The hotel is very well located. It's right on the beach, but also very close to the resort's points of interest. Its location gets a 10 out of 10. You can step out onto the beach from the hotel, and the resort center is just a 2-minute walk away. The beach is extremely clean and beautiful, well-maintained as always. We had a room with a sea view, situated at the corner of the hotel, so we had a view in two directions towards the sea - a superb view at any time of the day. The room was clean, adequately furnished, with a flat-screen TV, and a spacious room and balcony. Decent refrigerator. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work during our stay. It would stop after 25 seconds of starting and only worked in fan mode, not blowing cold air. We notified the hotel staff, and after 2 days, a team came to dismantle the ceiling-mounted air conditioning unit and work on it. After about an hour of their efforts, they finished, but the air conditioning still functioned the same, unfortunately. After another 2 days (this was on day 4 out of our 8-day stay), unannounced maintenance personnel came again and started working on the air conditioning. They entered the room without knocking at 8 in the morning. After an hour of 'work,' dismantling and reassembling, they left, but the air conditioning was STILL the same. Personally, it wasn't a big issue for me, but I expected a hotel of this caliber to have a functional air conditioning system, or at least for the maintenance team to have been able to fix it. The animation team was okay, not really impressive. I personally wasn't interested as I came with my girlfriend. Those who came with children seemed to enjoy the animation program, but I can't really comment on that aspect. The activities seemed similar every day except for one themed evening. There was a 'Bulgarian' themed evening where they served honey and various pastries along with brandy. They also had a mascot that tried to entertain the guests, which I found quite charming. The evening continued with Bulgarian dances performed by the animation team, which were interesting to watch. Moving on to the food, it seemed okay to me, but not worthy of being called "premium" all-inclusive. Breakfast had everything you needed – boiled and fried eggs, bacon, milk, coffee, cereal, salads, pastries, desserts, etc. Breakfast was the same every day, but there were plenty of options to combine so you wouldn't get bored. Lunch and dinner mostly had the same types of food with some variations – different soups, chicken, pork, and turkey prepared in various ways, sausages, grilled meat, pasta, natural and fried potatoes, etc. Like breakfast, you could mix and match these items in different ways to keep it interesting. Most of the desserts were mediocre, but they did serve a variety of ice cream flavors during lunch and dinner, which was a plus. Despite the variety in the lunch and dinner menu, sometimes certain types of meat weren't great. I encountered a few pieces that didn't taste quite right, but overall, I can't say I'm dissatisfied with the food. And now, in my opinion, the biggest downside of this hotel: THE DRINKS. The drinks, all of them, were below par. They felt heavily diluted with water. On top of that, bartenders were instructed to put up to 50ml of the alcoholic component in any cocktail – essentially a shot – and then fill the rest with juice or water depending on the cocktail. For example, a Cuba Libre would be 150ml of heavily diluted cola plus 50ml of rum (if the bartender is generous). This was the case with every single cocktail. They wouldn't give you a glass of straight whiskey or vodka if you asked, they serve "cocktails only" – this seemed to be the hotel's policy, unfortunately. The beer tasted like mineral water with a hint of beer scent (but not taste). The juices were like water with a splash of concentrated juice, and the cola was reminiscent of diluted cola with water. At the lobby bar, there was a woman who spoke Romanian, which was a nice touch. The snack bar between meals was basic: pastries, fruits, and maybe some food for lunch snack, while in the evening, it was quite limited – they had sandwiches in the fridge and not much else. Table service was okay, we always got a table, and the waitstaff were attentive, which was a plus. The terrace was quite spacious with various types of seating, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The pool was good but a bit small, with a depth of 1.40m. There were plenty of sun loungers by the pool with umbrellas, right at the exit towards the beach, and they had showers too. The parking area was relatively small for the number of guests. It cost 20 leva per day, and cars were parked one behind the other. When the car behind yours left, you had to hand over your keys to the reception for them to move your car. This happened 3 times during my stay – the parking area was full. As for the hotel recommendation, I recommend it. It's a good and convenient location, with a beautiful view of the sea, clean rooms – the cleaning lady came every day, and the food overall is okay, but the drinks are lacking. Upon checkout, we had an incident where they said towels were missing from the room, but when we brought those towels to the front desk and placed them in front of them, they apologized. It's worth mentioning that last year we were in the same period at the Longoza Hotel, which had a lower price with less food variety but much better drinks. You could actually feel the difference between juice and a cocktail. Because of this, I don't believe this hotel falls under the category of "premium" all-inclusive. I would have preferred less food variety but better drinks.

what we liked: - the hotel located on the beach - cleanliness -Drinking - the elderly lady from the cocktail bar what we didn't like - the food (there are not many types of food to choose from, tasteless food, not at all delicious, honestly canteen food) - this spoils the image of the hotel, which is really beautiful and elegant -very bad sweets, as well as tasteless food (I'm a person who loves sweets, but I really couldn't find anything to eat from the table) - parking that must be paid, 20 leva/day

Just back from Bulgaria after 2 wks hotel was changed from mercury to viand because of closure. Weren't sure what to expect but was very surprised everything was fine. Hotel viand was 4* but we rate 3* we were all inclusive there was no toaster, sausages (hot dogs) , no ice cream , fried eggs cold , always chicken fish pork , no entertainment nothing major. However the staff were very friendly very helpful drinks were plentiful overall holiday was great hotel situated in close range of pubs and restaurants and very close to strip . Just a few hiccups but generally overall perfect holiday.

+location, next to the beach +nice staff +clean +drinks and food are ok +Sunny Beach is interesting city -small pool -no animations, I've seen some for kids but it looked poor Overall good hotel for people who thinks that location is the most important or people who want hotel next to beach and peaceful atmosphere. I'm not sure if it's good hotel if u want to have fun in hotel with group of friends or family. For me it was quite boring, but maybe it's because of COVID, I was in this hotel in August 2020.

We returned from the hotel yesterday. I rate the hotel well. Rooms clean and cleaned every day. The staff is nice and very helpful, especially the ladies at the reception. A very big advantage of the hotel is its location - right on the beach. In addition, if you choose a room with a view of the sea, the view is beautiful. Now it is time for the weaker points. First of all, the food - is unfortunately monotonous and mostly tasteless (although there were a few exceptions). The small pool is also a disadvantage, but I didn't take it into account in rating, because it is something we expected from the pictures. The animation programme for adults is rather poor, however for children it is very nice, the animator was very nice and immediately gained the sympathy of my daughter. Other attractions for children include a small playground in the garden. A huge minus, but this is very subjective, are omnipresent smokers (unfortunately it was impossible to eat outside or lie down on the loungers). Generally, if you care about beautiful views, closeness to the sea, and food is not an important issue for you, I recommend it.

I am writing this while staying at hotel Viand. The first thing that came into my attention is that no one respects the hygene rules. No one wears masks, not even the staff. Meanwhile the world is struggling to control the virus... În my opinion, it is outrageous. The rooms are quite spacious, but definitely not the cleanest I've ever seen. Just a small bar of soap în the bathroom, for three persons. I vad to clean the toilet modele, as it was obviously poorly cleaned. Let's hope the food is better....

This hotel is not 4 star. I made a reservation for 2 rooms 2 famillies and we asked to have neighboring rooms. The lady at the reception, was very naughty by the way, she said she didn’t have neighboring rooms, then we at least asked to give it to same floor.... same she also replied very naughtily that she don’t have. What management is this? In the rooms the dryer hair doesn't work and don't tell me it's because of covid because it works in other rooms. non-functional bulbs and sockets. I'm not talking about food, disaster, you don't really have anything to eat. have you heard of french fries? Very disappointed. this is the 3rd time we come to sunny beach. I have not suffered such a thing. you ruined our vacation. You do nothing to please the customer. Change the lady at the reception. spoils the image of the hotel. you can't get along with her

The hotel is nice and we had fun. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. It is an all inclusive hotel, including alcohol, but there is not much variety of alcohol. The staff are very friendly and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and happy; this is the reason for the higher score I gave the hotel. The pool is small, the dining room is very small and sometimes there are not enough chairs, the variety of food is not so great, not enough variety of food. The reception area is very small and there is not enough staff at the reception. The hotel manager is always there like she is not sleeping at all. The location is excellent; the hotel is on the beach.

Ok so here is my comprehensive opinion on the Viand. On entering we were greeted well by the nice lady on the desk and the hotel looks very nice, especially compared to some of the local competition but it's not until you look a little deeper after the first impression that you start to see a little more. As we made our way through the hotel and went up in the lift that looks like it should have belonged in the empire state building in the 1940's which I think gave it character, I notice many of the bulbs were odd colours, some yellow and some white which of course doesn't matter but it shows the care given to the hotel and possibly a lack of proper management. The room was nice but the balcony door seals had perished so if the wind blew it sounded like a wolf was howling on the balcony, then I turned on the tv and found the only English channel and found that every few minutes the ancient tv made a noise not too dissimilar from a wrong answer on an 80's game show but at 300% of the tv volume so you can imagine that between the wolf on the balcony and the 80's game show, falling asleep in front of the tv was unlikely to say the least. After finding that the wi-fi on the 5th floor at least, was broken with intermittent signal only available 1ft from the front door so Netflix was also out, it was also a little strange to book for a couple and have two single beds pushed together with single over sheets and blankets, when either myself or my partner got closer to each other in bed then one of us would sink down the middle so it literally put a barrier between us. I then made myself downstairs for some dinner, in the lift I met a German guy on his last day and he was moaning about how bad the food was, I reserved judgement and continued on... The food look varied and interesting so I filled up on a bit of nearly everything and it tasted nice but the next day I had what I can only describe as explosive diarrhea. It took a couple of days to settle down and after I was a bit more selective, often trying to have toast in a broken toaster, only one side of 2/4 slots worked which was fun for a hotel designed for hundreds of people. Some strange dishes started to appear and dishes were often incorrectly labelled, sprouts labelled cauliflower, chicken hearts and lungs just labelled 'chicken meal' and the best one was chicken stomachs labelled 'pork meal'. My girlfriend being European continued to eat them but being english we do not usually and expect correct labels at least, if I went to a French hotel you wouldn't expect a dish of monkey brains to be labelled 'chicken meal' would you?! Then my girlfriend pointed out that they hadn't peeled the stomach lining which is inedible and apparently that's a ridiculous mistake. I also noticed that the food was mostly cold or at least warm but rarely hot, I never saw any front of house staff taking any temperatures which probably explains my stomach problems and I often saw customers heating there food in the microwave, the pasta was always overcooked and the eggs were usually either burnt with black lumps in the scrambled and the fried were grey and curled up like they had been cooked nearly an hour before the start of service and this leads back to my light bulb comments earlier (lack of management) The sun beds in front of the hotel on the beach are charged for which isn't that unusual but when you look at the hotel next door has provided them next to the pool and on the beach it seemed a bit of a kick in the teeth so I laid on the sand in protest. In closing I would like to say it's not a bad hotel and with the right leadership it could be very good but nobody seemed to be in charge. Also I would like to say that the lady on the front desk and valentine the barman were very nice and professional, especially valentine.
