We have one and two bedroom apartments and studio rooms.Refurbished June 2017 a Beachfront Studio Apartments 1, 2 and 3 have beautiful unobstructed sea views. Most other apartments have some sea views (unless stated otherwise) and our refurbishment programme has updated units 4, 5, 12 and 13 in June 2018 with tiled on-suites and all units have been re-painted.

Blue Marlin offers unobstructwd views across Mercury Bay whilst being within minutes of town bars and restaurants on foot.
Units are modern, spacious, and beautifully decorated with quality furniture and decor items. Our bed afforded the most comfortable sleep I have ever had anywhere, including home .... True.
Everything is squeaky clean and our hostess, Vivian, was extremely helpful in every regard. I would recommend Blue Marlin to only the most discerning of travellers.

This was right in the middle of our trip and we stayed 2 nights to recharge. The owner was very nice and the motel was spotless. The front rooms had beautiful views over the beach. Lovely outdoor areas to sit and relax. We stayed in the back rooms but could still hear the waves breaking on the beach and minimal traffic noise. Very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

It’s past peak tourist time and the annual game fishing comp had just concluded, so we figured it wouldn’t be too difficult to find a place to stay. After a cruise around town we decided on Blue Marlin and rang Viv, who had one room left. It’s in a magical location, right across the road from Mercury Bay and close enough to the bars and restaurants, without being noisy. It was great to have space to spread out, sort our washing and cook our own meals. Getting a bit tired of eating out, so a well-equipped kitchen was great. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room very quiet. Viv was delightful, and very happy to help out with advice on things to do and go around town.

Great accommodation, with everything you need to cook if your cooking. Rooms are tidy. Really easy to find. Great views of Buffalo Beach. The host is really nice as well that's always a bonus. Will book here again

It is handy to town and the small grocery store. Just across the beach so you can have lots of walking. Our room was good, it can be better but of course it's on the par on what you paid. She's a friendly host too, well versed with the touristy places.

It's a brilliant location opposite the beach, within easy walking distance to the wharf and restaurants. Unit 8 is up a short flight of external stairs, with a partial view of the beach, but also has access to a large deck at the front of the property. Perfect for admiring the uninterrupted view of the beach. Comfortable extra large (king) bed with quality pillows. The microwave and fridge were an adequate little kitchen in the spacious unit and it was nice to have daily cleaning. Only minor downside is that Unit 8 is right next door to a residential unit and the walls are very thin, so the sound travels. This felt a bit awkward when we were occasionally aware of conversations next door.
The bathroom is very good, with great shower pressure, generous fluffy towels, as well as spacious vanity and mirrored cabinet.
The manager, Vivian, was particularly helpful and we enjoyed our stay at the Blue Marlin.

We arrived before the check-in and the host greeted us and let us in our room (2nd floor studio).
The location was perfect - right near the beach and the central business street. We were able to walk to the Lost Spring. It had a great beach house feel. We were there during winter and it was chilly. The room only had a small plug-in space heater. Bathroom was also very tiny with shower only. There was no clothes closet. I would not want to stay more than two nights in the studio unless using it in combo with adjacent 1 bedroom.
The host was exceptionally accommodating.

Great location with views on to the beach. Easy walking distance to town (5mins). Free wifi with access from room. Good cooking facilities. Friendly host, happy to chat and offer advice. Ideal for families as plenty of room. Quiet room, very pleasant stay.

I am still at the apartment with a friend. We rented a two bedroom apartment facing the water and it was terrific. We had a washing machine in our unit although I do not believe most have one. I think there is a coin operated one for smaller units. Our unit slept 5 but there were just two of us. The unit was clean, great water temperature and pressure. Staff were fantastic.
Bev was so fantastic! We can’t say enough good things.
Location was fantastic. Within walking distance to the warf, the Lost Spring, grocery store, and many restaurants and shops.
Of course, the beach is directly across the street.
This was my friend’s second trip. I would recommend this as a great holiday apartment. We were in unit 9.
Also beds were comfortable. Cleaning is done daily. I’d recommend and feel it was great value for the money.
Our apartment faced the water but some do not.

We were situated in room 12, from the outside, it looks small and in need of some TLC to brighten up the outer appearance. Inside it is rather special, clean, modern, tidy with a big gorgeous bathroom. Our host was super lovely and friendly, we would most definitely stay again~ 10 mins walk to the town centre, great cafes.
