Went with our adult children and their partners. This year some things were off. The gym was closed in the pine lodge due to them reroofing. We had a gym in out unit but it was never opened.

Hot tubs were never opened in each condo section they were filling them but never opened.

Pools were packed and not enough chairs and the ones that were free were broken.

Our condo was beautiful but many things broken and dirty. The placemats were disgusting we washed them ourselves. One of the queen beds were broken. Fans in the room were broken ( the cords were cut) one of the shelving units in the closet kept breaking.

No mid week housekeeping due to not enough staff but the app says there is.

Will I go back yes because I love the view, the walks and the fact that you get to the mountain and never have to drive anywhere. I hope now that covid is over they can hire more staff so attention to detail can be had.

The room was spacious with a nice view and the pool and hot tub were fantastic. We found ourselves lounging in the pool for 2+hours in the afternoon. The location is fantastic and is a stones throw away from the chair lifts.
The only downfall is the grooming machines noise going ALL NIGHT! I had to purchase ear plugs and my husband needed to sleep with his Bluetooth headphones in. We both found ourselves still waking up throughout the night from the noise though.

First snowboarding adventure in many many years and it was great! The hill has many options for those people (like me) who aren't experienced enough to tackle the black diamonds. The resort itself was nice, we were right in the middle which made it easy to get around. The hot pools were lovely after a chilly day on the hill, I will say if you want to fully enjoy them, you need to get there by 3pm, otherwise they fill up with children. Would be nice if they had an adult only hot pool. The only bad thing I can say was the rental process was beyond painful. I waited outside in -25 degrees for over an hour to simply rent a snowboard. They need to get a bit more organized there. Overall was a great trip though!

This beautiful summer/winter resort has everything an outdoorsy family or friends could want. Hot pools, lots of trails to hike and bike, with restaurants and a small but well equipped grocery store. And while there are stairs in many buildings, some buildings do have elevators. And I've seen complaints about no AC. But consider this is a mountain resort and accommodating AC in all units for a few days of they year is unrealistic. I've noticed great values on airbnb for the resort and same access to all mountain amenities. It's well worth the visit.

We booked a two bed room condo 10 months in advance of our trip requesting to stay at Taynton Lodge, as it was Ski in ski out and had private hot tubs for Guests only. We were told at the time we could be moved to any of the upper village condos but as we’d booked so early and had no notification of change we would get our chosen accommodation. When we arrived we were put in 1000Peaks. No explanation or apology. Despite me saying three times that we had booked Taynton we receptionist ignored what I was saying and gave us our room keys and other information.
1000peaks was not ski in ski out had no private hot tubs and had nothing to make else to make up for the lack of those things. This in itself is a rip off but things just continued.
There was wardrobes to hang clothes and one small drawer in a bedside table other than that there was nowhere to put belongings and other clothing. So we ended up living out of a suitcase for a week of skiing. The kitchen equipment was poor and a health hazard. I tried ringing reception on numerous occasions for different things and got no answer. Ski lockers provided were not big enough for 4 stairs of skis ( I had to sign a sheet to say we would not take skis and boots into the rooms!
The sound insulation was appalling when someone ran a bath upstairs every night at 10pm it was like being under a waterfall. And as for vacuuming upstairs at 06.30!!
We book a transfer bus to get us from from Calgary Airport and then to Banff. The one that collected us was old uncomfortable and cold. Not good for a 4 hour transfer after a 9 hr flight. For our transfer to Banff we were told we had to make our way with all our luggage(skis, boots, suitcases etc) up to Taynton Lodge quite a walk on icy paths and roads uphill. We were told they could not pick us up at our accomodation as the bus could not stop outside, which we found very strange as it had done so when it dropped us off. So on our morning of check out we had to empty the room go down to central check in which involved a 5 minute walk to the gondola, go down on that and from the bottom a five minute walk to check in then the return of that to collect our luggage then a walk with that up to Taynton Lodge. Where the only place to wait for the bus was in a cold draughty porch no access into the warm building or a toilet.
We were the only people on the bus and despite this they would not drop us at our hotel in Banff but at a place 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
I have skied for the last 12 years and different resorts in Canada. One of the reasons we return is excellent customer service. Panorama Mountain resort accomodation customer service really is awful and lets Canada down.
I would say though that the only reason for a 2 not a 0 score is that the lift and lopsided staff were lovely

I have skied at Panorama since 1970. It was a wonderful hill for families, reasonably priced, welcomed locals and alright snow.

In the last 10-15 years it has changed drastically. Locals are not a priority there - parking is a joke and way far away and ticket prices are outrageous ($185 for a day ticket (plus tax!) and you have to pay $5 for a 'RFID' card. (Lake Louise which has way more lifts and terrain charges $169.00). Panorama has one tiny lodge at the base that is jammed packed (the 'lodges' on the hill are 2 little shacks).

I was just at Red Mountain. Way more and better terrain, more lifts, two good size lodges (one at Paradise chair that has great food!) and the other the base lodge and a day ticket costs $174 total. Parking is plentiful and a three minute walk to the lodge.

Overall, the Management at Panorama is greedy. A friend of mine, who also grew up skiing there, just went to Panorama two weeks ago after being at Kicking Horse and Revy and said the same thing - the hill is a rip off for what you get as a day skier. Catering to filling the hotel etc. Look at the questions above - Rooms, Service, Location.......not one about the hill and skiing there!!!!

They have lost my business and that of many others. We locals built that hill in 1966 and many bought $5,000 shares to get it up running with a T-Bar and Rope Tow and an A-Frame lodge (Ziggy ran the cafeteria!). Some gratitude they show to the locals now!!!

I even offered management some Super 8 videos taken on the hill in the early '70 by my father (and one tape taken from George Duthie's plane showing the hill from above - George was a founder too). I said to some manager there a few years ago (whom I was directed to speak with/ a decision maker), "I will edit the tapes and give you a USB memory stick for a couple of tickets." They had 'no interest'. I would have given the tapes to them for free, but he had an attitude. Colour videos of the hill and lodge back in the '70s and they said no! They could have them on a tv in the check-in area along with other pics etc.
Terrible management. Bye bye Panorama - thanks for the memories up till about 10 - 15 years ago.
PS. Build a bigger base lodge!!!!!!!!

This company does not see the relationship that profit and customer service share. We planned a trip to the mountain from weds to Fri. We are a family of 5. We always put our kids in daycare/lessons when we travel as me and my wife are both snowboarders and enjoy our time on the mountain as well. We have twins age 6 and a 5 year old. Normally our 5 year old would do a half day lesson, half day daycare. The 6 year olds will do full day lessons as they are too old for the daycare. On Wednesdays the daycare is closed so we had to put our 5 year old in full days lesson. So here's where it starts, we wake up Wednesday morning and it's pouring rain at the base. We call guest services to see if the lessons had been cancelled due to weather, they advise us the lessons will go on and the only thing that cancels lessons is the lifts not running. We ask if we can move our lessons to another day as we know it will not be enjoyable to take them in the pouring rain which was going to last all morning. Guest services advises they will reschedule once but if it happens again we take it or loose it, we agree and end up booking our hotel for one more night in order to re schedule the lesson and ride on a more enjoyable day. Now that we are scheduled for Friday a day that the daycare is open we asked to change our lesson in the afternoon into a afternoon at the daycare. They refuse and tell us it cannot be done. Our 5 year old takes his half day lesson Thursday the instructor advises us he is probably only good at this age for a half day, we explain our situation for our schedule Friday to him and he says let me go talk to my supervisor I think I can get this switched. He comes back and tells us they will not accommodate so we accept that and take him to the daycare for the afternoon. We pick him up at the end of the day and the worker asks if he will be coming back Tomorrow, we explain our situation to her and she has the same reply, let me see what I can do I will text you back when I hear something. She text back same result not willing to accommodate. Long story short it would have cost the resort nothing to make this change and availability was not the issue just their "rules". There were a few other issues with guest services from us paying cash for the tap cards then them not having cash to return to us when we brought them back and having us go to multiple offices to get our refund although none of them had cash. Just very poor customer service. Once they have your money don't expect any level of service to follow. We will be taking snowboard holidays for many years to come and this will be our last one to panorama.

Panorama Mountain resort was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay, BUT the Approach hotel was no more than a very expensive youth hostel! Hotel had just been refurbed but seems to be aimed at school trips and young groups…
There are zero facilities in the room e.g no coffee / tea making, fridge, hair dryer or safe and the wifi was shocking! We stayed for 10 days and had no housekeeping in that time. So no bins emptied, no new towels, no loo rolls, no bed change or bathroom clean, no clean (plastic) cups for the whole stay. We didn’t even see a housekeeping person! Luckily we changed rooms mid way through (to a slightly larger) which meant we got more loo roll and clean towels!
Can’t fault the location as it really was right next to two of the lifts and the magic carpet, but sadly at $350 per night we were disappointed with the hotel.
The Fireside Cafe downstairs was lovely and opened at 8am. But without coffee facilities in the room I needed it to be open earlier!

Perfect for families wanting to get away and be n nature. Also those with lots of energy to burn!
Not all accommodations are created equal. All the condos in the upper village are privately owned and rented out by pano resorts. We love the Springs bldg as the pools are attached. Also condos with the pm sun will be much hotter than those not! The older Pines is being renoed and older but most of the condos are well appointed simple accommodations allowing you to make your meals and save money… plus eat healthier.
Lots of hikes up the one mile chairlift for all abilities. Pools are loved by kids, bring a couple chairs or a mat. Lots of space if no lounge chairs are free. Or just sit on edge of the pool!
The small general store in lower village has everything and reasonable price IMO. Shop atNo Frills on way in… get what you need. Good prices.
Special shout-out to the daycare on site. Donna is absolutely amazing! We used them in the winter. They are closed in the summer. They do have some day camps in the summer which do hikes and exploring though!
My favourite part is the free underground parking….park day one and don’t drive anywhere for a week! That’s my idea of a holiday! Spend time visiting vs driving. Simple down to earth active vacations! Summer : Walks, hikes, bike rides, pools and time to make nice meals! Love it here! Winter: skiing xc and downhill, hot pools, warm meals and relaxing with those you love!
Kids 5 and under ski free, everyone skis free in the very beginner area including the t or button bar.
We love it here.

This is the best xc skiing in the world. Trails groomed so smooth and perfectly it felt like the superbowl of skiing. The scenery esp. on the great Scott was 2nd to none.
Out and back 25kms. Left you sad that the trail ended.
Unbelievable experience, I have been skiing
for 42 years and this was the best near perfect glide & grip!!!! What-a-day….
