5 night stay at this Yonkers gem was a treat to myself. Great customer service! When I arrived I requested a microwave be sent to my room and within 5 minutes of walking through the door the staff arrived with the microwave. The next day I called to alert the staff my refrigerator wasn’t getting cold and working 10 minutes maintenance arrived to replace it. The room was sparkling clean... I know because I Clorox wiped everything when I arrived and not a speck of dirt. Pretty much wasted 10 Clorox wipes the room was so clean.

It was convenient because it's in the middle of a mall, so everything I needed was there. The mall was decorated during the holidays, so it was very pretty. However, if you don't have a car, this isn't the most convenient place to stay, as you'd have to take an Uber or the bus to get to the subway station in the Bronx, and the subway stations aren't located in the safest neighborhood, either. You can take the Metro North to the city, but still not the most convenient and the train stations aren't located in he most safe areas, either, as they are very exposed. Keep in mind while the Metro North is a train and it's cleaner, it is also more costly than the subway. I stayed here as an extended stay for work. The bed is very comfortable and the temperature in the room was adequate, although there were nights it took a while for the heater to kick in. Other than that, I was in a one bedroom suite with a kitchenette. It was comfortable and met what I needed while looking for an apartment in NYC. I wish the kitchenette had a stove top, but you can use the microwave as an oven, but I didn't get to use that feature that much because I didn't have a freezer where I could have frozen meals, so it was rather pricey having to eat out almost every night. I was hoping this Hyatt Place would have a stove top like the one in Chelsea, but it didn't. It still met the purpose of my stay at the time, so all in all, it was a good stay and will return. My only suggestion would be to select your front desk staff better because some of them seemed to be unhappy and were unhelpful at times. But most of them were helpful and the housekeeping service was great (keep in mind they could only do housekeeping service every 3rd day of your stay due to covid).

Guest room (single king, no pull-out sofa) was small but accommodating. Nice bathroom. Room was clean, hallways not so much. Appreciated the COVID accommodation that allowed you to schedule time at the pool and fitness room for you and your family. Mask policy among guests was not enforced, so lots of people walking around and in elevators without masks. Hot breakfast was as expected from a convenience kitchen; the grab-and-go bags were less enticing. Room cleaning every three days could be inconvenient depending on your stay. With students moving into Sarah Lawrence College, the hotel was hopping but everything seemed to run smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

This Hyatt Place seems to be fairly new. The rooms are in great shape, and quite large, with a small sitting area that is somewhat separate from the bed area. All the staff we encountered were nice and helpful. The hotel is located in a shopping center, so there is plenty of free parking and places to eat. We stayed here when going to a baseball game at Yankee Stadium, and used Uber/Lyft to avoid having to deal with traffic and parking. The hotel was quite convenient for going to the stadium, and the cost for Uber was just slightly more than we would have paid for parking at the stadium.

Clean, all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Located in the middle of a walking mall, there is even a grocery store which was convenient. There was a broken elevator but the wait time was almost seconds for the working one. Nice gym and complimentary breakfast had several healthy options. Near numerous restaurants and Uber rides to them averaged $6.00. There were at least a dozen dinning options to walk to around the hotel. Despite the location there was ample parking.

Nice room - kind beg and sofa. Room was laid out well. Even my teenage son commented on how nice the bathroom was. Walls are very thin so you count on people not hanging out in hallways.
Breakfast was very good and had plenty of healthy choices. Staff was very helpful. Michelle was particularly helpful and welcoming.

Hotel is new in clean , located in the big shopping mall location, but during my stay most stores were closed due to COVID-19 pandemic. Only T -mobile was opened. I stayed there for 1 month , and my experiences were mostly positive. Hotel new and clean, staff friendly. Facility has an operational gym / reservations only : 1 person at the time/. If you are looking for a big shopping spree, this is the perfect place to stay when the stores will be opened again.

There was a foul odor in the center of the room that was I’m possibly emanating from the hike in the ceiling. The grab and go breakfast left much to be desired, too many sweets. Other than that, the staff and bed were great. Hyatt has really scaled back, there was not lotion or shower gel provided. We had to shower with the same bar soap that was provided for us to wash our hands.

Customer service was very poor. Not what I remembered being that I have stayed here multiple times in the past. It has been about 3 years and staff has gotten way more laid back since then.
My stay was 4 nights and I was told that there wouldn’t be room service unless I requested it. When I did request it, they only dropped off towels and sheets. Didn’t remove trash from the room (which was placed neatly at the door), didn’t come make the bed, didn’t grab dirty linen (also placed neatly on the floor ready for pick up), didn’t refill toilet paper.
Toilet paper must have been a hot commodity because it took someone over an hour to bring some tissue to my room after calling several times.
The associates at the front desk were very unprofessional & seemed to be talking down on us whenever we called or approached with a question.
We called to ask for info on the laundry room. You have to get cash and ask the front desk for quarters (which was not explained) and when we came down for change, we were ignored for 12 minutes while associates were there having a non-work related conversation. Another employee had pointed us out and even after that we waited another 5 minutes until we were helped.
THERES NO ATM AT THE HOTEL but there are banks in the surrounding mall area.

The Metro North is not near by, but the Bee Line bus does stopninside the mall itself making it convenient as well or you can always cab it if that's an option for you.
