He was so thoughtful because I asked him for a tapenade recipe, and he told me he would talk to the chef and email me the recipe. This level of service is one reason I give a 5/5 rating. Every person working there seemed to genuinely be happy and to care about the guests in an authentic way. The suites, they are an incredibly pleasant luxury. As Hilton Diamond members, we received a beautiful upgrade to a beach front suite and it was lacking nothing. It had a plunge pool on the balcony, an extremely large shower. Also, the indoor / outdoor feel of the suite with the sliders that open all the way is just fabulous and gives such an open, tropical feeling with the palm trees swaying right outside our suite. Our suite had a living area, large entry way, a balcony with two chaise loungers, a table that seats 4, a plunge pool and there was still extra room. The bathroom was luxurious and had dual sinks and separate room with toilet. See attached video. The lush grounds and pools are spectacular too. The pool temperature is so soothing I could stay in the pools all day. The pools are about the same temperature as the ocean, maybe a little warmer. There are several pools and a kids pool with a really fun slide. I wasn't the only adult going down the slide. The swim up pool bar and all of the servers were perfectly attentive. It did rain a couple of days but just for a few minutes. Restaurants. There are three major restaurants for dinner, and other places as well that you can order lunch at the pool. The Mesquite restaurants is ocean front and has the best view of all the restaurants. It is outside and has a spectacular view. You can order a la carte for breakfast. Of special note, I truly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict at Mesquite for breakfast. I’ve eaten Eggs Benedict so many times and it is quite impressive that mine were served absolutely perfectly with the runny egg each day. Mesquite serves breakfast and dinner. My favorite item at dinner was the absolutely delicious tapenade served with the bread. Then there is Arbol. It is near the lobby and has Mexican cuisine for dinner, and has the buffet breakfast available. It is the only restaurant that offers indoor dining as an option. My husband's fave item at brunch was the croissants (second best to France) and mine was the home made quesadilla bar. Then there is Codex, open only for dinner. This is the most upscale restaurant on property. What truly stands out to both my husband and myself as a unique highlight experience was Codex. We enjoyed it so much that we returned a second time on our stay. The refined cuisine and drinks and presentation was absolute perfection. There is a little surprise at the beginning and at the end of dinner, so I won't give it away here. You must try the ahi appetizer and the soft shell crab entree. This restaurant is also beach front and very romantic. By the way, if you are Hilton Diamond or also Gold I think, you get a $17 credit per person for up to 2 people per day credit. ($34 per couple) We could usually eat for about that much at Mesquite on the a la carte menu. If you eat at the Arbol buffet, you can get the continental breakfast for $34 for two people or $34 per person for the full buffet. I strongly recommend the full buffet as it is totally worth the amount. I thought everything at the hotel was reasonably priced. Will we return? without a doubt before the year is over. A few days at the Punta de Mita will put you in a relaxed mode for some time. Pro Tip: 1. We brought two blow up rafts that had the cup holders, and we could float around the pool and also use them in the ocean. We donated them to an incoming family or couple on our last day. 2. Bring more sunscreen than you think, the sun is direct and hot. 3. Message me if you have any questions…
beautiful hotel as you would expect from a conrad my biggest complain and i no it might sound strange to peoples is that the pools ares gorgeous but way to hot not pleasant at all almost like a jacuzzi and when it’s so hot outside in middle of summer you don’t want a hot bath v er ty unpleasant and believe that’s all the peoples around the pool talk about breakfast buffet was fantastic great choices very high quality mesquite was not a great experience but it was a bad night to go was a storm just before and the bugs were just everywhere and by the thousands but i don’t understand that sutch high level property would not be ready for it since it rain almost everyday so there is bugs almost everyday and rhey dint even have any citronella torch around the restaurant that is on the beach not even one torch or any kind off device i found about five bugs in short when i went back to my room was crazy and not one torch we at a small hotel in pv now and they have about 20 torch around the restaurant not one bug so far any tone off rain amp please stop with the foam on all the menus and don’t no where that trend started but it is very annoying and does not ad anything beside that it is a gorgeous property i would go back and bring my wet suit for the pool with ice in it…
So to preface this review it is rated as a 5 star property to likes of the mandarin oriental, st regis, four seasons etc so the review is based off the standards of these hotels. As a 5 star property I would give this place 3 1/2 stars As a 4 star property I would give this place 4 1/2 stars I have stayed at this property 2 years consecutively now for summer vacation. The property is a beautiful modern property with 3 onsite restaurants and a spa. The Pros The property is just beautiful and the ocean front villas are absolutely incredible. If you go here you should definitely splurge on the ocean front villas as the sunsets there are incredible. On our first stay last year we stayed for 2 weeks. There were a lot of growing pains as the property was still new and had only opened for a few months. The management said the property was supposed to continue to improve. This year we stayed for 6 days and i was really really hoping that there was improvements and there were in some areas but there was regression in other areas. I went during June which is apparently slow season and it was definitely noticeable. It was relatively easy to set up at the pools any time of the day and was easy to walk up to the restaurants and go for dinner. Service from last year to this year at the pool has improved but still not up to the levels of the st regis or four seasons near by. They have expanded the options for breakfast to two of the 3 restaurants which was great and they had different options both places. We preferred eating at mezquite for breakfast and dinner. The food is definitely good. They have improved on the pest control which was unbearable last year when we went to eat at mezquite last year. The staff are friendly. They offered a margarita making class which was fun. I wish there were more fun activities throughout the day and week as the majority of people there stay on property for the entire day. Areas of improvement I had mentioned in advance prior to arrival and again at the front desk that we were celebrating a mile stone anniversary and there was no acknowledgement of it at any point during the stay or even at front desk when we checked in. One of the best features of the property is their spa and I had planned to book two separate days of treatments. But because it is slow season they had no one to actually do the treatments and talking with other people that were staying it was very very difficult to get any spa treatments because they didn't have staff. I was not able to get any days at all even though I inquired on the first day I arrived about treatments for my entire week. The spa people said that they let 75% of their staff go on vacation so basically they had no one. That is a huge disappointment and loss of revenue for the property. No attempts to follow up with me as well or trying to accommodate especially when I asked for any of the 6 days. They didn't offer extra amenities at the pool such as face misters, sunscreen, cold treats that you would routinely find at the other five star places. Since this is a family destination it would be nice to cater to the kids like the four seasons/st regis does. At these properties the kids routinely get sand toys, sandals, robes which were all absent at this property. The fitness center last year had bottled water and this year they removed the bottled water for water jugs but did not have cups but having a cup when you're working out or spinning is not as convenient and again you can find bottled water at the fitness centers at other 5 star places. They did what they needed to do but never went over and above to exceed expectations like a 5 star should. Overall I felt that the place felt like it should be marketed as a 4 star resort rather than a 5 star if they want to keep things as is and like I said would be a great 4 star property. However, if they want to be a 5 star property they need to make some serious changes on how they operate and their amenities. The customer needs to feel pampered and they should be making every attempt to make a request happen for the customer. As an example we went to the four seasons in maui after departing this place and at the pool bar I had mentioned if they could make me a li hing mui margarita and they sent someone to the local market and retrieved the li hing mui powder and made me a margarita with it. At the conrad they could not set up a simple reservation for a restaurant when approaching the concierge. Another suggestion would be to fix the kids club program instead of making it an hourly charged activity plan they should like the four seasons and do a daily program where you could drop off the kids for entire day .They could not keep an account of simple preferences even though we were dining at the same place over and over. Every time we would dine at mezquite they asked us allergies and we had to repeat ourselves. They never bothered inputting it into the system. At the four season they had it marked before arrival and I didn't have to mention it ever at any of the restaurants. The one time the four seasons restaurant made a mistake on my food not only did they fix it immediately they removed the item from the check without me even asking. Again not just meeting expectations but exceeding them. This did not happen at the Conrad. They have a long way to go for a 5 star property. I am sad to say that after going 2 years in a row I don't think I would come back if I am going with the expectation of 5 star luxury.…
