Our recent three night stay at the Elizabeth Leigh Inn was so wonderful and very relaxing! During these Covid times, we were very concerned if it was the right time for a road trip which required overnight accommodations, but fortunately The Elizabeth Leigh Inn was highly recommended by a very reliable source who we could trust, and they were absolutely right! From the moment we walked in the front door we felt right
at home in this most charming setting owned and operated by Cindy and Mike Baer. They have put so much attention into every detail to make this B&B very memorable and so very special!! The bedroom was spacious and extremely comfortable, the most delicious breakfast was served to us in the morning specifically at the time we requested, and a delicious homemade desert was waiting for us when returning from our evening out! It was a beautiful setting perfect for relaxing on their porch with a good book or just listening to the waterfall as we admired the gorgeous hydrangeas in their garden! It was a perfect getaway which exceeded my expectations!!
Will definitely return sometime soon! We highly recommend this special B&B for anyone looking for a special getaway as this is definitely the place you must stay while enjoying all of what Hendersonville has to offer!! The Baer’s are great people who take a lot of pride in their business and making their guests comfortable. Treat yourself to this special experience!!

We were traveling with friends on a road trip itinerary written about in the Wall Street Journal. The Elizabeth Leigh Inn is worth every penny. We stayed in the Rose Room located on the first floor. The furnishings were well coordinated, and the king size bed was super comfortable. The large room featured a fire place and full length sofa great for reading. We spent most of our free time at the inn on the large wraparound porch enjoying the perfect weather. Cindy is amazing - she does it all - the gardens offered other locations for relaxing and I could see having special events on the grounds. There was a wide variety of complimentary snacks and drinks provided including beer and wine. Cindy's breakfasts were outstanding. She also had a wealth of information about what to do and where to eat in the Hendersonville area. We felt the inn was worth every penny.

If you’re looking for a beautifully curated experience and inn… this is your spot. The historic home is georgeous and the rooms are like stepping back in time (in a good way). The grounds are stunning the hydrangeas are huge and the water feature is the perfect place to sip coffee in the morning. Breakfast… move over Paula Dean… Cindy is the queen of her kitchen and she gives it her whole heart. Stay here… you won’t regret it… in fact like my parents… you will probably want to come back as soon as possible.

Hey Mrs Cindy… thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. I cannot tell you how highly my parents spoke of you and your beautiful inn. I guess we can say “home away from home” moving forward. My mom was already talking about staying the next time she comes out. So special! You definitely went above and beyond for all of us and the warmth, openness and hospitality was truly more than I could have asked for. I always thought bed and breakfasts were kinda old fashioned…. In favor of hotels and airbnbs… now I understand what the fuss is all about 😉. Thanks again and y’all are the best! (My note to Cindy the inns owner)

Words cannot express how absolutely wonderful our stay was at the Elizabeth Leigh Inn!
Cindy and Mike were some of the best hosts we have ever experienced in our travels- so welcoming, accommodating, pleasant...the list could go on and on. They have thought of every little detail to create this beautiful B and B. We literally felt as if we were visiting a home of very special friends.
Every single room is elegant, yet warm and inviting. The grounds are unbelievable with several places to sit out and enjoy coffee or cocktails, Cindy’s homemade pound cake, snacks or just to enjoy the gorgeous porch and grounds.
Cindy’s breakfasts are to die for!
Great location to visit Hendersonville by foot or by car.
We highly recommend Elizabeth Leigh Inn and Cindy and Mike to anyone staying in the area!

My husband and I made a reservation 4 months in advance. I called before our arrival to inform them that my husband has a service animal. The innkeeper, Cindy Baer, refused to accept the service animal, which is in violation of the Federal and North Carolina ADA laws. She was unapologetic and proceeded to cancel our reservation. We had to scramble to find a room at one of the busiest times of the year. We have never been treated like that by any other hotel.

This was our second visit to the Elizabeth Leigh Inn and it did not disappoint! Cindy and Mike are wonderful and accommodating hosts!
We were on our way to take our granddaughter to camp and it was such a great experience to be able to stay in this beautiful inn and enjoy a wonderful breakfast in the lovely dining room before we dropped her off at camp. It will be a wonderful memory for her.
My family highly recommends the Elizabeth Leigh Inn!!

The wife and I took a quick overnight trip to Hendersonville for our anniversary. Hendersonville has lots of great breweries, restaurants and shops. We chose Elizabeth Leigh Inn as our stay, and what a great choice that turned out to be. Cindy and Mike were excellent hosts. The Inn is very clean, decorated beautifully, comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms, home cooked breakfast, wonderful porch for drinking coffee, lovely landscaping, and on and on. Also, you are withing walking distance to all Hendersonville's attractions. You can tell that Cindy puts her heart and soul into her business. We had a great and relaxing visit, and I know if you go, you will also.

Recently we took a vacation to see the Fall foliage along the Blue Ridge Parkway stretching from VA to NC. We wanted to be adventurous and embrace a new experience by staying at a B&B.

We located a very charming B&B in Henderson, NC called the Elizabeth Leigh Inn.
We were in awe of the lovely decorum, the attention to detail, and the cleanliness of the home. The owners, Cindy and Mike, truly made us feel welcomed.

Equally, the food was absolutely wonderful. Cindy showcased her Southern culinary skills for breakfast by making the best biscuits and gray. As an afternoon snack, she provided an Apple Walnut cake that was to die for. Additionally, Cindy was mindful of the dietary needs. In fact, she even had gluten free chocolate chip cookies.

In closing, we believe Cindy has set a very high bar. As a point of note, the pictures on the website actually capture the “look and feel” of this Southern style B&B. There were no surprises that led to a disappointing experience. We will definitely have return visits to the Elizabeth Leigh Inn.

When I was 8 months pregnant, my husband took me to visit the Elizabeth Leigh Inn! When we arrived, I was impressed by the beauty of the property. It is just stunning! We carried our bags into the front door and waited for about ten minutes- we knew our room was on the main floor and thought maybe we were supposed to drop our bags there (as some inns have had us do in the past), but I decided against it. We waited on the porch for about half an hour before the inn keeper came back through, and she welcomed us warmly.

I was very excited that they had ground-level floors, because being 8 months pregnant and having a history of some minor pregnancy-related cardiac issues, I did not want to deal with climbing the stairs. She began to show us to our room, and led us toward the stairs. When I questioned the fact that I booked the room on the ground level, she replied "Oh yes! You did, but a family decided they wanted to book two rooms and wanted that one. Your room will be upstairs!" Well then... I didn't want to put up a stink, but I was very disappointed. Before I asked, there was no acknowledgement of the fact that she had moved our room. I would have preferred a call to the phone number they had on file to ask if that would be alright or at the very least, to notify us so I was not upset about it when we arrived.

I decided to suck it up and haul my huge self up the stairs- many times, over and over throughout the trip! Other than that, the house was amazing. From the unlimited drinks (that my husband enjoyed) to desserts and the absolutely delicious breakfast! The inn keeper was a fabulous host and always made us feel welcome.

The TV was very small, but who needs to watch TV when there is so much to do and see in the area? We loved visiting and will visit again for sure!
