Was so impressed by the recent renovations at bridgecamp . It looks far much better than I anticipated . Beautiful chalets and had beautiful afternoons watching the monkeys jump from tree to tree !Will definitely be stopping over more often . The lady who attended to me was amazing.

Ok for camping for the night. Hot water. Great views from the deck. Avoid the food. Drinks are very expensive. Accommodation is ridiculously expensive and getting increasingly dilapidated. Under new management but heading downhill rapidly.

En-route to South Luangwa we needed a place to stop and Bridge Camp was well-placed. The location is great, overlooking the Luangwa river with a comfortable seating and dining area. We had the whole camp to ourselves so we were allowed to pitch our tent and park our vehicle directly next to the main restaurant and seating area, this made things super easy as we arrived when it was just getting dark. We cooked our own food and were able to use the restaurant toilets which were close by, plus there a night watchman for security. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant but we did see the facilities near the washing up area and they didn’t look particularly clean, so would be wary if you are not self-catering. You do get wonderful views of the sun setting over the river at this spot and it does feel more secluded than other lodges on the road from Lusaka.

The camp is very nicely located overlooking the Luangwa river. It is on the main road (with very little traffic), making it easliy accessible. I stayed in chalet #4, nicely located and decently equipped; other chalets I saw are in a less adequate state. The restaurant/bar area are scenic. Chairs etc have seen better days. The staff was not overly interested in makign my stay anything special, but I also liked the peace and quiet after all the business meetings I had had in the past days. Food was OK. Not so OK was the price. I was charged about three times the amount that I am charged at other camps/lodges. And these other camps usually are better maintained and more cheerful than this one. I may stay here again if I am around and need a place to stay, I would not make any special effort to end up here for the night.

We camped for one night only, en route to S. Luangwa. 2 star rating for hot water showers, and the security guard on site overnight. I would not recommend it- Expensive and dilapidated, in a sorry state.
