Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Vicki runs a very comfortable and friendly B&B. The bed was very comfortable, and the quality of the building standards were very high. We ordered the continental breakfast, and it was great, particularly the brewed coffee and the warm croissants. It is a 20 minute walk to the city center, but a beautiful beachfront location. We would definitely stay with Vicki again.

Lovely hosts provided a room with a ground level view of the beach. Great common area for guests with a useful kitchenette. Continental breakfast provided with a lovely croissant, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Bed comfortable and room quiet. The room is cooled with a wall mounted fan (no A/C) and the bathroom was down a hallway about 6 or 7 metres away. The B&B is about a 10 minute walk from the shops. Off street car parking available. For what you get the tariff is excellent value. If I was in Whitianga I would happily stay there again.

The real highpoint here are Vicky and Steve's sense of humor. The B&B is very nice and very close to the shore. Town is close by with lots of restaurants. Both Vicky and Steve were nice to talk to and they have a delightful dog, Thor!

Best B&B we have ever stayed in. Vikki & Steve very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Our room was excellent. Big selection for breakfast. They even supplied free towels and spades for the hot water beach. Great pillows

Vicky is the hostess with the Mostess.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Her partner Ste runs trips out to sea in the Cave Cruzer Adventures.
We had some delicious fresh Scollops caught the same day.
A delightful B and B Clean and spotless.
I can recommend this B and B to everybody.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hosts were very welcoming. Room was clean and well designed. Everything was so shiny and clean and everything is "just on its place".
Breakfast was fresh and made with love, warm croissants, jam etc.
The feeling was as you came to visit your good friends and though we stayed for one night only we loved the place and wish to come back in this B&B in future.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in February 2017. We were warmly greeted by the owner and their lovely dog 'Honey'. We were comfortable, well treated and would recommend our stay to anyone. Will be staying again in the future :)

Beautiful spot and great accommodations. Picturesque view and walk into town. Vicky was very helpful. Could be noisy from traffic in high season but not a problem in May. Thanks to Vicky and Steve for a delicious breakfast too! Town is a pleasure to walk around and great restaurants to chose from.

Perfect spot for an overnight stop, wished we had been able to spend more time here as a base. Opposite a fabulous beach and interesting town. Steve and Vicky are so welcoming and everything you need is there. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Free parking, spotlessly clean, great value for money. Town is 1km flat walk alongside the sea.

Vicky is a great host. She supplies spades for the hot water beach and serves a good breakfast. She also gave a good tip on what to do the next day. A little out of town but therefore quiet and across the street is the beach
