Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We had an excellent stay. Comfortable bed, spacious living room and kitchen area, clean, fully stocked kitchen, friendly staff, and complimentary breakfast. Check-in was easy and guests who wanted to dine in for breakfast needed to have a wristband proving double vaccination status. I did however notice a lot of guests did not have their wristbands on. I would have felt more comfortable had a staff member be checking for the wristbands before allowing people to access the dining room. The kitchen was great for cooking but we didn’t think to bring cooking oil. There were pots, pans, utensils, and dishes. A microwave as well for heating any leftovers! We liked that there were a few Pyrex containers to store some leftovers that we could reheat the following day.

Will need to call down and book a time to use the pool (covid restrictions). My daughter and husband really enjoyed the indoor pool.

Parking is free for guests, just leave your plate number at the desk when you checkin.

Arriving quite late after a 5 hour drive into Toronto on a Friday night, I was welcomed at the front desk with incredible professional courtesy, friendliness, hotel orientation and descriptions of the range of services available to me as their guest. Michael absolutely treated me as a GUEST with his kind manner and thoughtful run through of what this hotel offers and is available to guests. My room was surprisingly spacious, nice decor, very clean, cozy sectional couch in a comfy living room area and the kitchenette is fully functional and well stocked for meal prep. I will stay here here again when I am in Toronto and I am glad to have discovered and experienced this gem! By the way, the website does not do justice to this place: you might consider better photos depicting the range of amenities provided, the cleanliness of the rooms, and the ease and convenience of the location of the Residence In Vaughn off the 407.

A very ordinary and basic hotel. But very clean! We stayed one night for a nearby wedding we attended. I’m happy to say the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the towels were even fluffy. The only thing that would have made it perfect is a hose in the shower, or even better a standup shower without the tub.

Decent hotel. Room was spacious and clean but the signs of aging are visible.
Breakfast is very basic and never changes- scrambled eggs, potatoes and pork sausages every day.
Another point I didn’t like is having to pay for the water bottles that in most hotels are complimentary.
My room wasn’t cleaned even though I removed the do not disturb sign before noontime.

1st trip to Canada, hotel staff helpful and friendly. Good location 5minute walk to sub station easy commute to down town.
Hotel room clean and comfortable bed. Kitchen area dull, some kitchen utensils/hand cloths need replacing.
Breakfast adequate, although could be more choice at weekend.
Yes use take out cups, plates etc if your on the move, but is it environmentally friendly to use for eating in ? not everyone likes eating off paper plates every morning. Dining area lacks atmosphere and always felt cold.
Social evening x3 weekly. Residence lacks a bar area, did use hotel next door.
Building work is planned near by. Overall a pleasant stay.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms and amenities were clean. Our only complaint was the breakfast. One bonus is that it's hot (eggs, sausage, etc). But the juice was terrible (tasted like it came out of a cheap can) and the utensils were all plastic, which is unnecessary - so wasteful. This was our second time staying here because it is nice and great for families, but the plastic at breakfast is a real turn-off.

We were happy with the hotel room and the breakfast meal, but floored with the extra charge. They call themselves "pet friendly", but charged a $100 cleaning fee because we had our dog. There is no way they could justify that to me. I will never stay in this hotel again.

Very clean and quiet studio room with full kitchen. Windows open in room. Pool was warm, free breakfast and great location for visiting Canada’s Wonderland. I was pleasantly surprised with our room and amenities and it was priced lower than other hotels in the area without a kitchen.

Nice hotel in good location to access Toronto via nearby transit station.

Rooms are spacious, breakfast ok, and certainly in line with expectation having stayed in this hotel brand many times over the years. Comfy bed and good Wi-Fi. Access to Toronto via Vaughan transit station - 5min walk away and Canada Wonderland theme park is a 10min car journey.

We have visited this hotel many times in the past. Always enjoyed it. This trip we asked for an accessible room. We were put into Room 110. The front desk clerk told us it was a 1 bedroom king suite. This was a queen suite. We would have rejected the suite had we known it was not a king. The bed was horrible. It was collapsed on one side. Basically, I was sleeping in a hole. Head and legs high, and middle completely sunken.
On the middle day of our stay, we requested the room to be cleaned while we were out for the day. When we returned, the bed was made. Floors not vacuumed. Dirty towels left on the floor and stuffed under the desk.
The area around our room was noisy. Doors slamming, kids running up and down the hall, people shouting, all after midnight.
As a gold member, I am very loyal to Marriot, and will continue to be loyal. However, I will definitely have to look for another property next time we are in the area. And we are in that area several times a year.

I should also add that there is a free breakfast there with Coffee,Tea and Hot Chocolate plus a buffet. There are coffee makers in the rooms but they are traditional ones and not Keurig.
