The staff was great but they do need more employees. Also, the site needs to be updated. The pool was closed and there was no breakfast. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Except there were issues with the bathrooms. Mine had a clogged toilet and my sons had mold on the ceilings.
Room was clean, but the shower rod was falling apart. We specifically booked this property because of the pool and included breakfast. The pool was closed and looked like it was never opened. No breakfast offered at all. Other hotels are offering both, so not sure why they were not. I would have been nice if they had notified us in advance instead of finding out after we got there or offered a discount.
I made a reservation on line and when I arrived at the property they had no record of it. I gave them the confirmation number. I gave them a copy of the email confirmation and the would not honor it. I asked if they had a room available and was told yes but not at the reserved rate. I could have a room if I paid more. I checked into another hotel. This place is running on a shoestring they live at the hotel and the whole place smells like some one has been frying food all day. STAY AWAY
My family had a two day stay at baymont in Roanoke last week and I must say there are a few things that could be updated but the customer service we received from the moment we arrived was spectacular! The front desk clerk, Ashley was amazingly sweet. With the pandemic, as a family we appreciate those who show up in general for work but she made sure all our needs were met. Providing us warm fresh towels right out of the dryer was the cake topper. But besides the minor upgrades, everything was pretty clean and met our satisfaction.
We called made last minute reservation we had to leave New England early due to Henri . Called to confirm with reservation Dept showed up 20 minutes later at 11:30pm and they hotel didn’t have any record of our booking and no rooms available. I called back reservation to get refund they sent me to a customer service number that was not open Called 4 times next day finally got to customer service she said you have to get refund from hotel manager on site. She could not give me direct line to hotel. Then she told me to call my credit card company and sort it out with them Not once did she apologize for the mixup. I will never do business with this hotel chain again. In hindsight the hotel looked run down people outside hanging around not a safe area. We slept at rest area for a few hours and that seemed to be a safer and cleaner option…
