The Ravel Hotel Trademark Collection presents a dichotomy in guest experiences. While the hotel's rooms are commended for their comfort and impressive city vistas, some visitors have expressed dissatisfaction with the value, pointing out steep prices that don't align with the amenities offered. Despite the praise for the cleanliness and the hotel's vibrant atmosphere, there are mixed feelings about its location and service, with reports of both helpful staff and unprofessional behavior. Furthermore, the limited dining options and sporadic maintenance issues have not gone unnoticed by guests.

We just returned from this hotel and there were some good and some bad. The good, they put us on the 9th floor and our view was pretty incredible. It was nice to sit out on the balcony which was a decent size and see the city and the river. The furnishings were modern and I feel that I would have expected a bigger room if I were elsewhere but knowing New York has limited sizes it was a decent size. The chair in the room was not very comfortable but the room felt clean and housekeeping came every day. The bed was not very comfortable and there were only 4 pillows and they were an odd size, smaller than I am used to and not very comfortable also. There was a small fridge but no microwave. The biggest downfall was no food on site. The weather was questionable and it was a walk anywhere for food. The only vending machine was on the first floor and within a few days the pop and chips were pretty limited due to being the only source of food on a rainy day. There were plenty of opportunities for a small food cart or vendor to be on site especially with the ballroom not being used. The people at the front desk were very nice, but I'm not sure I would go back basically due to the food issue and not very comfortable bed. We came for a wedding at the foundary which was right next door so super close. There was a pool but it wasn't open and I don't believe it was part of the hotel, I think you have to pay extra to use it but again the area was closed but it appeared that it would be a really cool place. My only other complaint was no way to turn off the light on the balcony, you had to close the curtain and we wanted to turn off the light and fall asleep to the incredible view of the city but the balcony light kinda ruined it and we had to close the curtain, too bright to sleep. I will mention that the sound proofing was great, we never heard the neighbors unless we were both out on our balconies and didn't hear any street noise and we could hear some from outside so that was another positive. All of this being said, my family had a different room that had a couch, no view and no balcony and in a different building and my brother had a super cool room but open bathroom to bedroom view, so be aware that all the rooms are not the same. This may be why I saw so many 1 star or 5 star reviews. Our room was in my opinion the best room and I wouldn't have been as happy in one of theirs.

We stayed here for a wedding as a part of the wedding block. While I appreciated the prioritization in getting a clean room, the room we were put into had completely uneven flooring throughout the room and bathroom. For those who watch How I Met Your Mother, remember the episode were Marshall and Lilly realize their apartment is slanted? It was like that, but we had hills and valleys instead.

We weren't warned of construction/maintenance that occurred the first morning of our stay, but at least it was only for that morning. The bride and groom, who were staying in the Penthouse, were also not warned of a nighttime party occurring the night before their wedding.

Staff is adequate, but advising guests of these inconveniences would have provided a better experience. The last thing you want is to wake up early to loud banging when you came in on a red eye.

Came here for a wedding ceremony plus reception on a Saturday evening in the spring and it was a smoothly run event. The ceremony took place in the ballroom, and during cocktail hour, it was converted into the reception. There’s valet parking available, as well as a few street parking spots along the road. Otherwise, it was about 15 minute walk from the nearest train station. There’s an outdoor rooftop area where cocktail hour was held on the 6th floor, and you can see a nice city view.

The staff were all professional and accommodating. My main gripe with the hotel was that the bathrooms were a bit dirty, and there was one stall with a broken handle that was unflushed (and unclean) for the entirety of the evening. Otherwise, it’s a solid choice for a wedding venue (from the perspective of a wedding guest).

Another wonderful stay at the Ravel this past January. My friend and I met up in NYC for the weekend and booked separate rooms. I wish I had remembered to take more photos and not videos, but my room was huge with a sitting area and the bathroom had a bathtub! My friend had a separate room without a balcony and it was almost exactly like mine, just with a smaller bathroom. That worked out great for us since we came to the city to hang out and he slept at night in his own room. The sitting area in my room worked great for us to hang out in the hotel. We had a local friend come by for dinner with us one night and the shuttle driver was nice enough to take the three of us to the subway station for our adventure in Manhattan.

I don't have as many great pics of the view this time as the cold was absolutely brutal but had some things I wanted to note about staying at the Ravel in the winter time as opposed to the summer, fall, and spring as I have previously. The wind coming across the East River in early January is absolutely frigid and my balcony faced directly toward it. That said, even though I was directly facing the river, the door was well sealed and insulated and my room wasn't cold or drafty at all.

The final day of my stay, I awoke in a panic realizing I had slept in and missed my flight. The staff was really kind to me and assured me tons of people do it every day and everything would be fine. They allowed me to delay my checkout for an hour for free and then let me pay for a couple additional hours while I waited to be able to find a seat on a new flight home.

The gentleman at the front desk let me know to always check the uber prices before calling for one to the airport as during peak times, they contract a car service for a flat fee can be cheaper which is definitely a good tip if you're budget conscious. I don't recall what the fee was at the moment and it may have changed since January but I do recall it was very close to the cost of my uber at that time which i found reasonable. Uber fares, however, can vary wildly so definitely ask the front desk about this option so you can make the comparison!

I was due back for my birthday in April but the pandemic left me with a cancelled trip so I plan to return mid-September. Mr. Gupte with the management team has always been helpful with requests, such as making sure my friend and I were in similar areas of the hotel during our stay and giving me a balcony when there is one available!

I will continue to stay here when I visit, I love this hotel, I love the hotel, I love the businesses in the area (HIGHLY recommend Centro on Vernon Blvd! If you order ahead, they will freeze you a pie to take home!) which are easily accessible via the hotel's free shuttle. The front desk can make recommendations on things to see and do in the area as well. Its the perfect place to take a step back and enjoy NYC.

This hotel is on par with a 2 star hotel and Wyndham needs to seriously rethink allowing this hotel to continue diluting its brand.

I needed to ask them to clean the toilet right after checking in because of pee on the toilet seat, and they were hesitant to do this. The first reaction from the front desk was to blame me for it. After 5 minutes of careful deliberation, they finally decided they could clean it.

Also, there are marks all over the walls, dated furniture, old pilled sheets with plenty of hair (5+ hairs that I noted), moldy bathroom tiles, and a door with so much water damage that paint was peeling. I have pictures of all of this. Does this description remind you of a 4 star hotel? Everything from room quality to room size and cleanliness were below what I would expect from even a 2 star branded hotel and absolutely nowhere close to a 4 star.

The hotel also runs some sort of dance hall and I could hear loud music in my room until 3am. The night shift manager informed me that this occurs at a minimum every Friday and Saturday night (this was not disclosed to me until midnight during the night of my stay, and I believe it is something every potential guest should know before making a reservation). I feel robbed because I booked a room so that I could have a comfortable place to sleep. I received none of that during my stay.

The night shift supervisor told me that the general manager would call me the following day after my stay. He did not.

I have attached images from my room. You can decide for yourself how accurate the images posted on the hotel description are. The room is truly tiny, about 10x10. Plenty of hairs on the bed made me question whether the sheets had been cleaned. Outlet covers do not cover the holes in the walls - I'm pretty sure this is a code violation, but regardless, beware if you have kids.

Last minute stay at this great hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were disappointed that the rooftop bar was closed and not notified but definitely not a deal breaker. Room was clean and we had a great view. You can definitely hear the traffic from the bridge but you should know this if you stay at this facility. The breakfast had good choices and the coffee was great. Staff had the breakfast out earlier than 7 so we were pleasantly surprised. The Ravel has great rates during February and March and we highly recommend to check them out!

Would not recommend this hotel at all. Photos look good but location noisy, awful/shady, rooms are dirty with terrible patch up jobs on walls, furniture had not been dusted, sheets were rough, scuff marks on walls..... the elevator and our floor smelled of weed the whole time. The shower needs a good clean, the tv did not work and other residents were constantly slamming doors and moving furntiure all night !! Don’t be fooled by the photos.

First of all on arriving the staff where the most friendly people I have met and especially being our first time in America it was very comforting.
Greeted by Jonathan on reception he was amazing out whole trip going that extra mile! All the staff where friendly and helpful and anything we needed they supplied.
They gave us the best restaurants, clubs, shopping places to go and much more.
The free shuttle bus to the stations was a great help they ran until 10.30 at night and ran regularly every 30minutes.
Now on to the room, where do I start... it was the perfect size with tv with all the channels and a nice big comfortable bed and a beautiful shower and the balcony was so huge with the most perfect view of New York City.
The breakfast was so nice as it had a huge variety and I don’t eat pork and they provided suitable replacements such as chicken sausages!! I mean I have never had such an great experience from any other hotel I could not fault this hotel at all and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

Thanks for having us.

Here’s a picture of our balcony view.

We wanted to have a nice day at the spa with a unique local hotel stay. After searching we settled on Ravel because of its city views and the possibility of keeping everything in house by eating and drinking at the Penthouse and lounge. Our spa day was wonderful till we arrived at the hotel where things sadly proceeded to decline. I booked a Superior King room that boasted a private balcony with views of the estates gardens. I believe I read somewhere all the balcony rooms had a city view but either way a garden view would be pleasing nonetheless. Disappointingly that was far from the case when we were given room 317. Expecting to walk into a space that would make me want to spend the rest of the evening out on the balcony winter or not that was the opposite from the reality of things. I was met with a view of the driveway and parking lot that later at night we had to keep our drapes fully closed because of the car headlights shining directly through the windows whenever they'd pull in. It was miles away from being private or having any view of any garden. The room was cold when we arrived so we turned the heat up. The heating unit was very loud and it ran constantly never reaching the desired temperature. Sleeping was going to be a challenge with all the noise. We proceeded to get ready for dinner and chose to eat off property instead. When my girlfriend and I were finished with dinner it was almost the cutoff time for the hotel shuttle so we decided rather than go to a lounge or two near the restaurant we'd head back and come home for a few drinks and hopefully do some dancing at the lounge. What a great and safe way to end the night; being so close to our room right? Not the case. On our shuttle ride back we inquired about going up to the lounge and were told it turns into a club and there was a cover fee. we found that disappointing especially that they would charge us $25 even with us staying at the hotel. There was also a quick mention that it may get loud in the building and people from our floor have been known to complain. We didn't think it would have been a problem. How loud could it be? It was around eleven or so when we started hearing the bass. The lounge was on the 6th floor. We were on the 3rd. It proceeded to get louder and louder and louder. Without exaggeration it was as if we were in the trunk of a car with a sound system. KEEP PETS AWAY!!!!!!

Service and quality over all needs major improvement for the price they are charging per night. Rooms were not clean, there was still left over garbage in our bathroom garbage can when we checked in. Not all staff had masks on or properly on. Valet is a joke. $27 to park your own car and if you take your car out you lose your spot. This hotel is located in the middle of no where, you need the car to get around. AC vent started beeping at 6AM non stop. Staff was not helpful, nor did they bother to follow up. Hallways and adjoining rooms were loud at all times of the day. If your looking for a quiet and "fancy" stay, this place is deff not it. The worst staycation ever. Save your money and book else where.
