Detailed Reviews
It's a solid casino hotel. It would not be my choice, but I was staying for business. It is clearly very popular with locals. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon was a challenge because the reception area was swarming with families. All very nice, but hard to get any service or to hear anything.
I thought the rooms were expensive but there was little choice. My room was basic. It was old and had had a superficial facelift, but was satisfactory.
Breakfast was always busy, but the offer was decent.
The restaurant on the other hand was very hit and miss. Some nights we had excellent service and food, and others, well, were pretty bad with slow service. The coffee shop has virtually nothing in it. In both the cafe and restaurant you might receive your food covered in a ton of plastic wrap. I do not like having to unwrap my food at a restaurant and I worry for the environment with so much plastic being wasted.
For a hotel that has had a major refurbishment, it is astounding that there is no lift. You (or the poor porters) need to lug suitcases up and down stairs.
We found reception inconsistent and it is likely a training issue. One person refused to book an external restaurant for us and also asked for prepayment for a meal when booking. There was often inconsistency over charges and even ordering a taxi was a challenge. We needed to ask the manager to help sort things out, which he did.
This was not a place I particularly enjoyed. It is the seventh place I have stayed in at Eswatini, and it rates near the bottom.

Near perfect score for an excellent hotel /conference venue. Food was good, ambiance was nice and the overall cleanliness was very good. Housekeeping team was excellent they attended to all requirements and kept the room spotless. Restaurant team under Mr Thulani was simply perfect… attentive and eager to assist at all times. Food quality was excellent. Highly recommended place for a short stay. Please watch out for some rooms which are in urgent need of renovation, I was stuck with such a room with aged decor and broken or noisy a/c heater. This brings down the overall value for money of this otherwise excellent hotel. Other rooms I saw were simply beautiful and modern.
The smile and eagerness of the restaurant and housekeeping team actually made you overlook the room issues.

I liked the room setup and the general hotel environment. The attitude of the staff was satisfactory.. The location, being close to shopping was so helpful because one could access the place easily.. I was however surprised when the security men at the main entrance told me they don't allow items purchased from outside into the hotel. That was a shock because I could not understand why the hotel should not allow guests to buy stuff and bring them in. Fortunately, I bought those stuff on the day I was checking out with the intention of travelling with them, so I was allow to enter the hotel with them.

Have a full buffet for breakfast than this lousy menu.
Change the chef and try other recipes, just to cater for the whole lot. Have some traditional meals like the insides with pap also mbhidvo (it could be either spinach or pumpkin leaves.

The Hotel is conveniently situated in a very countryside developing mix residential/commercial area. It was a 2 night business stay and very convenient to the newly built Swazimed Hospital 1km away.
Need was a room to sleep, place to eat & Shower. The hot water takes between 10-15 minutes to run and precious water is wasted during this time.

A very nice hotel with very friendly and professional staff. The hotel manager is hands on and at times can be seen interacting with customers on a regular basis. The hotel is strategically located along a route to Manzini, tourist attractions, and to Matsapha. Opposite the hotel is a shopping center within 5minutes walk where one can find some restaurants for dining and a brief shopping experience. The craft market is within five minutes' drive. For a local experience, there is a public transport minibus stop directly in front of the hotel.

The room I stayed in was beautiful. The hotel is located at a perfect location with Eswatini's tourist attractions near to the hotel. The hotel staff is amazing and I like the fact that there is secure parking for all hotel guests.

+1
I stayed at Happy Valley Hotel a couple of times and received the best service! The hotel is conviniently located near plenty amenities, making it convinient to reach several key areas of interest in and around the Ezulwini Valley. Easily accessible from Oshoek border.
The pool facing rooms are great, the suites in the new section even better! Comfortable beds, safe, WIFI, air condition just to name a few, made my stay enjoyable.
Breakfast is amazing! A wide selection of meals for lunch and dinner, including pizzas. Excellent service from staff and management
The hotel also has state of the art conference facilities, pool and, casino, bar, etc.
I highly recommend this hotel.

A casino hotel wouldn't have been my usual choice, but we were staying here as part of an organised tour of South Africa and the accommodation was altered at the last minute.
That said, our room (127), one of the new suites, was excellent. Fabulously spacious and clean, it had a large living area, balcony and a huge bathroom with rain shower, twin sinks and a separate bath.
The restaurant experience, however, could have been much better. We struggled to pay for drinks after our buffet dinner. There seemed to be lots of serving staff but they were slow and there was a lack of coordination.
If I had been staying in one of the regular rooms, rather than a new suite, I would have only given the hotel 3 stars.
A special mention goes to Michael who assisted with our luggage on arrival and departure. He was very pleasant and courteous and his appearance in eswatini traditional attire, as we were leaving, was appreciated. Thank you Michael.

The staff were not welcoming and did not care to explain critical things at checking in i.e. the direction to your room, the wifi password, breakfast venue and time. Its like they assume you know. I did not get the hospitality I was expecting
