The breakfast was grab and go. The first day was disappointing with very limited offerings. Fruit cup, yogurt, pre-packaged danish and bagels. The coffee was the worst I had ever had. Second day there we didn't even go for the breakfast. I don't know if it gets better after the Covid thing or if this is their normal offerings. Take your own coffee pot if you want good coffee and I always take my own coffee mug since I do not like drinking from Styrofoam. Sorry -- a breakfast buffet is only as good as their coffee and this was bad!
The AC worked great, and there is a heater/light in the bath if you are here for the winter months. The bathroom really needs a couple hooks and a towel bar. There is literally no where to put any of your clothing. No vanity for the sink, it is small and supported by one metal bar. Water pressure was fine. The location is what you pay for here. There are a couple Adirondack chairs and a table outside the door, and it was great to relax out there, look at the water and watch the extremely tame deer that frequent the area. There is a beach two minutes away(not dog friendly) , a boat rental right across the street and town is right outside the door. I would have gone five stars but our TV didn’t work the last night and after 10 PM there is no one to call for assistance. Overall I would stay again...the positives out weighed the minor negatives.
The woman who was in the lobby when we arrived seemed as though she could care less that we were there. She was friendly enough but not overly chatty and when asked what she recommended for dinner she was less than enthused to provide any information.
The room had an amazing view and was very clean. Nothing fancy, super basic with a fridge and microwave. The sliding screen door was a plus but would have been nicer had the screen not been busted in places. It was also nice that our room had a door connecting to our family's room that we could open. Despite it being super basic, I was impressed with the location and cleanliness of the room. I would certainly stay here again if I was in the area.
There is also a small fridge and microwave for dinner leftovers and beverages.
In my opinion it’s the the best value in town without spending $200+ /night.
See you next year!
The office is spacious but smelled very strongly of deodorizer. The building is run down, very dated and scary looking on the outside. See photos. When we checked into room #2, there was a very strong odor of previous pets in a dark brown carpeted room. The beds were covered with cheap rough dark brown bed covers. The bathroom door hinges were rusted and spider web was in the corner. We opened the patio door to air out a bit then decided to head out for a walk & dinner. When we returned, we decided we couldn’t stay there. We checked out and were told that “no refund will be made”; we paid $265.21 with a pet fee. Was not even asked why we were leaving early nor did she seem to care. We were so relieved to not have stayed at this gross place. Not recommended
Breakfast is “grab and go”. Muffins, bagels, fruit cup, yogurt.. coffee and juice.
The ONLY thing I wish is the fridge and microwave were included. They are extra.
