In contradiction to other reviewers, I found this property clean and in good condition. There were shabby details: my window didn't fully close, the screen was damaged, the box spring mattress was covered in weird stains, etc. but overall it was a place I was comfortable bringing my family. The problem is that, like many hotels owned by these types of people, they have used Covid to save money by taking away the free breakfast, which is probably the primary reason most people go to places like this. This despite the fact that this business took PPE $ from the government and is making more money than ever. Just cheap, cheap cheap. You had to request the breakfast at the front desk, where you were given a paper bag with a muffin in a plastic wrapper and a small, sealed cup of apple juice. If you have a child, they might thrown in a small yogurt. And will priceline refund you due to the blatant false advertising on their website? Don't make me laugh.

Hotel had a strong odor that I can only describe as cat pee. When we asked for extra towels (only 2 in room and we had 4 people) we were met with hostility. The beds in the room didn't match meaning one was obviously newer than the other. The only electrical outlet near the sink was questionable at best. It definitely is true that you get what you pay for and honestly it was no where worth the $160 we spent.

As a friend and I were traveling on vacation, we ended up booking a room here because of a thunderstorm altered our camping plans for one night. This Super 8 was close by to our next destination. I booked the room via cell phone.
Those at the front desk were friendly enough, and they were professional. The building seemed to be in good condition. The room was nice. A little musty smell lingered in the hall. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was okay. Overall, not too bad.

Hotel prices have skyrocketed due to the new Lego Land in the area. However, this Super 8 should not be charging even half the $200 per night fee (includes taxes and fees). Bring your own vacuum. Don't plan on breakfast (there was coffee and some granola bars).

Do Not stay in an odd numbered room, between people leaving the bar next door and the car guys in the adjoining parking lot you won’t get to sleep. Til late. The free breakfast means go to the front desk, hope someone is there and beg for your bag: a teeny muffin and apple juice with a small bag of whole grain goldfish You must unplug something else if you want to make coffee in your room.

The Super 8 by Wyndham in Salina Kansas is one place I wouldn't not recommend anyone to stay, Especially if you're a Black Person.The place is managed by a Husband an wife the wife really shows that she don't like black people and thanks that your opinion as a customer does not matter and that you just take whatever room that she gives you rather you like it or not. I stayed here last night because my truck broke down and needed some repairs and my company paid for my room and the next morning I was told that they only paid for one night but my company told no that was a mistake my stay was extended and so I placed in a different room .I went back to the front immediately after go into the room which was next to the Highway Andi didn't like it because of the noise and ask to return to my old room and she ask me 4 times was I sure and I said yes and then when I return from my truck with my bags she refuse to give me back my original room which had already been pay for as if I didn't have any choice and I should just except what ever room she gave me and that's final. The days of this kind of treatment should be something of the pass and no person should have had never had to put up with such rudeness or Racist behavior in the beginning. I am a full blooded American and you are here from another country acting like you are superior to me as a black person. Take it from me , My Name is Alben Primus you do not wanna stay here, Do not support racism ‼️

Friendly staff and location is good. Free coffee with a brown bag breakfast. Well worn and stained carpet in hallway downstairs. Our room had no carpets which was good as it didn’t harbor any pet smells. Smokers stand outside the doors so the smell lingers in hallways . A separate bench for smokers in parking lot area would be helpful.

Please do not stay here. it’s dirty, decaying and disgusting.
If you’re thinking of staying at this “hotel” don’t.. it’s an overall disappointment and a great way to ruin a road trip.
The hotel is decaying, everything is broken, breaking or extremely dirty.. hallways smell like old moody carpets, walls are scuffed and stained.. inside the rooms you’ll be greeted by beaten up and dirty furniture, a bathroom that is full of mold and mildew and a bathroom floor that is rotting and ready to cave in..
I’d rather sleep in the trunk of my car then stay here again

Very disappointed, the room smelled like wet carpet, the shower faucet never worked, and manager refused to provide breakfast beverage and food. Save your money and go elsewhere. When contacted about the issues, management claimed that since book through a third party, they could not correct hotel inadequacies.

The attached photos of the Super 8 in Middletown, NY are evidence of the lack of cleanliness and poor maintenance of this property. Specifically, the photos show torn, tattered and soiled upholstery, corroded sink drain, rusty lamp base, damaged laminate flooring, cigarette burns on the bedspread, mold and grime imbedded on the baseboards and grout and chipped paint on walls and door jambs. In the public areas, the only ice machine was out of order. Breakfast consisted of a paper bag available at reception containing a small cup of orange juice, a muffin and a bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. The morning coffee was the color of gray dishwater. Banta management company should review and improve their housekeeping and maintenance procedures.

Here at Super 8 Middletown we are serious about cleanliness. Linen and bedspreads are changed after every check out. We would have it no other way. We have a great team here and again, we are serious about cleanliness and providing the best in service.
