This hotel ranks much better than most places outside Lagos and Abuja because they understand more what foreign business travellers require. It's clean, quiet and everything works. When a light bulb failed a loose connection to the air conditioning occurred, an electrician emerged in minutes and sorted it out. Staff are friendly and the buffet breakfast is ample but caters very much more to Nigerian tastes, so don't expect a choice of cereals or yoghurt or liquid milk. Bare in mind that some food can be rather oily and Nigerians love chillies in everything, but they call them peppers! Rooms start at Naira13000 (U$1.00=N360)
The environment is serene ,room is spacious and conducive, staff are nice and very friendly. The meals are very nice. I will recommend Silk Suites 1000 times and would definitely visit again. Loved it
It was a sad period but staying in silk really helped the ambience of the hotel is okay. Lovely friendly staff. Neat environment good breakfast. A very nice place to stay when in jos. Will definitely come back again soon.
I spent 3 nights at the Silk Suites and it was a good experience. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The room where I stayed was spacious and neat, with AC, satellite TV, coffee maker and a fridge. A bottle of water is provided every morning. There was complimentary breakfast and it was very good, although there wasn't so many choices to be made. All the same, what was provided was good, very good. Wi-Fi was available and free, although the room I got was at a wing, not with the main building and the Wi-Fi didn't get there. The hotel is quite big with lots of space. This meant I had to stay often around the lobby area, or bar/lounge to use Wi-Fi. The hotel has a nightclub which comes alive at the weekend. Unfortunately, there is no gym or swimming pool - yet. I say that because I believe they are in the process of being provided. All in all, a good place to stay if you're in Jos. I enjoyed my stay.…
Silk Suites is, in one word, impressive. One would expect this level of quality and service in Lagos or Abuja, but JOS?? A very pleasant surpise. It's easy to know a classy, well-run establishment, and Silk Suites is IT. From the concierge to the rooms to the restaaurant, this is a very good hotel experience. A bit pricey by Jos standards, but the money is well spent. A definite thumbs up from me!!
