We are currently renovating this property-both interior and exterior. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We do offer a free continental breakfast, WiFi and parking. We are pet friendly, additional fees are due with each pet. Refrigerators/microwaves are not available with every room. The room types available are King bed, double beds, family suites and accessible. We have two floors, no elevator available. We do not have a fitness center or pool. Close to downtown Oneonta, theaters, various stores and restaurants and approximately 25 miles form Cooperstown. Guests must be 21 years of age or be accompanied by a parent or guardian, must have a valid credit card to book reservations

Hotel was located in a great location on route to Cooperstown. Check-in went very smoothly and was very welcoming. Floors were wood and very nice instead of carpet. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, only 1 person at a time could use it. Breakfast was continental style with mostly packaged pastries, cereal and coffee/tea. A nice overnight stay.

The staff was cordial and helpful, however, the overall facility needs some work and/or renovations. Some of the room furniture and accessories need to be replaced, and the bed mattress needs to be replaced. The hotel exterior needs to be cleaned, and the access road to the hotel needs repair.

We stayed here planning on going to the Baseball Hall of Fame. I was told by the BHOF that I could bring my dog only to find out, I could not. Well the ladies at the front desk came to the rescue. They offered to keep the dog for us. This was a blessing. He really enjoyed the 2 ladies and we enjoyed ourselves as well. The hotel is not much to look at but the rooms were clean and the staff was so awesome. I would recommend this hotel anytime, plus if we go back to Cooperstown this will be the hotel we stay at

Spent the night there so we could drive up to Cooperstown Baseball Museum the next morning. Arrived before check-in and the lady at the desk was wonderful. Hubby forgot to indicate we were traveling with our dog but she quickly changed our room. She even gave us spare towels to put down on the floor under his bowls. She explained all of the areas I could walk him and to beware of skunks in the woods at night. lol The room was clean and comfortable. I liked that it didn't have carpet, had simulated wood floors so it felt cleaner than carpet. Very good location, away from the road noise and lots of places to get something to eat including a Denny's right in front of the parking lot. Would stay there again if traveling that way.

We have always stayed at The Clarion when visiting our son at SUNY Oneonta because of its location in town. On this occasion (graduation) the Clarion was booked so we had to make alternate arrangements. The location of this hotel wasn't as good but the staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was CLEAN! And the price was right. Pleasantly surprised!

Once we got past the homeless guy rolling his own cigarettes in the doorway and talking to his imaginary friend and the staff chain-smoking at the lobby entrance, we were greeted with the news that our room would not be available until 4:00. (check in is at 3:00). We were offered a different room, so we took it because we had things to do. The room was sparse and smelled of a combination of old cigarettes and wet dog. It was clean, but the bed sheets had stains and one of the blankets had holes in it. Luckily, we only stayed for one night . . . and we will not return to this property.

We decided to stay at this hotel in August 2019 when visiting Cooperstown, NY. The hotel is located about 30 minutes , 23 miles from the heart of Cooperstown. We ended up having an OK stay, even though it seemed very run down, everything from the walls, carpeting, furniture, curtains needed a major face lift. Even the parking lot was in horrible condition. Overall, our stay was OK but we will not return in the future until it gets updated.

Homecoming weekend ...booked 3 rooms..all 3 no issues at all with any of them.
Denny's on site, Dunkin across the street. Been staying here the past 2 years while my daughter's in college, never an issue! Bed are comfortable, clean rooms. Only thing I recommend is our more large towels in each room

Windows and exit door stuck. Could not leave room, had to be rescued. Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Phone did not work to call front desk. They moved me twice. Promised a discount on bill but only received $39 off a $750 bill. Don't stay here.

This is an excellent choice for the budget-conscious. The rooms were updated, clean, and comfortable. The staff are very pet-friendly and helpful—they made our stay wonderful! The only complaint I had was about the limited selection of breakfast items, but that’s not a big deal for us—there’s a grocery store just down the street and a McDonalds across the street. Overall, a great experience!

The pet fee is 10.00 plus tax per night , 25.00 plus tax for multiple nights. The room renovations are complete. We are working on carpeting bids for the stairs and corridors.
