We found the staff to be friendly, professional and accommodating at every turn. They handled a loud late-night post-holiday party gathering in another guest room promptly and efficiently.
The lobby was nice, there seemed to be plenty of free parking (early December visit) and the location was handy to the lovely downtown area.
We are Platinum Elite rewards members and we’ve been to many Marriott hotels. Not all Courtyards (or regular Marriotts) are the same, so I like to read reviews. So just fyi if these things will bother you:
The beds were quite hard, which was disappointing as we usually love Marriott beds. Pillows were great, as expected.
All lighting in the bedroom was extremely cool white, which is not relaxing and not the norm in any Marriott I’ve ever visited.
The finishes in the room/bathroom were a bit worn (doors, some tile/grout, ceiling, etc.) but overall it was clean. The shower was exceptional, with a large rain shower plus great wall jets. There was also an adjustable handheld shower which was not used due to what appeared to be excessive lime scale build-up. That needs to be replaced immediately. Our requested 2 queen room was upgraded and this room was located on a floor of suites, so that’s not likely a standard shower. For those wall jets, I might actually sleep on that hard bed on my next visit to Saratoga Springs.
I’m only giving it 3 stars because I’ve been to lots nicer Courtyards, but it’s not a bad value for the money in the area.

We very much enjoyed our 1-night stay. All coronavirus protocols were in effect, and everyone was wearing a mask. The room was exceptionally clean, as well as very spacious - 2 large extremely comfortable queen beds, a desk with a large pull out table, and a seating area with a comfortable sofa and ottoman. We had problems with the TV and phone when we first got to the room, but it was resolved quickly and very professionally. All staff interactions were very pleasant and professional. The coffee maker did not work, but they did provide free coffee at the desk. While we were only there overnight and didn't really didn't explore the area, the hotel seems to be in a great location, close to downtown, Skidmore College, and easy access to I-87. Would definitely stay there again if ever in the area.

Check in was quick and easy. Our room was spacious and clean. The carpet looked new. We requested 2 extra pillows which were delivered quickly. The bathroom was clean and had shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, makeup removal wipes, hand sanitizing wipes and q tips. Very happy with our stay

Room rate was over $200 and room wasn’t serviced because of “limited housekeeping”.
Room is nice and hotel is nice. I had limited exposure to staff because of mobile check in and out. But c’mon… pay $204 a night and they can’t spend 20 minutes to make the bed. Not happy.

Stayed for one night with my sister and 2 nephews since she has Marriott points she likes to utilize. She lives locally, however I was visiting from Out of town. Where do I begin? Hotel is in a weird area in Saratoga, a little walk from Broadway. Not super convenient,especially in winter temps. The hotel itself is very disappointing. Our first front desk person was going through the motions at best checking us in. I mean I would be depressed if I worked here too. Fireplace out of order in badly outdated lobby. No bar or restaurant open while we were there. Considering that it’s a jaunt to go someplace else, super disappointing. The room. Ok, accept shampoo and conditioner Empty in shower, so like no toiletries basically. The pool and hot tub area. Just sad. Pool was out of order second day,y nephew saw something floating in hot tub. Gross. “Gym”was a joke as well.
Finally no coffee in lobby in the am? Like come on, I have to pay $4 for coffee and $12 for an inedible breakfast sandwich. I mean I know it’s upstate NY in winter but can’t imagine track people paying top dollar during track season for this subpar experience. Will not return

I am not one to complain about hotels, I am not a posh person where everything needs to be spotless and I understand human being are doing jobs. But i have to say that in the case of our in this hotel, the maid had clearly be slacking off and not doing there job correctly. The mirror was still very dirty, lots of black hair everywhere and my friend and I do not have that hair colour. There was pee on the toilet that had not been cleaned and MOUSE poop on the bed. We went to the front desk and right away asked for another room. The clerk was completely understanding and changes us right away. She apologised and send that she was simply the night clerk and couldn't do much but that we could speak to the manager in the morning. And so we did, she was very understanding and saying that they had a new crew and definitely would see what could be done. Even said they would send a manager of the cleaning crew to clean. They discounted our room for that night. I felt very heard by the manager and she was nice and seemed to want to continue to make our stay a positive one.
That being said it was one of my not so pleasant stay at a hotel because of that experience. My friend was very uneasy sleeping that night and i don't blame her at all.

This is the very first review I’v EVER written. There are SO many great hotels in Saratoga Springs and I’ve stayed in most of them. Suffice it to say, stay away from this hotel. You’ll thank me for it. Even if you pay a little more at another hotel. The staff is rude and the rooms have been renovated with cheap uncomfortable furniture, it is also understaffed so if you have an issue with your TV, the air conditioning or heating, or need an extra blanket, there is no night staff to help. There is no price that is worth staying at this hotel.

The room was fine. The hotel lobby is dated and in need of a refresh. Hotel indoor pools are never great, but the one in this hotel is a glorified bathtub. The workout facility had 3 treadmill type machines and absolutely no room to do anything else. Lastly, there is no complimentary continental breakfast or coffee!! I can’t remember the last time I needed to pay for a breakfast bagel and coffee in a hotel. We normally opt for Hyatt, but stayed here out of convenience….a mistake we won’t repeat.

We were booked for one night only. Good thing! We received an upgrade to a one bedroom at checkin. We dropped our bags and went out for the evening. Location is very convenient. The staff is very helpful. All good.
However, when we returned to the room later that night we discovered the room is very much in need of updating. The rug is worn, stained and torn. The couch and chair were in need of replacement or at least a good cleaning. We only sat on it after placing the spare sheet over it. Worst and really unacceptable was the black mold on the tub/floor caulk.
We have been loyal Marriott people for 25 years. This is the latest of several Marriotts in the last few years where we have experienced a deterioration of “Marriott standards”.
No wonder the Saratoga Courtyard is only rated 22nd of the local hotels.

Very disappointed in this Courtyard. The check in process was good but the entire lobby is very dated. Our room smelled very musty and everything felt like it was wet. I spoke with the front desk and the girl was very nice and moved our room across the hall. Unfortunately this room smelled musty also. The wall unit AC was so loud and really outdated. The carpet was dirty and bed very hard. Overall I felt grossed out the entire time we stayed there. It is overdue for a renovation.

Yes, just ask at the front desk and they will help you. It is very close to downtown, so if it's not too cold the walk is very reasonable.
