Detailed Reviews
We booked cottage 10 for a week here in August and we were disappointed in several things. The upstairs tub was not cleaned before us and there were other areas that were not touched. I found an empty pack of cigarettes on top of my dresser. They only provided 3 rolls of toilet paper for 7 people over 5 days. We had to keep asking for more.
Plug plates behind the bed were cracked leaving exposed access to wiring.
Over had an element that remains on. Toaster only worked on one side. Bbq only had 2/3 elements that worked.
These are things that you would expect would be checked as essentials.

We stayed in cottages #31 and 32. Each house had 4 bedrooms with one queen size bed except one had 2 double and single. It was spacious for our large party. You can BBQ outside or chill on the porch. The only thing we didn’t like was the AC did not reach the whole house and only the main floor. At night you need to leave the fan on all night and open the windows. The grounds location was 5 mins walk to Tim
Hortons and 25 mins to Cows. The beach is about 15 mins walk. It would be 55 mins to go to the Boardwalk by walking. Highly recommend driving to Boardwalk. The cottages were relatively quiet except weekends people party a bit (like us). There is a laundromat on site. $2 for use and $1 for detergent (unless you brought your own). We overall enjoyed the accommodations for big parties (4 couples)!

Stayed here for 4 nights in June and although the weather was rainy and a bit cold the 2 bedroom cabin was perfect. it was fully equipped with everything you need and close to food and attractions in Cavendish. The staff was friendly and available and quickly take care of any issues that arise. We did lose WiFi one morning and as soon as I called they took care of it and it was up and running in under 5 minutes. The price was very good and we didnt actually want to leave because the cabin was so great.

We had 2 rooms in the inn/motel part of the establishment. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was nice to have the shared BBQ & picnic tables available for cooking and the little kitchen unit was well stocked with plates/glasses/cutlery and linens for cleaning/drying. A bonus was the little basics that you often forget to bring - salt , pepper , dish soap. The 2 pools & hot tubs were a bonus to have, lots of room for everyone even on the busy, hot days we were there. Nice open central field area for kids to play, with a play structure. Cottages looked great and would have been a first choice for us except we were late in booking accommodation. Great service for towels, pool towels can be exchanged as needed. A 5 minute drive into Cavendish, but this was not an issue, as to access any of the beach provincial parks you need to drive anyway. Staff were seen often around the property keeping the area tidy and clean. Would highly recommend this spot for a stay.

Loved the cottages. Had a great time. Kids loved the pool and play areas. Slept great in a quiet part of Cavendish. Cottages are fully equipped with dishes, coffee maker, nice size fridge, dishwasher, etc. We will definitely book here again.

Cavendish cottages
We stayed in the inn section which I would not recommend. We had booked two nights and left after one. The front desk was not helpful on checkout and we still paid for the second night as it was booked through booking.com. The room needed upgrades as everything was very old and outdated. The floor was sloping and the deadbolt on the door would not close due to the warping. Seemed clean although previous guests’ dirty towels were still hanging on back of bathroom door and there were stain marks and mold. No control over the AC as it was central. Finally found the hair dryer in a dresser drawer. It was the smallest hair dryer I’ve ever seen. It was also broken so I had to keep my hand in a certain way so it wouldn’t fold closed. Not accessible. Have to enter through a back entrance with stairs. There was a tv in the sitting area of our suite but many channels did not work. There was no tv in the bedroom. The bathroom sink tap was reversed so hot and cold were opposite. Suite we had opened up into a common inn area with a shared kitchen. Thankfully it was quiet but it could have been very noisy if people wanted to gather there. Front desk closes at 6 so no one to access after that until 9 am unless you phone someone. There was a fridge in the room. Flowers in the outdoor planters were fake (but put in dirt). If you want an iron you have to borrow one from the laundromat by the front desk. The windows did not have blinds in the suite area. Would not recommend staying in the suites. Maybe the cabins are fine?

We had a wonderful family trip with a toddler and infant and another young family. The perks of these cottages were the pool and playgrounds right in front of our cottages (47 and 48). Staff were very nice and accommodating and the location was right off the main strip in Cavendish. Beds were comfortable and BBQs were available at each cottage. Cottages were spacious with lots of room for several guests (2 large beds in one room, another large bed in the second room, and a pullout sofa in the living room). Some improvements for a higher rating would be cleanliness; mold on ceilings in bathroom, bathroom smelled musty and moldy. Improving appliances. We didn't have a dishwasher, however our family staying in the cottage next to us did. The stove was old and only some of the burners worked. The flooring in our cottage was not secure in some places and it felt like you could fall through the floor in some areas. We recognize that because of the pandemic some thinga that need improving likely could not be completed. We had a great time despite these things. Hopefully renovations can occur in the future because these cottages have lots of potential. Thanks for the great memories.

We had an awesome stay here. It was a very convenient location - minutes from sites, restaurants and coffee shops. Our room was spacious and clean. Though we didn't have time to use most of the amenities, it was great that there were pools and playgrounds to use. Check-in was quick and efficient and we didn't have any need to reach out to the front desk. There was ice for sale onsite as well as laundry. The laundry service closes when the front desk closes though, so that was a bit of a downfall as we were out checking the sites all day. Regardless, a wonderful stay and great value. We'd certainly recommend and hope to be back!

We booked our stay back in March of 2022. They were extremely helpful at that first interaction. Each time I emailed them to ask a question, there was always a prompt reply. When we arrived we were greeted In a very friendly manner, were given great instructions on rules and guideline of their business. Our cottage was clean and had everything we needed! We were close to all amenities and had a great stay. We would highly recommend and would stay there again
