Nothing special, but the room was clean. good sized rooms. The motel probably comes from a time when NY Rt 417 was the main road west before NY 17(now I-86) was built in the mid 1960s. Up until maybe 5-8 years ago, this was known as Cook's Motel. Decent price.

Not much to look at, but big room, clean, and cheap. Wireless available. 2 mi. away from town for anything, but easy in and out. Not many choices around Wellsville. Check in at 1PM is convenient, but checking in late is a pain cuz you gotta wake up family. No record of my on-line reservation. Don't accept AmEx.

Face it. There is only one angle you can take when reviewing a place like this: Price. And this is about the lowest you will find for accommodations near the Main street of Wellsville. It might be a little off putting at first with its brightly lit sign with red lettering and the starkness of the immediate area (creepy swedish factory, a residential lot) combined with a deteriorating parking lot but it's a safe place. Got a kingsize bed, a tiny 90s tv set tucked into a top corner of the room, no coffee maker or clock but it did come with a micro and fridge, stained chairs and an extremely uneven floor that isn't as bad as it seems. Functional bathroom and one window looking out the back and that is far preferable to looking out the front...trust me.

It was very clean, bright large rooms, very friendly staff. Our family of 3 stayed for 3 nights. We had the 'family' room. It was spacious with a great open space for our 4.5 year old to play. I suspect this would work for a larger family as well - 2 double beds with pull-out couch, which we didn't use.Large sized fridge (not kitchen size, but the larger of the small fridges) and fabulous microwave. No coffee pot - they were clear about this both on-line and over the phone - so I came prepared with an electric water heater and cup filter. Close to town (with a town this size, everything is), safe, quiet, friendly. We'd stay again if we were back this way.
This is an inexpensive place and you get what you pay for. Don't expect what you might find at the Hilton or such, this is what it is, and it is great for what it is.

I stayed with three of my children in the room with two beds and fold out couch. I didn't mind the old decor (the picture makes the room like nicer than it is), but the room smelled like animals or mold. I couldn't tell what the smell was, but I woke up wheezing from an asthma flair up. If you have respiratory issues, you should probably skip this place. My fault for going for the cheap place, next time I will stay at one of the chain motels.

Found clean and spacious rooms and more worth of what we have paid for. I will recommend friends to take advantage of this motel. I was surprised with price was less than the other motel and better services.

OK. So you have to admit that staying at a hotel called Budget Hotel, you are not expecting the same level of accommodations as say a Holiday Inn. BOY WAS I SURPRISED!
Just came home from a 3 night stay in Wellsville NY. After being GREAT.Y DISAPPOINTED after being taken advantage of at the local Microtel, I had to find another place to stay. So I tried the BUDGET INN on Andover Road. I have to say the room was HUGE, at least triple the size of the room at the Microtel. The water in the bath was extremely hot, and I did not have to ask for towels (as I did at the Microtel).
The room had 2 beds, plus a table with 2 chairs, which I did NOT have at the Microtel. There was off street parking, and the area is super quiet - problem sleeping.
Neither motel offers a gym, laundry,pool, picnic area,etc., so there is absolutely NO reason to stay at the Microtel.
Microtel needs to take a lesson from the Budget Hotel. At less than one third the price, the Budget Hotel is a clean, friendly choice in the area.

This is my third time staying at this motel and it gets worse every time. The floors are uneven and the toilet seemed to be only a few inches off the floor. Okay if your really short but not in my case. Parking lot appears to have so many holes it looks as if the AirForse could use it for a bombing run. This was my third visit and my last! Price is about 35dollars overpriced. I wouldn't stay there again for free. A bulldozer could do it a big favor.

Worst place that I have ever stayed. Very dirty. Smelled so bad that we had to go to local store to get disinfectant spray. We ended up sleeping ontop of bed spread because we was afraid to crwal under the covers. Felt just as dirty in the morning as we did before we took a shower the night before. My wife and I honestly thought of sleeping in the truck. Place is disgusting.
