Detailed Reviews
Our recent stay here was excellent. Four of us reserved a room with two queen beds. The room was very clean. The standard stock (bath towels and in-room coffee) was set for two people. The front desk staff were very helpful in providing us additional towels and coffee. The indoor pool was smaller (4-5 foot depth) but very refreshing after a car drive. A free breakfast is included and was excellent. Coffee, juices, a variety of hot and cold selections, omelet maker, and plenty of seating made this a treat. The entire site was very clean and much appreciated. The front desk staff were always pleasant and helpful. The price may be on the higher end ($179/night), but when you factor in a substantial free breakfast, indoor pool, and very clean setting, I had no problem paying it. Also, a number of great places for lunch and dinner close by.

This was one of the worst nights at a hotel ever. There must have been some kind of party of something going on because I got no rest whatsoever. We were only staying overnight for a wedding and the next day I could barely stay awake because of the bad night at this hotel. On top of that, we were double-charged for a room that was already paid for by the bride's family. We are still waiting for our refund. Terrible experience.

Thomas was very nice, We asked about a few places we could eat and have a cocktail after a long dive. Thomas came through with his recommendation, It was spot on. Good food and a nice cocktail.
The room was clean and quiet. We dd not walk around the hotel as there was no point. the breakfast bag was waiting for us as we left.
We will come back here, next time we are in the area.

From the parking lot to the bed this Fairfield Inn &Suites is the best I’ve ever stayed at. Diann was at the front seat and was very attentive to getting us our room with a great smile and sweet spirit she was top notch. I had a small cooler bag for my medication that she tagged with my name and put it in their freezer and then told me she would email the next she to make them aware it was their for the morning when we were leaving. Really paid personal attention to meeting all our needs. The room was very clean and attractive. Love the bathroom shower and counters. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. Eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, muffins and fresh fruit. The woman tending breakfast , I think her name was Lilly was very kind and again went out of her way to see that everyone in that dining area had everything they needed and had a great spirit. I really liked the energy of this property. The man who checked us out had that same kind energy when he got my bag from the freezer and brought it to me. Lucky owner to have this crew on their property. ♥️ They made our stay Great.

My first stay here was perfect! Great room, immaculately clean, quiet location, several restaurants near by. A great stay to me is privacy and quiet, comfortable room, heat and air that really works. This room had it all. I will be back!

First off , housekeeping is lousy, garbage cans all overflowing , carpets not vacuumed , I mean come on. the sheets on my bed were put on sideways , yes sideways so that they were obviously too short to cover bed, how does the inspectress not notice this wtf, a monkey could make the bed better. Really had no interest in my room preference , appears they did shovel sidewalks though which is a +
rooms are ok , beda are a little worn, but not too bad

I stayed at the Utica, ny Fairfield inn by Marriott last night . I called down to the front desk at 530 am and asked what all the noise was that I heard. He said it is morning that is why. I said I heard noises all night he said your trying to tell me that you heard noises at 2 or 3 and I said yes he said that’s not possible. He never once asked me if he could move me or how he could help. He lacked empathy and did not care. Just to quickly get me off the phone he said call back and complain to my managers and he gave me their names. I said your being rude he said well this call is being recorded. Good please I hope management goes back to listen to this call. He would not help me at all. Then he said maybe man agent will give you a discount. I never asked for a discount but if me know it all would of given me a chance to speak I was going to ask to be moved and for a later checkout but instead I’ve been up for an hour trying to find every number for corporate and anywhere I can write a review to warn people. Enough is going on in the world. I even told him I had PTSD he could careless. This person has no place in customer service. I would never stay here again or at any Marriott for that matter

We've stayed at this property several times over the years while visiting family in Utica. It is very conveniently located, right off of the thruway. While other Marriott properties are bringing back housekeeping (or at least every other day) it seems this property is not. We stayed 4 days and had no housekeeping, and did not see any staff in hallways. The room was clean upon check-in but could use a good deep clean - behind the beds, etc. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Train noise can be loud at times... but was not too bothersome.

Don't expect a positive morning front desk experience. The manager fails to wear a mask, or wears it half way down her face? I guess Marriott's "must wear a face mask" policy only pertains to the guests? The hotel handyman also must not have gotten the face mask memo either. I realize masks can be a pain, but, doesn't that come with the hotel job?
The morning customer service is clearly lacking, perhaps the worst I've experienced in years. Argumentative and incompetent is not a trait to exhibit from a person in charge who deals with the public or as an example for the young staff. A poor Marriott hotel representative at least on this day.
I stay at Marriott properties all across the country, and most are always terrific, which makes this hotel so disappointing.

The ambiance here was always inviting and comfortable. I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service at the front desk. The staff was amazing and beyond that just so friendly! The breakfast was very reliable and I enjoyed the coffee, feeling absolutely no need to walk to the Starbucks across the parking lot (which was one of the reasons we booked a room here). What a pleasant surprise. Our room was clean and comfortable. The exercise room and pool were well maintained. Another bonus, several great nearby restaurants in walking distance. We would definitely choose Fairfield on a return visit to Utica area.
