My boyfriend and I visited Oasis Hotel and Bungalows last year for one week, and chose this place specifically for the low price.

Similarly to other reviewers we found the food selection very repetitive and had as my boyfriend is a fairly picky eater we had to eat out in other restaurants 4 nights out of the week as there was only so much pasta I could watch him eat. However, I am not such a fussy eater and I think I couldve managed with what was available but still felt disappointed with what was available.

The town of Afandou was very quiet, although there was a bus stop right outside availble to take you to the nearest towns for less than €10 usually.

However, our biggest issue we came across whilst staying here was the all inclusive rule. My boyfriend and I chose this board as we felt it would allow us to not have to worry about spending money elsewhere for the week. However, we were extremely disappointed to find that no alcoholic drinks at all were included in the all inclusive basis. Before leaving for our holiday I had not been aware of this and we wish we were.

On the other hand, despite these slight issues we still managed to have a good trip and we loved the pool area and the staff we experienced couldn't have been more helpful. Although the rooms are basic, they were always clean and we felt well looked after during our stay.

Overall we think you do get what you pay for here, we would just maybe go self catering or half board if we were to return.🙂

As you walk in you feel instantly calmer. The grounds are beautifully. The decor is dated but that adds to the charm for me.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
The food is ok for what we paid.
The rooms were cleaned everyday as were the whole grounds.
The drinks were dire. We ended up buying at the supermarket and drinking on our terrace.
The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away.
Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Me and my cousin were here for a week this is a beautiful place the people like Annabell, George and Nick are amazing so helpful and kind.

It is set on a busy main road but u don’t hear it at all there is no entertainment or anything near by other than a supermarket which sells everything including good coffee and cake. The beach is about a 15/20 minute walk again not much on it It is very shingle and stony so take beach shoes with u. The sea is beautiful

The hotel is very clean and old fashioned typically Greek which gives it character but with one downfall the food. Unfortunately this lets this place down alot it’s very bland and there is not much to it for a week it was ok but tbh we for fed up with the cold and tasteless food. Take ur own coffee and tea as this was awful.

It does need some TLC and if the family owners put a bit more effort and money into it would be amazing. Saying that if u need a week or less beak just to chill by the pool then this is great I feel totally relaxed due to this place and the people I have mentioned.

A word or warning us and alot of other guests for bit by mosquitoes we used sprays roll ons and insect bands I think it helped but it was bad so just go prepared.

Me and my cousin said we would go back but for a few days due to the food we laughed as it would have been the first holiday we didn’t put on any weight lol. Don’t get me wrong the food that was there u could eat it was just very bland and the same thing every day which was a shame.

We also went to Rodos which is a must very cheap on the bus took half an hour

GOOD POINTS
Bar staff Nick and George, Very friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
Lovely grounds and setting, very cosy atmosphere around the place and felt like a little community as you get to know everyone.
Reasonable price but beware, see below

BAD POINTS
No management apparent, staff were left to carry out their duties totally unsupervised, which I think is the main problem here, no direction or desire to please, place is being run on a shoe string!
Right next to a motorway, so walking anywhere nearby is dangerous.
Food choice very very poor, worst we have had on all inclusive, ate out several times and did not bother to eat lunch there.
Limited snacks, 4pm to 5pm mainly mini cheese pastries most days, yuk!
No Air con in the main reception/bar area at all, in the evenings it was stifling in the main bar area.
Bungalow we stayed in was in a very bad state, bathroom dilapidated, toilet virtually unable to sit on as no space, seat broken, sink falling off the wall, cold tap on sink seized, no bracket to hold shower head above the 3 foot bath
No safe in the bungalow, only in communal reception area, so had to keep passports with us at all times.
Local beach, nothing there apart from one shed like cafe and toilets, no shade unless you hire sunbeds/parasols.

All in all, would not recommend due to above issues.

Myself and my family (group of 7) stayed at oasis for 10 nights. It’s a lovely hotel with very friendly staff!
The hotel is quite far out from the town but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and only costs €2.40 to Rhodes!
The rooms was very clean, cleaned every day with fresh towels. The bathrooms are quite outdated and the only point I would change is a taller holder for the shower head.

The hotel has a bus that runs to the beach free of charge which is very handy.
Would recommend this hotel, you get what you paid for but we all had the best holiday and will definitely come back!

My partner and I have just returned from a week staying here. We arrived in the evening to be told they had no record of our booking despite having all relevant information from EasyJet. It took almost two hours to rectify the issue which we were advised was caused by ‘their slow system’ despite booking the holiday a month in advance. Whilst the surroundings are beautiful, and very in keeping with the island, most other things were a disappointment. The rooms are basic and clean but very dated. The pool very small. The food was atrocious. Nothing was labelled, it was all tepid even when first brought out and very repetitive. We were expecting some traditional Greek cuisine but were met with cold pasta and chips for most of the week. Luckily the accommodation has two lovely restaurants either side, and being only a short bus ride to Rhodes we spent much of our time eating out. Even breakfast was terrible! The accommodation has good bus links and is close to the beach. But wouldn’t recommend this place for a family with young children as there really isn’t much to keep them entertained. Apart from the almost unbearable (on times) screeching of the crickets in the trees, the place is very authentic looking and is kept clean and tidy. The staff seemed friendly most of the time. However I would not stay here again and would not recommend.

Stayed here on our first ever EasyJet holiday. Everything ran smoothly, flights and pickup.
The hotel is set in lovely well kept grounds. Rooms are typical for this price point. Good sized room, good shower and spotless.
The best part was the free aircon, we've always paid in the past. Certainly needed it during the heatwave when temperatures hit 40C!
Not being a large hotel, the choice of food was smaller than we've had but it was all good.
The drinks were a bit watered down I think but if we'd been drinking regular strength in that heat I think we'd have passed out! I can confirm though, that the Ouzo is full strength!

This is a quiet hotel, suitable for couples and families, no late night partying here thank goodness.
All the staff are friendly and so hard working. Thanks in particular to Nikos and George, the best barstaff ever.

There's a bus stop right outside and one on the other side of the road for Rhodes Old Town and Lindos etc. We hired a scooter from Max Motors at Kolympia and can recomend them. They can pick you up and drop you back from their shop for 5€

Out and about, I'd really recommend Butterfly Valley if your there in July/August. Beautiful walk with the incredible sight of literally thousands of Butterlies. Also the Bee Museum, not the biggest but very well laid out and informative. Free tasting as well.

We had a great time at Oasis Hotel & Bungalows. Arrived much later in early hours and were met with a friendly helpful man at reception. Our bungalow, although dated, was clean with a comfy bed and free air con which during a heatwave was vital! Bathroom was old fashioned but everything worked, hot water whenever we needed. It was cleaned every day. The food was fine for the money we paid and perfectly edible, it was very repetitive but everything provided at meal times was good. The grounds here are gorgeous and pretty.. finally the staff .. they are brilliant! Friendly and hard working. Nikos and George were amazing, they love a bit of chat and banter and are always ready with your drink of choice .. also thanks to Anastasia, she works very hard throughout the hotel and when we we couldn’t get a taxi she drove 4 of us to a beachfront restaurant to save us a walk in the extreme heat. We made good friends here it is very much a relaxed and peaceful place, no nightlife but that suited us perfectly! We would return …

Just back from Oasis. Lovely setting with fruit trees, palm trees and old style Greek accommodation. We had 2 ground floor rooms which were seconds from the pool (and bar). Beautifully clean and air con. There was always something you could choose to eat at mealtimes, wine, cider, soft drinks on tap. Only criticism, could do with a better choice of desserts, especially Greek. No entertainment but that’s the draw, time to chat, play games and enjoy the chilled setting. Anastasia is an amazing host and goes above and beyond. Also shout outs to George behind the evening bar and Nic behind the pool bar. They work alone and kept up with the pace AND never failed to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Would certainly visit again. Thank you Oasis 😎

Lovely little hotel, yes the rooms are a bit outdated but we didnt spend much time in the room other than showering and sleeping so it didnt bother us too much. The reception staff are amazing and really cant do enough for you, (they even gave us a citronella diffuser after hearing me mention a bite on my leg.) The bar staff are amazing - Nikos always has something to talk about and George always has your drink ready before you reach the bar. The smell from all the flowers is gorgeous at night and they look beautiful. The bus stops are right outside the hotel so you can explore the island, reception has all the times for the buses so you dont have to stand around in the heat waiting. There are enough choices food wise and plenty of tavernas around if you want something different. The beach is a 10 min walk away with plenty of sunloungers and a little Kantina for snacks.
Overall we loved our 2 weeks at the Oasis Hotel.
