We stayed at the Essential Luxury hotel whilst in Indore to watch the India v Australia cricket test.
It costs about 300 rupees for an Uber/Ola from the airport to the hotel and a tuk tuk from the road in front of the hotel cost us about 100 to 150 rupees into the centre of town
It was a pleasant stay, but I believe a few tweaks are needed to make this hotel truly luxury.
Firstly, the lovely pool area is much in need of sun loungers and umbrellas, for those wishing to spend an hour or two by the pool.
Secondly, although we did not dine in the restaurant, I found that breakfast service was a bit ad hoc. A hostess would greet you on arrival and escort you to the buffet area, where you were just left to your own devices. It would be much better if you were handed over to one of the waiting staff, who would then seat you and offer tea or coffee.
The gym/fitness room was lacking in equipment and organisation and tucked away in the basement, with little signage. Several guests that I met were disappointed in this facility.
On the last night of our stay a loud concert was held at the rear of the hotel. As a courtesy, guests who were staying in rooms overlooking this area, should have been advised of this. This would merely have involved leaving a note in the rooms of those affected.
Our room was spacious, unlike the bathroom, which was tiny. Housekeeping was of a good standard and two bottles of water were left by housekeeping each day. Wifi signal was good.
Overall, our stay was good, but not luxury. With just a few tweaks, this hotel could be even better.

I recently stayed at your property from 15th to 18th December, with the first two nights booked via a third-party agent and the third night directly through the hotel. For the final night, I was charged ₹6,700, a rate that, as per my understanding, included breakfast. However, I was never informed by the front office team about this inclusion, and I missed out on the breakfast service. Additionally, the reservation form for the third night was never signed, raising concerns about standard operating procedures.
Throughout my stay, I experienced slow service on multiple occasions. Despite requesting basic towel art or some room decoration for our first night as newlyweds, nothing was arranged. Small gestures like these could have significantly enhanced our experience.
The breakfast service was slow, and essential items like cutlery, crockery, and cruet sets were not readily available.
At the time of check-out, I requested a General Manager’s business card, but my request was repeatedly denied. I spoke with Ms. Anita (Reservation Manager), whose approach was rude and dismissive. Instead of addressing my concern or facilitating a conversation with senior management, she offered to remove the breakfast charges, speaking as if she were doing me a charity. I firmly responded with, “Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t need charity; I just want to meet your General Manager.” Despite my insistence, she repeatedly handed me the AFOM’s card instead of assisting me in connecting with higher management.
This experience was extremely disappointing and did not meet the hospitality standards I expected, especially as a newlywed couple. I hope my feedback is taken seriously, and steps are taken to address these lapses in service and professionalism.

I went to a very beautiful luxury hotel for dinner with my friend, and it was my birthday that day. The staff there was amazing, and they celebrated my birthday in such a wonderful way, making me feel like I was with family. The food was not only delicious but also very hygienic. Samrat, a staff member, was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to assist us. It was a fantastic experience, and I truly enjoyed it.

First and foremost, the check-in experience gained a bonus with Mr Satish providing a kind tour of the hotel, the choice of restaurants and bars at the hotel, pool side live gig spot, and other facilities. The highlights of the place would be the staff at the blue salt restaurant, especially Mr Sohan Singh, Aswani, Babulal and Dilraj for their ceaseless attention to details and genuine professionalism all through, and last but not the least the personal interactions with the chef, Mr Chabi. Both Aswani and Babulal’s daily attention on our food preferences was exemplary, a special thanks for looking after my Mother.
The food, whether it was the buffet or the À la carte, was absolutely top notch and so was the service everytime which inadvertently brought us back there for nearly every meal except some night outs in the lovely city. Even though we tipped both generously and frequently every time we were down at the restaurant, the genuine nature of the service goes beyond that. During our last day, the kind gesture of a brilliant chocolate cake for the family at the Blue Salt was particularly appreciated. The special event at the Porch on Independence Day with staff and guests was brilliant!
Some downsides; The reservation was made for three people, however, we felt the need to provide repeated reminders for the daily amenities meant for the third person. The room service and provision of room essentials clearly aimed for two people. This required extra effort on our part throughout our stay for 9 days there. The cleaning on the other hand was quite good throughout the stay, and Ravi (one of our more regular turndown staff) was exceptional.
The true disappointment, however, was the staff at poolside bar Splash. They were rude, unprepared and incompetent every single time we found ourselves there resulting in us walking out on a couple of occasions due to very poor or no service. This evidently drove all customers away on most days. This is a real shame because the live gig by the poolside every evening was an absolute delight with brilliant performers.
During our check-out, despite us reminding the front desk of our departure hour as our pick up car arrived on time, nobody was sent to the room for the luggages. Meanwhile, the staff were waiting downstairs to take group photos with us and also expecting tips at the exit. Clearly a wrong area to focus. This was a bit out of character for the hotel and an area for improvement.
Overall, once again the staff members named in the first para above deserves huge accolades for their extraordinary professionalism, ceaseless attention to details, and genuine care to make our 9 day stay a highly satisfying one.

Great hotel for our last night in indore We arrived before 12pm and we could have a room straight away instead of just dropping the bags in the luggage area! Staff was friendly, hotel was nice, room was clean and big enough, space for luggage, tea/coffee offered every day, I didn't expect a breakfast but there was one, it was a lovely buffet where I could get the last Finnish things for the last breakfast in restaurant front desk staff was so polite and humble We went for a last stroll around indore and could leave the luggage in the luggage room which was nice.
