The head above the village of Saint-Emilion, one foot in the vineyards, our 5-star Relais & Châteaux reflects its territory classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Succulent and tasty delights await for you in our house Hôtel de Pavie, in the heart of Saint-Emilion, where you will discover the exceptional wines for which our region is famous. You will stroll on the raised terrace with a panoramic view over the roofs of the medieval village, enjoying an afternoon coffee or during your breakfast, while enjoying the elegant rooms and the gourmet restaurant, La Table de Pavie, with a cuisine signed by Yannick Alléno. The Perse Family became the hosts of this renowned House in 2001. In 2007, the hotel was extended and transformed with the acquisition of an old house with Roman tiles. This Village House is connected to the Main House by crossing and strolling around our pretty gardens and by taking a glass elevator carved into the rock. Chantal Perse and her daughter Angelique Da Costa have made the Hôtel de Pavie an exceptional place in the heart of Saint-Emilion, dedicated to the art of living, with unreserved energy in all its dimensions.

Stayed five nights in the Petrus Suite, which had a huge well tended private garden all to ourselves with killer views of the town below. The room was very large with a comfortable seating area as well as chaise lounges and table outside in the private garden. Bathroom had double sinks, large soaking tub and a separate shower. Bath products were very nice.
Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming every time we walked in the door. Sophie was a pleasure to deal with, always helping us with reservations, directions, suggestions, Breakfast was amazing, with fresh baked treats (not just a typical croissant) , squeezed juices and the creamiest scrambled eggs I've ever had.
Had drinks nightly on the large outdoor area which had views of the church next door and the whole town. Dined at the hotel's sister restaurant twice and was very happy with food and service.
We also splurged, and I do mean splurged, and experienced La Table de Pavie for a three hour banquet. The chef deserves the two Michelin stars he has received as every course was amazingly prepared and presented. The sommelier suggested wines for each course, which went along beautifully with the food.
The town itself became busy with visiting tourists during the day, but at night we had the town to ourselves. The hotel was truly a gem

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel de Pavie in March 2023. The location could not be better, right in the heart on Saint Emilion with walking access to the entire town, along with it’s many Michelin Star restaurants.

The staff were exceptional. Incredibly attentive, friendly and responsive and the hotel itself is very well maintained. It’s a unique contrast of old classic buildings, with a sleek modern interior.

They arranged a driver for our wine tour of the left bank who was friendly and knowledgeable.

We dined at their restaurant on the first night and it was exquisite.

There were a couple of small things that could have been improved:

The WiFi didn’t stretch to our room. We stayed a suite and while the WiFi worked in the living area, it cut off as soon as you went into the bedroom / bathroom.

We weren’t offered the original room we booked as there was a maintenance issue so it had no hot water. While we were given an “upgrade”, the new suite was bigger but had no views of Saint Emilion (the main reason we booked the initial room).

The room service menu was also very limited. The menu is tied to their double Michelin Star hotel restaurant (which is excellent) but it means all the room service food is incredibly high end / gourmet (with equivalent prices). On the two days the restaurant is closed, the only room service option is a charcuterie board. I’ve not stayed anywhere that didn’t allow you to order a simple sandwich on room service.

Overall it was a highly pleasant stay and I think you’d be hard pushed to find a better hotel in Bordeaux’s Right Bank.

Dear Chrisatiyah, We would like to thank you for sharing your experience following your stay at Hotel de Pavie. We are delighted that you enjoyed our service and the whole team joins me in thanking you for your lovely compliments. We are very sorry fo rthe WIFI conection that we improved in our big suites located in a house from the 12th century with thick walls. We were very sorry for the hot water issue and we were very pleased to upgrade you in one of our nice suites. We provide a room service menu with one soupe, charcuterie plate or cheese plate as well as desserts when the kitchen is closed as cookers are not present. Then we propose 2 hot dishes when the restaurant is open. We also propose our bistro located in front of the hotel when the gastronomic restaurant is closed to be able to offer our customers a solution to eat. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back to Saint-Emilion. Best regards, Mylène Gelin assistant manager

what an amazing hotel in the village of Saint Emilion. the hotel is beautiful and perfectly situated on a hill overlooking the rest of Saint Emilion. it is also right next to famous bell tower in the village. the best room in the hotel is definitely the petrus suite. the room is very large and has a view of the village below. the suite also has a huge private patio that overlooks the village. if you walk out the back door of the hotel you are conveniently located in the heart of Saint Emilion next to wine shops, restaurants and many boutique shops. the service was really great with a little bit of formal thrown in. they also have 2 incredible restaurants - a 2 Michelin starred one on site and a 2nd more casual one 200 yards away. the concierge and front desk were so helpful in helping with airport transportation, dining reservations, wine tours, electric bike rentals and just about anything you might need. my only complaint is that the electric bikes were not working well. probably because they left them in the rain uncovered during our entire stay. besides that one hiccup this hotel was one of the highlights of our tour of France. we will definitely be back again.

On our continued journey through France, we made a stop in St Emilion for 3 nights. Hotel de Pavie couldn't have been a better backdrop for this wonderful quaint village. The hotel sits underneath the shadows of a church that was built in the 1200s. It wasn't a particularly spacious room, but the view was great. If you are a light sleeper though, the church bells start at 7am. They are somewhat quiet during the 7:00 hour but really kick in at 8:00. You can hear them throughout the village, but the hotel is right next door. Our room was in the main building and overlooked the terrace that had the absolute best view of the city. The terrace was a wonderful place for afternoon cocktails before dinner. But be cautious, because if you have a room that overlooks the terrace, you can hear everything down there. The breakfast at the hotel was absolute hands down the best we had on our 16 day trip. Cassie our server was an absolute gem! She knew our names, knew how we took our coffee, what we liked and didn't like on the table, etc. The dinner that came with the hotel was an experience...it lasted 3.5 hours. They were some things we had to eat that were out there and wasn't really a fan. There are so many restaurants in St Emilion, that you can't lose going to another. There are so many tucked in alley ways and down at the bottom of the hill. You can't go wrong with one of those either. Would definitely come back to the area and stay at Hotel de Pavie.

The hotel is nestled in the heart of the beautiful town and is stunning. It is situated on the edge of an out crop so has amazing views across the vineyards. The spacious rooms are beautifully decorated and feel luxurious but welcoming. The staff are exceptional. From the moment I made the booking they were attentive to our needs and enquires. Without exception, They were friendly, polite and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome which was particularly special given everyone was operating under difficult Covid restraints. Thoroughly recommended

Stunning property with amazing views over the vines and old town. Beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms with lots of bathrooms products and tea/coffee facilities. Efficient and friendly staff especially the porter who valet parked the car in this extremely busy town. Cars are returned to the square by the hotel at night. Very nice touch. Dinner was very good with excellent service. We stayed 14 nights at a selection of Relais & Châteaux hotels and this was the finest breakfast served on the terrace. Great selection of breads, meat, cheese, eggs, fruits, pots of yogurts, rice pudding, chocolate cream etc etc.
Would not stay anywhere else if returning to this area.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel de Pavie for four nights in June 2024. Our room, the Petrus, was spacious with a sitting area and a terrace with a beautiful garden. I very much appreciate that Relais and Chateaux hotels always have well-maintained grounds, including wonderful sculptures, and this was no exception. The garden overlooked St. Emilion with gorgeous vistas in all directions. The location was in the center of St. Emilion, which allowed for easy access to the numerous wine merchants in the village, as well as travel to vineyards on the right and left banks. The hotel staff responded to our every request, including a "breakfast to go" when we had to depart very early to the airport. Our dinner at the Table de Pavie was fantastic! The decor of the restaurant is lovely and the food, divine. Service was excellent in every way. We were more than pleased with our stay at Hotel de Pavie.

We have spent an amazing night at the hotel Pavie un Saint Émilion. Nestef on top of the village the hotel has a 360 view on the village and surroundings, there is no other place that will make you feel you are in the center of the wine country. Servicr was absolutely perfect with the staff always going the extra mile to make sure all your needs are met. The room was beautiful and cozy and we were lucky enough to have a balcony with a view on the church tower. If you go there, take the time to visit the monolithic church right under the hotel, this is a sight you will never forget and you will be surprised by the size of this church. Of course take also the time to try the local goods but with moderation!

I will return to this hotel, we also had dinner at the restaurant Pavie which was also an amazing experience with again an amazing service with a staff very friendly but still extremely professional.

Planted to stay 2 days, but extended
to 4 days and enjoyed every minute of my stay.
St Emilion is on the World Heritage List. Hotel Pavie is the centre of this city.
Yes the hotel is charming and chic, central to everything,
Yes it has a 2 Michelin star restaurant
Yes the rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms
Yes all the amenities are in the room
Yes the beds are comfortable .
But what really makes this hotel so memorable is the incredible team
assembled here in every department .
No those not appear to be in anybody's vocubalrly. Receptionists,
Concierge, valet and breakfast staff
all are so very good at their job, that
you could only smile and hope to get a chance to come back.
A special shout out to the manager of the breakfast area on the terrace ( stunning views ) she was the ultimate
professional. Bravo.
Make sure you have the French Breakfast... the croissants and pastries are the best I ever had anywhere. Throw in an omelet and your day will start perfectly.
Don't bother looking anywhere else
in the area. This is the place.
If you can prearrange a visit to a stunning winery Chateau Pavie, take the hotel Bentley and book a private visit . It's €300 but truly worth every euro of it. Yes same owners as the hotel. They also own a wonderful casual bistro a few feet from the hotel.
If I could give the people working there more then 5 stars ... they would
deserve it.

A luxury stay in the heart of Saint Emilion. Hotel Pavie was an amazing hotel & had everything we needed & more. The rooms are spacious & beautiful. The hotel has an excellent breakfast available, Michelin star restaurant & other restaurants a short walk away in town. Their bistro in town was amazing. The reception staff were extremely helpful & were able to recommend & book restaurants for us each night. Kate was a delight serving us each morning for breakfast & very helpful with any questions or recommendations for the area!

Our friends stayed in the Annex and their suite was very nice, but they didn’t have a view. One walked through attractive gardens and down an elevator to get there. We preferred our room, although we didn’t have a suite.
