Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There was nothing wrong with the hotel itself except being completely understaffed and it showed. The staff that were there were friendly and doing the best they could, but how can one person be expected to do front desk, breakfast area and housekeeping at the same time? Rooms were clean and perfectly adequate except we were only given two towels (for four people) and had to ask for more at the front desk. They admitted they had a towel shortage and we could see the pile up walking by the laundry room. Connecting room doors were an issue as we could hear everything from the next room when they checked in late at 11:30pm and we were trying to sleep. Breakfast on Saturday morning was a mess. Waffle maker and pancake maker ran out and there was a 45 minute wait for them to be replaced since only one staff person on to do this plus front desk and housekeeping it looked like. Pool was clean and felt great after a hot day. Proximity to LEGOLAND New York and Hotwire deal was the only reason we booked. Would never pay $200 a night for this hotel.

Stayed here for a soccer tournament in Walkill (12 minutes away). Never stayed in a Sleep Inn before. It was pleasantly surprising. Very clean, beds were comfortable, typical continental breakfast. Had a Belgium waffle maker, pancake maker that was able to be set to how many pancakes you wanted, bagels, rolls, apple danishes, wrapped cookies, coffee was good. Despite the crowded soccer players at the hotel, Alexis was wonderful at always replenishing and had a smile on her face the entire time. Our team was able to put tables together for a true team breakfast and even took over the tv lounge the night before--a loud bunch but the staff was wonderful! They have an indoor pool and weight room but we did not take advantage of it. Multiple eateries close by. If in the area again, would return to this hotel.

The lacrosse tournament featured this place and rooms were available for our Friday night stay. They jack up pricing for these events. The bathroom was kept shut which is normal, except there's no air conditioning circulating in there so it was a boiler when we first arrived and were all ready to use it! The morning spread was decent, although an associate seemed unsure of how early she needed it all ready given the crowd. I've expressed a hygiene-maintenance concern on Room 322, and I'm curious how well they handle it for the very current, most relevant, constituency regarding. Nobody wants to hear too about how much it can matter for future customers when you have a pointed hygiene matter that concerns right now. They want to hear that your family matters as any other ever potentially would to them.

The only sit down breakfast item left at 8:15am was waffles, so that was highly disappointing. The front desk clerk when we got there said a late check-out would depend on housekeeping's schedule the next day, that I should check then. The next morning, a different front desk person told me there was no late check-out regardless of schedule. Disappointed in the conflicting responses. Cleanliness in the room was fine. The stairway rug wasn't as clean-looking. Price was a lot for what the hotel is. Location was good for our purpose.

Stay at hotels a minimum of 50 nights a year and this one of our worst experiences ever. This is only a summary of the ridiculousness we experienced. Called hotel and made reservation and was a email confirmation directly from hotel. At check-in we were told wouldn’t honor rate reflected in our email with a confirmation number. This is after front desk person called management. After several phone calls and back and forth finally honored rate! How can you give a rate with your email and confirmation and then not honor it. They then charge us 2x and it is a week later and we still haven’t gotten a refund. We have wasted our time calling in multiple times to get this resolved. Manager told us she couldn’t issue refund on a particular day because she was “working from home”. Case in point - how do you manage a hotel working from home! Hotel was dirty, ice machines out of order, an elevator out of order. Never seen anything like it. Do not stay here

The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and it seemed as though our room had already been done. Beautiful new lighted mirror in the bathroom, and you could see torn wallpaper around the top, so obviously it was not replaced. I did love the showerhead - so invigorating! Our king suite was very spacious, but there was a noticeable smoke odor in the hallways and our room as well even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The window in the room was open when we opened the room, so the staff were aware of the smell. Even turning on the heat or the a/c did not get rid of it. Not sure that I would recommend this hotel.

Rooms were clean and my bed didn't have any bugs, which gets 5 stars from me. Walls are a little thin, which is more of a problem with other patrons as opposed to the establishment itself. Not really sure what people have goin on at 4AM that isn't being in a coma. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice. It was on the smaller side, but at the end of the day I'm not going for the pool, so just having it there is a plus. Breakfast was top notch. Huge spread, and any place with a Belgian waffle maker is great. This place had two, big and mini waffles. Plus an automatic pancake maker. Pancakes were lackluster but the machine was cool to watch. The woman behind the counter that checked us in and out literally had a newborn with her and if that's not customer service, I don't really know what is. Would stay again.

We picked this hotel because it was easy access off the freeway during our road trip farther south. As soon as we drove up I regretted picking this place. There were way too many people loitering around in the parking lot, sitting on cars, smoking, etc. Some were smoking right by the front door so it stunk inside. The hotel was dirty, not just dirty but filthy. The floors in the elevator were sticky with something and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. The beds were just okay, and the breakfast was a sorry excuse for food, even if it was free. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

When visiting my friends in Slidell I normally stay at Tru a Hilton property. I learned about the sleep in from her brother who travels often and he told me to give it a try. Well not only is it half the price you get free breakfast and this place is absolutely spotless! That person cannot stand staying in hotels however I am so comfortable here and the gentlemen who created last night was very kind!
The bed is extremely comfortable and I cannot stress enough how spotless the place is! Well worth every penny

Clean, comfortable rooms, nice decor in lobby, decorative fireplace. Great free breakfast. Coffee in room. Location was close to the freeway exit. Not close to any good restaurants though. Just fast food nearby, but there was a great deli nearby, Farmers deli. It had halal food and great lamb and rice and Philly cheesesteak sandwiches.
