Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The cabin was fairly dirty, all of the running water literally smelled exactly like egg salad and blood.... The swimming pool was tiny and very crowded and the lakes were so overgrown with algae and scum that swimming in them was not a question. It was overall not the best experience and they asked us to mop the floors before we left which seemed odd...I would not recommend it to a friend or even a stranger.

The good:
The pool was clean, with a GREAT view.
The trails looked really nice although admittedly I was too tired to walk them... more on that later.

The bad:
The campsites were so close together I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack. We rented a electric/gas hookup site and got the sads when we were literally two feet away from the next trailer. We live in the city, I camp to get AWAY from hearing people cough two feet away from me.

The real bad:
The seasonal trailer across from us kept us up until 4:00 a.m. Right. 4:00 a.m. And they only stopped their drunken screaming/laughing/fighting after my husband got up, in the rain, and had to beg them to stop. My 11 year old sobbed all night because they wouldn't be even kind of quiet. We shouted a dozen times - BE QUIET - to no avail. The rangers let it go... we contemplated calling the police but were terrified they'd beat us up once the cops left. The guys came over the next morning and all but told us they'd kick our butts if we had pushed it any further. It's clear the "locals" have their own code there. So we all ended up getting a few hours sleep and a baddddd taste in our mouths. Which leads me to...

Kind of a beer swillers dream here. Didn't love my kids seeing drunks stumbling around at 9 a.m. but to each his own. I'm all for fun and having a few drinks, but DRUNK at 9. Come on now.

And... the bathrooms in the shower house by the dumping station look like something you'd see in a movie about Siberia in the 50's. Gross. Super gross.

I hate bad mouthing businesses buuuttttt... I was really glad to leave.

We rented 3 cabins here for a large group for the weekend. The ladies who work the counter a really nice, however, 'Ranger' John was not overly hospitable as a biz owner should be. We checked in late evening and he seemed overly bothered to help us with accomodations. You practically sign your life away with a long list of donts or you will be charged exhorbitant amounts ($50 a sq ft if you park on the grass???) The cabins were clean, however, not well laid out. 1 had a sink in the kitchen but no faucet, the other 2 had no sinks in the kitchen. Just because it claims to sleep X amount of ppl, make sure you plan on lots of sharing. Mattresses sucked, pullouts were horrible. Water trickled from faucets and the sulpher smell was overpowering. They do not provide toilet paper for their push pedal toilets. I know this is cabin camping. But the cabin quality did not reflect the price we paid. The final irritation was having to wait 40 MINUTES at the front office while the cabins were inspected so we could get back our $300 cash deposit! Price of cabins need to come down to reflect accomodations and 'ranger' John needs to be a bit more hospitable. We won't be back.

We stayed at the renovated Annie Oakley cabin for three nights. The scenery including the bald eagle sitting is awesome. Did some fishing in the two lakes. Got some nice trout and bass. The crappier are on steroids and were a blast to catch on my ultra light. My wife enjoyed the trails and campfire. Had a nice array of activities. The cabin was perfect. Totally renovated with appliances AC tv and walk in shower. Only down side is well water. Everyone here seems very friendly and no one hassled us or anything like you maybe have read about and no I am not related to anyone here. It was a nice stress free weekend

I was a seasonal camper here last year. This place has different rules for different people. on memorial day weekend another seasonal camper named Al went around to all the people with dogs and threatened to shoot their dogs. When we brought this to ranger johns attention he said," Al has been here a long time and you need to keep him happy." On holiday weekends they are over booked to the point that they have power issues. I couldn't even run a blender!! The week after July 4th I took my camper in for inspection and some service. Two weeks later when it was done I came back to camp to find my seasonal site that I paid for was rented to other campers. Three Valley refused to kick them off my site or to refund my money. Don't waste your time with this place.

It's sad that this could be a great campground. There are walking trails and a heated swimming pool and a pond. Unfortunately with those great things also comes a lot of I'll taken care of permanent trailers. The permanent campers have zero respect for the people staying at the campground. Quiet time is supposed to be 10:00 pm but it seemed for every minute that passed 10:00 the ignorant party goers music got louder and louder, having no respect for the children sleeping in the trailer close by. I am sorry to say that i will never be staying at this campground again and neither will anyone i know!

Pulled in and was immediately yelled at for "spending" when going 6 mph while the speed limit was 10. Got threatened by another camper here that if I didn't slow down a "coffee mug would be thrown at my car." No one smiles at you, and if you don't have a golf cart it's seriously frowned upon to drive around. No one waves, no one smiles. The water and bathrooms, there's no word to describe. Yes there is, eggs. Very unfriendly service including the camp store and "ranger." Considering I personally base everything off of a review, believe me when I say.. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Had a seasonal camp here. Loud, drunks on golf carts, smell of pot being smoked in our area. Pool is not heated. Somebody's camper caught on fire and it took the fire department 40 minutes to find it cause of no emergency prep plan by security. And to top it off if you leave your seasonal site early you get no money back; they just rent it to somebody else and get paid twice for the same thing. Camper beware!!! Far nicer places than this one.

The tone of our weekend was set as soon as we arrived at our cabin. The rent-a-ranger pulled up before we even got out of our cars to tell us we were "flying" down the road. As soon as my daughter noticed the 10 MPH sign I looked at my speedometer - I was going 18. He said we were actually supposed to be going 5 MPH...even though the sign said 10.
The water REEKED and the kitchen had a sink but no faucet! The water smelled so bad that if you took a shower, the cabin stunk for hours. There were mouse droppings in the cookware but in order to get your $100 CASH DEPOSIT back, you had to totally clean the place "for the next arrival." Apparently, campers are also considered staff (unpaid). We aren't slobs by any stretch of the imagination, but when you PAY to stay somewhere for a weekend vacation, you don't usually expect to have to sweep, mop and clean before you leave. WE WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!
