Detailed Reviews
We spent two nights here and found it just perfect for a getaway. The location is close enough to the nearby village of Walden to have access to lots of restaurants and a grocery store but enough out of town to feel isolated in a good way. Plenty of hiking and wineries in the area. The room (Vineyard Room) was comfortable and cozy, with a very convenient table for enjoying take-out (a safer option than dining in due to COVID). The hot breakfast was made to order, very tasty and filling. Carrie (apologize if I have the spelling wrong) was just so gracious and welcoming both mornings, fixing up everything the way we liked it. We felt instantly at home and well cared for.

We stayed above the gift shop for 3 nights. It was so quiet, comfortable and very private. Convenient location for getting to DIA Beacon, Storm King and other sites Restaurants in the town were uncrowded on the weekend and very reasonable. The owner was friendly and accommodating.

I stayed here with my companion for sort of a three day weekend in June (after a very wet Memorial Day weekend!). I had a sense of what to expect from looking at pictures, but of course some of the magic of any place (or at least, the mystery) goes away once you arrive. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly greeted with the news that our expected reservation had been upgraded with access to a larger suite, which turned out to be very comfortable. The room was spacious for two people, and the bathroom (which includes a jacuzzi tub), exceeded my expectations. The bed was comfortable enough. As for the breakfast half, it was very refreshing to have such personal service in a time when it is on the decline (though often, through no fault of anyone in particular, just the safety protocols imposed by Covid pandemic). You actually get to sit down to a meal in the hotel gift shop, which is located in an adjacent building. While the main house did feel that it was getting some repairs, the apparent work did not affect the comfort of the room. The main entrance was a little tricky because it is not actually on Berea Road. Lots of property here with lots of potential. I believe it will serve many more guests in the years to come.
Excellent place to stay if you'd like to visit Angry Orchard headquarters or pretty much any of the many mid-Hudson Valley recreational sites, including FDR's Hyde Park estate, Olana (Frederick Edwin Church's homestead), or Washington's Headquarters Museum in Newburgh.

+1
We stayed here as we were vending at an in event in nearby Wappingers Falls. The room we were in was the Pumpkin Patch room. It was spacious, we had a small refrigerator at our disposal a large restroom with a lovely shower and a nice wide counter and sink. There is also an adorable breakfast nook & tea & coffee options in the room. David our host couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating, right next-door to the end is the shop where you are served breakfast which David makes and it is absolutely awesome. If you love knickknacks the store is adorable and full of them and just overall a great experience especially when traveling for some thing as taxing even if it is fun as being a vendor. Can only imagine coming back here at some point to recharge your batteries because it really was a great experience in a beautiful setting.

This was an unpleasant and expensive stay and I recommend against it. If all you want is an over-priced bed, it is fine; if you want charm or good foot, it is not as advertised. There is nothing classic about the room I was given: it is more 2020 Walmart than 18th century farmhouse. I was served a cold quiche with soggy crust and a slice of cheap bread for breakfast. There is not even an herbal tea option. My trip was a get away with my son as I live in Oregon and he in New York and rarely see him but he left a day early as he found the place rather depressing. I didn't even bother with the bad breakfast for the second day. If you want character and charm, go elsewhere. If you just want a place to sleep, get a hotel.

David is a great host. He’s friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, clean, and the temperature was perfect. It’s obvious David knows how to care for guests and we felt super comfortable and welcome.

Absolutely amazing -- So many charming details, from the themed decorations to the different flavored Keurig pods in our room. The room was big and even cozier and cuter than the picture. Host was gracious and warm, and breakfast was delicious. Seriously some of the most impressively presented French toast I've ever had. I would definitely go back.

Great experience for our stay. On arrival, our host could not have been more welcoming. The suite was well designed and all looked new. Breakfast provided a full range of choices in the spacious and charming gift shop. We would definitely recommend the Tin Brook to anyone wishing to enjoy this attractive region of New York.

I booked this BnB for a couple's weekend trip and we already know we will be back in the spring. Breakfast is simple and enough food, the room was clean. We had a small issue with the window, but David was more than helpful resolving the issue and overall a welcoming and accommodating host. It's close enough to downtown Walden for food, to Angry Orchard and drivable to Mohonk and Beacon.

This little 10 unit B & B worked perfectly for us. It was cozy, clean and offered very comfortable bedding and surroundings. Dave, the owner greeted us took our suitcase upstairs and couldn't do enough for us. It was a story book setting with breakfast in a n interesting gift shop. Glad we stayed. If we are in the area again we would certainly look to book again.
