Detailed Reviews
I stayed here with my wife and my sister for one night and we all agreed that this is a tough one to review. The property is literally right off the exit of I-40. The rooms (we had two) seemed to have been refurbished recently with new floors (hard surface), baseboards, fresh paint, and maybe new furniture and fixtures. The rooms were clean, although the mattress pad in one was badly stained and it was showing through the bed sheet. Each room had a TV and refrigerator.
If you're looking for luxury, look someplace else. If you're looking for a place to sleep at a decent price, maybe this is for you. The rooms were nothing to write home about in terms of style and luxury, but they were adequate. The breakfast was a little sparse, but it was adequate for a quick bite before taking off. The coffee at breakfast, however, was better than we had thought it would be. Although we did not use it, the pool looked to be OK, also.
Now, here's the "but". We can't put our finger on it, but there was something that felt a little off to us. For example, the door jamb to our room looked like it had been cut, bent, and straightened many times, maybe from someone trying to break into the room? Although the door closed and locked, it didn't fit quite right due to the damaged door jamb. The walls seem awfully thin and transmit noise from the other rooms. Someone was playing some music in the room upstairs or next door to ours for hours, and we could hear it clearly in our room. But, the music stopped before 10:00 at night, so I guess there's not much to complain about. And we're not sure, but it seems like there were a few long-term guests or residents living in some of the rooms at the back of the hotel. It would be wrong to say that something really bothered us, but also we felt something just was little bit different with this motel.

Nicely renovated hotel.
The manager was extremely accommodating when we requested a different room. Pet friendly is what we always look for when finding a hotel and this spot was great. I definitely recommend staying here.

Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived for 1 night while in transit. The desk agent was helpful in getting us a first-floor room and secure parking.
Room- tight if more than 2 people in a double. There is a comfy chair, but it's next to the air conditioner. Room is renovated but hinges and doors show age. Overall clean and served it's purpose.
Breakfast- beverages, cerceal, make your own waffles, fruit, bread products, yogurt.(I'm sure I forgot something)
There was a outdoor pool, game room, fitness center (we did not use these)

Hotel's Favourite
The gentleman that checked us in and out was very friendly. The outside of the hotel may look a little dated, but the room we stayed in was clean, updated, and nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I’m in the area. Several food options were within walking distance.

I stayed here recently due to bad weather and I needed to be near my job. I had a king room on the ground floor. It was very clean and spacious, with a microwave and refrigerator, just what I needed. This is an older property, but it has been remodeled, and the rooms are pretty nice. The bed was comfortable, and I slept well. The air conditioning can be set on “continuous “, which I love for the white noise. The staff are great, and Mitch made sure I had everything I needed. Breakfast is a grab bag, which is fine, and pretty standard for hotels during pandemic times. There’s a Waffle House across the street, as well as a grocery store that has hot food and a sandwich/salad bar.
I would definitely give this property my business again! Thank you for a great stay!

Room was very nice! We had a suite. Room was clean and everything looked new. There were extra linens and pillows in the drawers, which was nice since we are a family of 5. There is a pizza place in walking distance and a waffle house across the street, also a crackle barrel and apple bees down the road. Will return to stay again. Highly recommend.

The rooms are very nice, however, unless you are used to hanging out in a smoke filled bar be prepared. Walking distance to restaurants is a bit of a stretch. Disappointing but you get what you pay for. Choice hotels might go on my back burner for a while.

+1
Stayed for a few days in April. Booked the 2 queen suite, and it was very spacious. Two adults, two kids, and a baby fit very comfortably. One kid sometimes slept on the sofa in the second room, and the baby was in her pack-n-play in there as well.
The room was clean, and we got exactly what we had booked. Breakfast was nice. Waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt were the options. Juice and coffee as well. It was small, but fitting for the scale of this hotel.
The only downsides to our room was the placement. We were facing the interstate, so it was a bit loud. That said, I had no issue falling asleep. It wasn't so loud as to be disturbing.
Will this be a contender for our next visit to Statesville? Yes. I would stay here again. What we got for what we paid was good.

Stayed one night on migration north. Not bad online rate. Good - it is clean, convenient, nice size room and includes breakfast. Not so good - you can clearly hear the next room, and a lot of road noise. If you turn on the air and fan the white noise helps. It was fine for a one night stay.

We chose this hotel for the first time after reading positive reviews and not being satisfied with the hotel that we previously stayed with.
It turned out to be the right decision for us and we were delighted with the hotel amenities, service and cleanliness. Mitch (manager in the evening and morning) was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed concerning our stay and in the morning, Cheryl was very helpful when were getting ready to leave.
Get this: an actual human gave us our morning wake up call!
We decided that we will be staying here on our way to Florida in January and again in the spring. We're sold on it!
