We enjoyed the stay on this beautiful complex and the great multi-storey apartment. The apartment was nicely decorated and had a large kitchen and a spacious living-dining area with balcony. The kitchen had everything we needed with kettle, hob and oven. In addition to the washing machine and dryer, a laundry basket and a clothes rack were also available for proper washing, which unfortunately was not the case at many other places on our trip. The stay was only clouded by the fact that the bathroom was dirty on arrival, but this was settled at our request.

Oceans Resort Whitianga was perfect for a relaxing three-night stay. The apartment, complete with washer/dryer and fully-equipped kitchen, was a welcome change from formal hotels. It was great to be able to casually plan our own meals, and a small grocery store was conveniently located just around the corner. A scenic cruise of Mercury Bay and the Marine Reserve was on our to-do list, and the boat docks were only a short walk down the beach.
The Resort Manager and housekeeping staff were incredible. After our first night, there was a problem with the TV in the living room. When the Resort Manager came the next day to assist, she found a potential electrical issue and insisted that we move to a different apartment. After looking at several unoccupied units, we just moved to a similar one right next door. They are independently owned condos, so are naturally all different. Our new apartment was much nicer with better furnishings, tasteful color selections and decor, etc. We certainly appreciated being able to change from Apartment 6 to Apartment 7.

We booked a one bedroom apartment via booking.com. We were allocated a two bedroom/two bathroom set out over two floors, but were not able to use the second bedroom and second bathroom or we would be charged an additional rate which was fair enough.
The apartment was spacious, laundry area with tub and dryer. Upstairs was big open plan lounge and kitchen. Bathroom with a bath and shower over. Bedroom with a good sized bed and decent wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board. The outdoor area had a clothes rack to dry clothes.
Nice balcony overlooking the pool, which can be noisy at times, however, there is a 8pm noise control in place which works well.
Very quiet over night, until the birds wake at 5 a.m. !
Easy few minutes walk to Whitianga Wharf, town centre and beach. Supermarkets a short drive away, or about a 20 minute walk. There is a Four Square around the corner for basics.
No late check out allowed (10 a.m.)
Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Okay-so we have stayed here on multiple vacations. This time was a real disappointment. Let’s start with the PROs:
-location to town centre, beach and ferry
-own private large space
-downstairs bed was very comfortable and shower excellent
CONs:
-when I arrive I don’t splattered poop on the floor beside the toilet, poop in the bowl and running down the other side of the toilet
-no laundry soap on arrival had to go ask for some
-no dish soap (bought on our own-could have asked but no one in the office at that time
-apartment needs a real dusting and a good vacuum
-clumps of long grey hairs balled up found on carpet and couch
-fan was old and rusted (went out and bought our own-office closed)
-outdoor clothes hanging area half broken
-1st night day SKY TV reception lost at approx. 3pm, when asked about it was told it was the weather-but all five days we stayed we always lost the SKY TV at approx the same time each day and didn’t notice it back until the next morning
Maybe the change is due to it having new ownership since our last visit in 2019. Now a corporate run accommodation. Very overpriced.

We stayed in apartment number nine. This is a three bedroomed apartment with two bathrooms and needs a really good clean!!!
You could write your name in the dust on the washing machine in the downstairs, utility and on the bed heads in all three bedrooms and on the blinds in the bedrooms, there were no plugs that fitted either handbasin and the apartment was in poor decorative order. We had friends in other apartment's on the complex, these were in a much better decorative state, and had certainly been cleaned to a much higher standard.

This is our "go to" accommodation when visiting Whitianga. It's location is fantastic for the beach, The Lost Spring and the town centre/supermarkets. The staff are always helpful and welcoming. We have had different apartment units each time, and they have everything you need in them, including a fan, toiletries, extra pillows and blankets. Even their reception has dvds, if you are staying in, as well as spades to borrow for hot water beach. Having the kitchenette is great for preparing your picnic for the next day, or cooking a light meal on arrival. Always extremely clean and comfortable. We will be back.

Very central for restaurants, beach and the little ferry. Washing machine with powder and tumble dryer. Beach towels, spades for hot water beach etc available from the very helpful receptionist. Heated outdoor pool. We only stayed 2 nights but it did the job.

We loved our stay here! We booked a 1 bedroom apartment but was upgraded to a 2 bedroom which was a nice surprise! The place was huge with balcony’s on both sides. Had everything you needed and a perfect location. Staff were amazing and the entire facility is clean and well maintained. The bikes in the garage were an added bonus and the tennis courts

This was our third stay, previously in 2013 & 2014. We booked over a year in advance. We had arrived in NZ that morning. So we were very grateful to get in the room so early and thank you all very much for making that happen.
Love the location. So nice to park the car and be able to walk everywhere. Great having the pool. Having the outdoor covered laundry hanger is awesome. This place give you that nice feeling of "living there" which I wish we could.
We took our chairs from the balcony and enjoyed the small outdoor grassy area on the ground floor with some wine and cheese. You can hear the ocean at night with the bedroom window open. It was quiet, relaxing and very enjoyable. We would stay here again and again.

Made to feel really welcome on arrival which was really nice
Lovely apartments with everything you need. Very comfortable, clean and the position is great. Walking distance to town and a few minutes to the water front, and 5 minutes walk to the marina.

Hi - none of the units are air conditioned, but this is New Zealand and although it gets warm it doesn't often get hot enough to need air-conditioning. In the 2 bed unit I stayed in there were 2 fans.
