Bayview Valley Lodge is a very special place - a quiet & peaceful location with wonderful views overlooking the bay, beautiful gardens, a beautifully presented spacious suite with luxurious linen and lovely welcoming hosts whose attention to detail is evident everywhere. David helped us plan our days with very detailed maps and information on the best places to visit. Loved the evening drinks with our host and the breakfast (including delicious fresh fruit salad and homemade bread) was amazing! Highly recommend & hope to return one day.

From the time we arrived we felt very welcome. The owners, David and Dmitri are amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Offering us a glass of wine in the evening and a delicious breakfast in the morning including fresh fruit and yoghurt, freshly baked bread and scrumptious scrambled eggs, served in the most elegant and gracious manner
We were attending a family birthday party and their service even extended to driving us to and from the party.
The Kupe room was extremely well presented with extensive sea views. Everything was immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. Extra touches included Linden Leaves toiletries in the pristine bathroom, luxury bathrobes and slippers and most important, good ground coffee, a plunger and herbal teas to enjoy at anytime in the room.
I would highly recommend this special place . I will definitely come again.

We, a couple and a person, spent 4 unforgettable days at David & Dmitri in the Baywiev at 91 in Whitianga. It was already our second stay here after 5 years. We were still able to remember, how excited we were to be there for the first time. Doubtless it had to be again our home for visiting Coromandel. And it has been indeed! Just at arriving we were very warm welcomed by gorgeous hosts David & Dmitri. We stayed at the Premier Suite, The Kupe, which was perfectly spacious for us, very comfortable and stylish decorated. It is quiet, has a separate entrance and a confidential relaxing area outside with a magnificent lookout to the Mercury Bay. The full equipped kitchen was very practical when we wanted to prepare our dinner by ourselves. The bathroom is also very comfortable. Not forget to mention is also a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit salad and homemade bread, perfectly served by our hosts! And a "Wine-o'clock" with small talk every evening were always a nice finish of the magnificent day trips to many gorgeous places of the Coromandel peninsula. We really enjoyed our stay here and can highly recommend this beautiful accommodation! Dear David and Dmitri, thank you once more for making our visit of Coromandel to a real highlight of our NZ journey!

We stayed at the Bayview at 91 on our first night in New Zealand after the long trip from the USA. It was our first Boutique B&B experience and it was a great one. First about the Property - It is at the top of the hill overlooking the small city of Whitiangia and Mercury Bay. The views are outstanding. We were a group of 4 so we split with one couple in the Ensuite on the lower level and the other in the upper level room. The rooms are tastfully decorated and immaculate. We enjoyed the perfect weather on the deck, soaking in the view. Secondly, and more important, The Hosts. David and Dmitri are the consummate hosts, pleasant and attentive. They provided excellent tips for restaurants and shops based on our preferences. We joined them in the evening for drinks. We had a grand time and felt as if we were meeting long lost family. Finally, The Breakfast. The table was set as if royality was visiting. There was very fresh fruit and bread in addition to coffee, tea and eggs. Since our visit in early March the Covid-19 pandemic has come upon us all, hitting the hospitality industry harder than most. We send our best wishes to the guys and hope for a quick return to normal.

What a find. Nestled in the hills above Whitianga with amazing views is this gem of a boutique bed and breakfast accommodation. David, the owner was attentive without being intrusive to ensure our privacy.
Our room was thoughtfully designed with everything needed for our stay. Added touches of PJ'S dressing gown and slippers plus towels for the beach were great.
Our breakfast table beautifully laid looking out across the bay with the smell of homemade bread was a fantastic start to our day exploring.
We used the hot pool one evening which David had prepared with the added touch of some prepared fruit and water for us.
Nothing was too much trouble for David from setting up crockery/cutlery in our room so we could have a takeaway meal to doing some washing for us.
David had thought of everything to ensure the highest quality bed and breakfast experience.

Stayed here for two nights during Easter and the whole experience was superb. The Kupe suite was tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches around the suite including comfy guest pyjamas. The bed was super comfortable and the view in the morning on waking up, of Cooks bay/Mercury was incomparable, especially at sunrise! We were lucky enough to have clear night skies that weekend and had a spectacular view of the Milky Way from the hot tub.

David was a very knowledgeable host and was full of recommendations ranging from which beach to explore to which restaurant to visit for dinner. His attention to detail was evident not only in the rooms
but in the amazing breakfast table he laid out each morning. We loved it so much we booked another weekend straight away!

Thank you both so very much for the beautiful review of your stay and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and the comfort of our Kupe Suite and that you enjoyed the views and in particular the sunrises and the stars that came out to play during your stay. We pride ourselves on offering suites that have attention to detail and a place of comfort and privacy, the Hot Spa Pool has been placed to maximise our views and on a clear night to lay and enjoy the spectacular Milky Way in the night's sky is both romantic and inspiring. Our Breakfast table is the place where our day starts, therefore we love to ensure it looks beautiful for our guests daily. We very much look forward to seeing you both again on your next booked visit. Kind Regards David and Dmitri

Me and my partner went for a romantic getaway during the long weekend and we ended up feeling like king and queen.
David, our amazing host, made everything perfect from the way the room was set up, to the privacy and the amazing breakfast.
The location of the house is amazing and you feel like you are waking up in heaven with the sun rising just in the window at your feet.
David made us feel really welcomed and he was always making sure we were having an amazing time and he recommended us amazing hidden gems to see around.
When you want to use the hot tube, you can have the whole garden for yourself which we found amazing for a romantic getaway. David also set up water, glasses, ice and fresh slices of lemon for us to drink inside.
I can definitely say that it was the most perfect accommodation I’ve found so far in New Zealand and I’m looking forward to go again!

My wife and I decided to spend a couple of days on the Coromandel Peninsula and decided on Whitianga, choosing Bayview Valley Lodge. Our Tui Suite was surprisingly spacious with our own King Bedroom, Separate Lounge both with Valley and Sea Views along with Bathroom with Bath, Walk-in Shower, and Toilet, The views from the entire lodge were breathtakingly beautiful as were the well-planted gardens.

The Hot Spa Pool was a delight with full ocean views in the day and the stars at night during the evening, this was a wow moment for us.

Hosts David and Dmitri were delightful and attentive to our needs during our stay, a lovely continental breakfast was served and help with daily planning to see the best of the area.

Experiencing the unique hospitality and service by David and Dmitri in their splendid and beautiful Bayview 91 B&B with its great view overlooking the Whitianga Bay, is an experience one does not quickly forget.! David is a super and uniquely attentive host arranging whatever needs and can be arranged to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The pre-dinner drinks on the terrace or inside and the open discussions with the guests are highly entertaining and very much appreciated. The breakfast, in a table setting that almost reflects royalty treatment, makes the stay with David and Dmitri so unique and special. The best B&B we ever experienced.

We loved our two night stay at Bayview91!! They gracefully accommodated our late arrival and left a wonderful suggested itinerary for us the next day in the Whitianga region, which we closely followed. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Dimitri was a wonderful host, offering numerous options for breakfast with a stunning view and a cocktail when we arrived back after a great day. He had great advice on what areas to explore. He provided us with a spade for the hot spring beach, which was a fun experience we had to try. He set us up with a reservation at a great restaurant in town one night. The service was great and the home was lovely. We had an amazing experience!
