I really liked this hotel. The location was perfect for a college visit, it’s close to a few restaurants and grocery stores, and it’s a newer hotel.
Unfortunately, I had no choice but to rate it as just average. When they checked us in, they gave us a handicapped accessible room. I’m not sure why—the hotel wasn’t sold out, and clearly we did not request, or need an accessible room. The shower was difficult, at best. It consisted of a hand held shower head that didn’t work. I wanted to call the front desk and make a complaint, but it was late and I was standing in a shower that didn’t operate properly. My other complaint is the noise. Someone was slamming doors, stomping hard and just being plain loud and insensitive towards other guests.
The front desk clerks were pleasant and gave us toothpaste samples because we forgot some personal items, and the Bistro looked like it had decent/inexpensive food, but it wasn’t open.
The location is also a little odd, but it seemed all the hotels on this street were the same. They did farther back, behind the restaurants and you really have to pay attention to where you need to turn.

I would probably stay here again, but I would recommend checking to make sure you have a working shower, and apparently I would make it clear you’re not in need of a handicapped accessible room, because it seems they must put guests in one unless requested otherwise.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Your experience is below our standard. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. Had you called us, we would have been more than happy to assist you, given the opportunity. There is someone on property 24/7 for this very reason. ADA rooms are treated like any other, as we are unable to discriminate. Those rooms are typically used last in case there is someone in need, however, if there are no requests, they are used the same as any other room in inventory. Additionally, depending on how you booked, some third party booking sites will default to an ADA room request whether you had asked for it or not. Our Bistro is open 7 days a week for breakfast and dinner services. Monday through Friday breakfast is offered from 6:30AM to 10AM and on the weekends, 7AM-10:30AM. Evening services are available from 5pm-10pm daily. In your comments, you also mentioned that your stay was interrupted by a loud disturbance caused by other guests. My hope is that all our guests experience a relaxing and peaceful stay, and I am very sorry that this wasn’t your experience. Again, if you have any issues please make us aware, as unless notified, we wont know there is an issue at hand. What is an issue for some is a non-issue for others, please let us know you preferences. I have shared your feedback with the leadership team to ensure the necessary guidelines are in place and reviewed to prevent this from occurring in the future. I hope you choose to stay with us again when your travels bring you back to the area.

We accompanied our daughter for Parents Week at Oneonta SUNY and booked the Marriott because the other hotels were already filled. The grounds and building are all well-maintained and staff is readily available. (Shout out to Scott, who answered a lot of my questions before we arrived there.) The reason I didn't give this 5 stars (and was actually considering 3) was because of the higher price we had to pay and also that there was no breakfast included. Other than that, it was fine.

On behalf of the entire hotel team, I want to thank you for sharing about your recent experience. It is always encouraging to hear positive feedback, particularly when it comes from those who matter the most – you! Your feedback has been shared with the property leadership department as a way of celebrating the great guest experiences we delivered. Due to the high volume of guests in the area rates increase, and as the demand continues to increase so do the rates. I hope this does not burden our opportunity to receive you in our property. As we are a Courtyard by Marriott, it is not within the brand standards of the Courtyard franchise to offer breakfast as the food is made fresh to order and we offer premium Starbucks coffee. Marriott properties that offer complimentary breakfast within their brand standards include the Residence Inn, SpringHill Suites, Fairfield, and TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Once again, I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you again soon.

Wonderful staff and very welcoming. Nicely appointed rooms and very clean. Bistro area and market area. Pool and workout facility. Room was nice and very comfortable. Located near restaurants and stores but above and behind them so traffic noise was not noticeable. Highly recommend!

Overall the staff, hotel and room are great. Tub and room decor are nice.

Suggestions:
Room door hydraulics still slam doors shut which is completely audible in my room. Having to pay for breakfast is a first for me in all my travels this year.
When I tried to use my amazon firestick to watch my apps on the TV, the TV volume was uncontrollably loud.
There was no hair dryer in my room.
Coffee table scratches could easily be fixed with the dollar store furniture touch up marker set as maids clean the rooms.
Feather pillows were so soft/flat I had to use my own.
Ceramic coffee mugs would be nice (another dollar store purchase).
Tissue box cover would also be nice since mine was ripped.
Walls could be better insulated, I could hear my neighbor talking, singing, yawning, laughing and his TV.

First time staying in this hotel. Upon check-in the girl at the desk asked for my ID and then gave me my room key and told me my room was down the hall. Never asked if I was a guest before, no details about the amenities, nothing about the WIFI, no info on the Bistro and options for food. Nothing here's your key, that's it. Room was cleaned but had a distinct perfume scent. Smelled nice but guests with allergies might find overwhelming. Walls are super thin. I listened to the people above me walk on their heels to midnight, then get up at 5:12am and dance some more. Although my room was facing the back of the hotel I could hear all the cars warming up through the walls in the early morning. Through the night I heard a loud noise from the bathroom like a steam engine starting. It was either when the people upstairs used their water, or the toilet had a slow leak and the tank refilled. Either way more unnecessary noise. Beds were super firm and not too comfy but the pillows soft. Rooms were exceptionally clean as was the common areas. Upon leaving I was going to share my thoughts upon check-out but the only words the gentleman said to me was do I want a paper or email receipt No good morning, no how was your stay, nothing. More interested in speaking to his coworker. Friendliness lacking greatly.

Booked two rooms. The first room, upon entering, had hair in the tub and an empty lotion bottle on the bathroom counter. They cleaned the room the next day. When we ordered breakfast the next day the man behind the counter missed my 80 year old Mothers coffee. I went up to ask for it. He proceeded to argue with me that she didn't order it, unbelievable! He finally charged me for the coffee and I went to my seat thinking he would bring it to the table, but no, he left it sitting on the counter. I went to the check-in staff at the counter to inform them of how rude this employee was and they told me to put all meals on one room and we would be compensated for them and for sure, they would speak to the employee. The next morning he did the same thing to my Mother, however, he didn't argue with me or charge me this time, so I appreciate that someone spoke to him. Upon checking out and paying for both rooms the breakfasts were on my bill. I am still waiting for the charges to be credited back.

Normally we don't have any issues at Marriot. We stayed at two other Marriott's in Philadelphia with no issues but I would never stay here again, there are plenty of other options.

We started a week in mid-June as we were in town for All Star Village tournament week. The staff were very patient and accommodating with our family. We requested adjoining rooms and a few other customizations and they came through! We had a team dinner in the conference room and this worked great. Special shout-out to Danielle at the front desk - she was always so helpful and friendly. Housekeeping also did a phenomenal job with linens and cleaning.

Pros: nice outdoor area with fire pit. Friendly hotel staff. Nice property in general, very nice common areas. 4th floor was quiet.
Cons: bit on the pricy side, but I guess it’s to be expected when a baseball tournament is in town. No free continental breakfast. Toilet seats in the bathroom were very low (as per the other comment) and could’ve used a grab bar.. they box the toilet area into a corner of the room and partition off the area with a 5ft wall for privacy. It was just annoying to go downstairs every time I needed to use the bathroom. I understand it’s a design choice and putting in a grab bar may not be feasible because it is a bit small but just be aware of it if you’re booking a room.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night in July. It was a short stay as my husband was going to race track for one day. The room was very clean and even tho I’m para kid because of COVID, I felt safe there. When I called to reserve this hotel I was told that there shouldn’t be a problem with a late (1:30pm) check out. I needed to check out late because I had to work until 1PM; however, when I checked with the front desk in the morning I was told late check out was only for members. I explained that I had asked before reserving because I needed to do work, the front desk said sorry but finally agreed I could leave at 1pm. When I got back to my room the front desk called to tell me they will accommodate and that I could leave at 1:30pm. The front desk person was apologetic and said just take your time. I really appreciated the effort he made to ensure my late check out was ok. I ended up leaving around 1:25 but I’m thankful they were accommodating as I’m not a Marriot member.

Very unfair business dealing. Charged an extra night for leaving a day early. DESPITE me calling before we checked in, AND speaking to the lobby desk who said its fine if you leave early with no mention of getting charged, yet then they charge you for it.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience while staying with us. Your experience is below our standard. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and I sincerely apologize for failing to meet your expectations. In the summer months we do have a one night penalty for shortening your stay after check-in. This policy is listed on reservations email confirmations, online and a document going over the Early Departure policy was signed upon check-in to your reservation. We also give guests a letter explaining all hotel policies along with a list of restaurants in the area. I apologize for any miss-communications there may have been, but as this policy is in writing, the written holds stronger than the verbal, in which we have no way in verifying as it quickly becomes a he said/she said. We appreciate your feedback and value your opinion. We want to make sure all our guests have a great experience, however, if we can’t meet your standards, we understand if you prefer to explore other options in the future. We hope you had a lovely summer with family! Warmest Regards.
