Detailed Reviews
I didn’t realize how lucky I was booking this hotel. It had just opened 4 days before I checked in. Everything looks fantastic. Staff is proud of the new hotel and doing everything they can to make sure guests are welcome and enjoy the stay. Rooms are spacious, well appointed, quiet and very comfortable. I got great recommendations from manager for dinner, and they helped me print a few pages in the AM. Can’t say enough how much I enjoyed being one of the first to experience this hotel. Felt very clean and safe here - every precaution was taken to keep social distanced. Everyone I saw wore a mask, and hand sanitizers were all around the lobby. Highest marks!

Everyone was super nice. The receptionist personally brought a luggage cart to the back door where we parked near the closest entrance to out room. They readily extended our checkout time for us when we needed it due to car mechanical problems. The place is very clean and beautiful.
Would certainly return here.

The hotel is brand new at the time and has the design of the newer Residence Inn properties. We stayed in a king suite. The kitchen has a mini island/counter and is very functional given the compact size of the room. The sofa pulls out to a thin springy mattress, also typical and expected so I would recommend this only for young children.
During the pandemic breakfast was grab and go and the items were granola bars and water. Overall the hotel is wonderful and clean, quite expected for a newer property.
Unfortunately the level of noise was quite loud from our neighbors but this is nothing the hotel could be accountable for. I would choose to stay here again in the future if visiting Legoland NY. I think this is a much better option than paying the exorbitant prices of the Lego Hotel but you have to decide whether or not you prioritize a hotel with wallpapers of Lego figurines or something more practical.

We thank you for choosing the Residence Inn for your recent stay. Our hotel is new and very functional with most of the amenities you would find at home. I addition to the King Studio suite you stayed in, we also have one bedroom suites with two queen beds which offer even more space. Opening in the midst of the pandemic limited us in many ways including offering just a grab and go breakfast. But, we were finally able to open our hot breakfast buffet a few weeks ago and our guests have been very pleased with the food options including waffles, eggs and bacon. We were also able to open our bar and restaurant which is open each evening from 5pm-11pm. Its great to be back to some semblance of normalcy! We are happy to hear you will stay again and we look forward to you next visit!

We checked into this new Residence Inn and were nicely pleased. While we only stayed one night, the hotel has many amenities. There is an exterior patio area with a fire pit. It is a nice outdoor space to rest, relax, and meet other guests. The hotel offers a full complimentary breakfast, like the buffet breakfasts that were common, prior to the pandemic. There is also the grab and go breakfast option. The hotel has a heated indoor pool, bar area, business center, and large lobby with a fireplace. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day.
The "rooms" are similar to studio apartments. There is a full kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, cups, glasses, and dishes. In addition, there is a fairly large living room with large television, office area, couch, and chairs.
The bedroom accommodates a king bed. The bedding is very comfortable. The bathroom is extremely large with a dressing area adjoining the bedroom and bathroom. The hotel and grounds are well maintained.
The staff is very pleasant and helpful. They are knowledgeable of local events and attractions. Across the street is a major supermarket. Adjoining the hotel property is a national restaurant. A short distance from the hotel. is a large mall with several restaurants. There are many other restaurants within two miles, in all directions, from the hotel.
The hotel is located just off the exits from Route 17.

We lost power for 4 days and needed a place with A/C, wifi and a kitchen. This hotel was brand-spanking new, sparkling clean and had policies in place to ensure we felt safe during the COVID-19 crisis. The staff was so helpful and kind, even when we had to extend our stay several times. I had to work remotely and the internet was more than sufficient to allow me to work. My husband, son and I stayed in a studio suite but we had plenty of room and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. They had breakfast bags available each morning in place of breakfast buffet. It was also very close to restaurants when we wanted a takeout meal. Despite the circumstances, we had a quiet, relaxing stay and would definitely return.

We lost power in NJ during hurricane and stayed here to have wifi so that we can still work, AC, etc. This hotel could not have been more accommodating, very friendly staff, etc. It is in a perfect location off the highway but tucked away surrounded by great restaurants and stores. The room was lovey and super comfortable. It truly is a home away from home!

Remember if you liked this review to leave me a like.
Stayed for 1 night. I'm from the next county over but had a 2 day event in this area and didn't want to drive.
The hotel is close to practically everything, I mean it's less then a mile from Route 17, 3 malls within 2 miles and numerous area chain and local restaurants. But just far enough out of the way where I didn't hear any traffic. I was informed upon checkin that they were nearly fully booked as there was a soccer tournament in the area and while I could see numerous buses arriving in the evening (After 4:00PM) and departing in the morning (Before 7:00AM) my room was very quite and I didn't see or hear anyone in the hotel that looked like they were on a soccer team.
Check-in was easy, the staff friendly and my room was assigned within about 5 minutes. I think there is only 1 elevator bank in the middle of the hotel but I was able to park close to my room and then just walk up and down via the stairs which are at the ends. I liked that a card key was also required to open the doors at these access points.
The room is a suite with a kitchenette. I didn't do any cooking but the room had a regular size fridge and the ability too cook stuff and service for 4.
Wifi was available and the desk is fairly large with USB ports available in addition to power outlets. The large LCD TV is in the center of the room and can be directed (180 degrees) to both the bed or pull out couch area.
The room doesn't have a lot of closet space but it was enough for me. There is plenty of dresser drawer space.
The bathroom was pretty large. The shower is also large and while the large shower door swings both ways, for me it felt like the shower door was too large as you have to dodge the toilet if you swing the door out after getting out of the shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. For me the floor in the shower was a bit slipper so use caution.
Breakfast was available in the lobby area and on weekends it begins at 6:30, They had available: (Hot) scrambled egg whites, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, pork sausage and make your own waffles plus various thing you can toast.
(Cold) Yogurts, scones, with fruit and cream, bananas, oranges eggs and cereals.
Coffee, generic tea and various beverages (cranberry, orange juice, (and 2 other juices that I can't recall) were also available.
I believe they also have a for purchase snack area, a limited hours on-site bar, pool and gym but I didn't explore the hotel or do anything other then use the wifi on the desk in my room, sleep, shower, and breakfast in the morning.
Check out was also pretty easy and efficient.

This is really a wonderful hotel. From the moment we were very pleasantly greeted by Lauren to when we requested and were immediately granted a late check-out, we had a great experience here. Th e hotel is brand new, very clean and spacious. All rooms are suites. The room had a full size fridge, large microwave and 2 stove top burners.....things that I haven't seen in standard hotel rooms. There were pots and all eating utensils. There were numerous usb ports in the room. It had a couch and a nice desk/work area plus a counter to sit and enjoy a meal. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would particularly like to mention and thank Lauren and the manager Lisa. There were a few very minor issues...but even these have a positive side to them. Namely ...when I mentioned them to the manager, she took the time and trouble to mark them down. I have little doubt that they will all be rectified quickly.
I forgot to mention that the hotel is near the highway but far enough that you don't hear or see the traffic. It's also near shopping. A Hannaford store is about a 3 minute walk.
All in all I can't say enough praise about this place!!

We used to live in the tri state area and had to come back to take care of some personal business. The hotel was relatively new and very nice. Room was comfortable although not as large as other Residence Inns we have stayed in. They also did not have the usual Happy Hour evenings but did have a limited bar/restaurant on site. Breakfast was pretty good and we enjoyed the fresh
berries with our cereal.
However, there seemed to be several long term residents in the hotel which was a bit strange. The hotel was also pet friendly which is fine as long as the pets were well behaved. We had a room in our corridor that had several dogs and cats in it and the dogs regularly barked and were scratching on the blinds when you walked past the window. The owner came back one evening when I was in the corridor and the dogs were barking and he started cursing loudly at the dogs. This is definitely not the Residence Inn I am used to.
The last thing I want to mention is that the rates for our room were higher than I have ever paid in Orange/Pike County they were more like Manhattan prices. I did try to contact the Sales Department at the hotel before our long stay but they never answered their phone.
We just stayed at a full service Marriott in VA for less than a third of the price, what's going on in Orange County??
Disappointed.

Thank you for staying at our new Residence Inn in Middletown. Residence Inn's are set up with everything needed whether someone is staying 1 or 100 nights. They are primarily extended stay properties and yes, we do have people staying for longer than a week or two at a time due to business, relocation and various reasons. We are a pet friendly but when pets (and their owners), do not act appropriately, we do ask them to leave which was the case for the room you spoke of. There is a lot happening in the Orange County area especially in the summer months! Legoland has opened, beautiful hiking and wine trails, Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets, are just a few of the attractions that are selling out the area. We do hope that should your travels bring you back to the area that you will stay with us again!

Stayed here as part of a vacation package through Legoland. We chose here since it was pet friendly but were really amazed at the friendly staff, amenities and excellent condition of this hotel. Every single staff member we ran into went out of their way to be nice and helpful and each time it felt like a genuine gesture from a great team. Our kids loved in the warm indoor pool and hot breakfast. We were walk to to get dinner from the supermarket directly across the street and cook in the well appointed kitchen with a combination microwave/convection oven and stovetop. The suite was in great shape with new furniture, high ceilings, a separate bedroom and a pull out couch for our large family. Legoland was an easy drive less than 10 minutes away and unlike their hotel we got an indoor pool and were able to bring our dog. Really happy with our experience and highly recommend it to others.
