We've stayed at the Econo lodge twice for Hockey regionals in nearby Albany. The rooms are large and clean. There is a 'fridge' in every room. The management goes to great pains to make sure that your stay is pleasurable. There is an outdoor pool on site but as it is too cold for swimming in april, we haven't tried it. It is a very easy drive from the hotel to downtown Albany. For the price, you will not find a better place.

Booked a king whirlpool room for two nights. Upon arrival we had to wait several minutes as the owner came from the living area, I assume. Our room was in a back building with an exterior door open to all. Our room smelled like smoke even though it was a nonsmoking room. The room was mostly clean, but the bath room floor could have been swept better. The whirlpool was large and comfortable for two, but there was a window to outside above the tub, weird. The jets were satisfying but we are used to better. The bed was comfortable. We would say again, but they could do somethings better.

Hey, it's an Econolodge! Lady on duty when we arrived in the evening was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic and there is not much around the area (Yips Chinese restaurant -- okay and Burger King), but very easy drive into downtown Albany and to the Albany/Rensselaer Amtrak station. Hotel is frequented by a lot of construction service workers. Walls and floors are thin, so bring earplugs as these guys can be early risers and heavy on their feet!

Upon our arrival, we were shocked to find the room in an incredibly unsanitary state including, but not limited to, pillows that had a yellow tint to them, blood stains on the floor and on the lamp shades, curtains that could not shut, and an overall appearance to the room I'd describe as grossly uncleaned. Stained floors, moldy walls, and rotting wood. Everything in the room was wet.

This situation was absolutely nothing like the pictures we had seen before our departure on the booking website. This is a false advertisement and due to our arrival time from Boston, we were trapped in this room. Last minute alternatives were not possible and they would not give us a refund.

Don't sleep here unless you love diseases.

The upstairs neighbors stomped a lot too, but I don't expect a refund for that. I expect a refund for dealing with incompetent cleaning staff sticking us the in the STD Deluxe Suite.

I have been coming here for many years and I love the place. It has been updated throughout the years and its kept up well. The people at the front desk are always so nice to me and feels nice to always stay with them. I plan to keep on coming back. Thank you for the great service.

Came to town going to Atlanta. Best commidations and the staff was very good to me and helped me get to the Amtrak Trains Station to get there on time even during a snow storm. I will be back in the area next week and will stay again.

I would never have looked up this place on my own. However, it came up during my Airbnb search. It is true to the description. The price is affordable even for a student, the room is well furnished, clean, and cozy, and it is located in a safe environment. I could not have asked for more. Some of the reviews here say that the place is falling apart, but these may have been old reviews. This place is as good as new, and I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. The host Darsan is amazing. He was friendly and efficiently responded to all my needs. I would come back! They also have rooms with kitchenettes if you like to cook. Great place overall!

This was not a choice so much as I-had-no-choice: lost, raining, been on the road too long. I was told at check in that they would hold a large deposit on my card, so be aware of that. The room was gigantic, with 3 queen beds and a sofa, but no microwave, just a mini fridge. No expensive, but the linens were worn to a nub and stained from long use. The bathroom was very clean. The plus for me was that all the staff were amazingly kind and helpful. There was a lot of noise (cars, showering, etc) all night but another resident told me people live there long term and work multiple jobs.

Outside was very clean seems they did some work and took care of the place actually. Price point was good for me when I'm on a budget that needs to be affordable. I don't have any complaints it meet my standards and would probably come back if I'm ever back on this side of town.

There was no problem when we were there (Sep 2017) but the accommodation is very spread out and they may have bugs in some rooms but not in others.
