We decided to visit this location as it was not far from our VA home and we have a 11 year old who soon is going to out grow Legos. We checked in on a Tuesday afternoon for a 2 night stay. Check in was easy, we used the computers that were provided in the lobby and there were a couple of helpful employees who assisted if needed and answered a few questions we had in general. We were booked in a Premium Kingdom suite which was cute and well appointed with K cups of both coffee and hot chocolate as well as legos and a puzzle to solve in order to open the treasure chest but it was unlocked any way. Not a huge deal for us but a younger kid may be upset. We attempted to go to the pool earlier but it had reached capacity which we found strange since it only holds 69 people and clearly the hotel can accommodate much more than that. Poor design and feel it definitely could use a 2nd pool as I can imagine the weekends are probably even more busy. (This was a Tuesday afternoon) We came back later and got in and hung out until 7pm. We made reservations for breakfast the next day (although I am not sure why) and dinner the next night. We attempted to order to go at Skyline Bar but the menu for to go was different than the actual menu if we ate there. Food and drinks were expensive but that is on par for most resort places. The next day was spent entirely at the park which was fun but not alot of rides and things to do and we were done after 5 hours. There are plans for other rides and areas that are currently under construction. Everyone we encountered at the park were very pleasant and always told us to have a Bricktastic day! We have been previously to the Legoland in FL so it was hard not to compare. That location did have more rides back in 2012 when we went so it probably has more today. Since we are going to age out soon, we would not be back but not sure if we would even if he was younger. Overall we enjoyed our time but very pricey for everything.

We arrived for our 4:00 checkin and we were told that it may take until after 6:00 PM to get everyone checked in. There was a room full of tired and hungry kids waiting to get into their high priced rooms. It looked like an airport terminal after a delay. We were lucky enough to get into our room pretty quickly but were disappointed to find no bedding on the trundle and an empty "treasure box." The pool was off limits, the Wifi was weak and required signing away all privacy. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls. To top it off, the room was noisy and the shower had no hot water! The kids enjoyed their stay after getting over the checkin debacle and anxiety it produced. I felt badly for the very young reception clerks. They were put into a position a seasoned adult would struggle to handle. I asked why we were not told about the pool or the long checkin period. They claimed that they tried but could not update the website. This hotel is simply not ready to be open. I would not return.

We love this legoland hotel. I felt compelled to write this review as we are still here due to the overwhelming amount of negative reviews…travelled with a 5 and 7 year old. The place is so magical for them. We are staying in a Pirate Room, which is the top floor (4th floor) and kids were very excited about the bunk beds. There’s a trundle too if you need the space. There are Legos in the room which is great (just pray it was lysoled). Scavenger hunt to open the safe was frustrating at first. FYI, it’s 3, 3, 4, 2 if you are in the Pirate room…apparently you don’t count all coins, just “Lego” ones. But the prize is cute…small Lego packet to build.
All the staff is great. Not sure why people say there are none around to help. Check in staff was helpful with helping you use tablets and making dining reservations (it’s uses OpenTable), entertainment staff was hilarious, wait staff at the restaurant was professional and courteous (yes, they have can serve alcohol if you want to indulge), and cleaning staff offered their services when we ran into them in the hallway.
Only reason for knocking a star was the food. It’s included and was all buffet style. We only had dinner so far. If you have kids who love typical “kid food” like Mac and cheese, pizza, pasta, chicken fingers, and French fries, you’re all set. But adults eat mainly that too plus some salads (the mixed one with tomatoes, corn and coquito cheese was surprisingly good). Hoping they can add another meat option that isn’t Fried in the future.
Oh and disco elevator, loooooove! Too bad the longest ride possible is from floor 1 to 4. My kids can ride and dance in there all day lol!

This place is doomed to fail! Theme park is nice, and kids would like it to a degree, but the Hotel is a shame! You’ll pay a third of the price for a room in the city and receive more service. Merlin should be ashamed to be charging the prices to stay at the hotel while employing, shall we say, work release housekeepers and managers who are driven like slaves from what has been seen. When you have a “Hotel Director” cleaning rooms, you have major issues. Believe his name is Scot, should be at the forefront speaking with the hordes of guests waiting in the lobby for hours upon hours and not hiding. On top of that some Loser with major attitude names James is speaking to other staff members like garbage where others can hear! Deplorable! Where do you get these people?!?!! … I will say this, the people at the desk were trying to diffuse situations, Believe Jolanda was her name, was awesome, Kristen and others. but shame on Merlin Ent., to open up such a sh*t show! I among many others will be speaking out against this disaster of a hotel and it’s owners, higher ups, in all social media outlets for sure! Shame!!!

I am shocked that the NY Legoland hotel has any negative reviews! I am so glad I ignored them and went anyways. We went for one night during Christmas vacation and stayed in a standard pirate room. I have nothing but positive things to say about this entire resort. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and helped us at the check-in kiosk. All of the staff was very friendly. The over the top theming is awesome and my kids loved it. As soon as we got to the room and my kids saw the bunk beds they asked if we could come back again. The play area in the lobby is great for younger kids. There were lots of lego building activities going on, character greetings, arts and crafts, and an arcade to keep the kids busy even though Legoland park was closed for the season. Our only complaint is we wish there was an indoor pool(and hot tub!).

We explored each floor to see the different themes. Floor 1 is kingdom, floor 2 is kingdom and Friends, floor 3 is ninjango, and floor 4 is pirates. The disco elevator is also lots of fun. My kids danced every time we got on it.

The scavenger hunt kept us busy a little longer than it probably should have. We had trouble figuring out some of the clues but once we did the kids got their lego prizes inside the safe.

We ate at Bricks for dinner. We made reservation in advance. It was buffet style and was $75 for 2 adults/2 kids before tip. I thought there was plenty of different foods to choose from, nothing fancy but everything was really good and again, I cannot believe so many people left reviews complaining about the food! Even my picky eater found kid-friendly food to eat. The menu for Bricks can be found online but there is more food available than what they list on the website. There is also a menu for Skyline cafe available online. Breakfast at Bricks was also good
with lots of fruit, eggs, bacon, hash browns, pastries, and a waffle bar with tons of toppings. Breakfast was included in our stay.

We will definitely be going back when Legoland park and the outdoor pool opens and trying out another themed room. Compliments to the staff who works really hard and are really friendly!

Tips:
1. Make Brick restaurant reservations in advance
2. If you want to try out the hotel for a discounted rate, go when Legoland park is closed. Our room was only $129 a night with breakfast included

Do NOT stay at this LEGOLAND Hotel!!
Day1: We were told check in starts at 4pm, but did not get into our room until 8:30pm on Monday, 8/16. I was told some other people checked in at close to midnight.
Day2: We waited 40 min for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Everyone was complaining. For people who stay over, your rooms do NOT get cleaned unless you hang a tag asking for this service. WARNING: the tag is missing in some rooms including ours. We had to escalate the request to 2 managers just to get our room cleaned. And of course, the cleaning lady forgot to give us a new bedsheet and left her spray bottle in the room.
Day3: Yet to come…can it get worse than this?

We booked a room in the hotel for early September but I made sure to pay a $50 fee that allowed cancellations up to five days prior to our stay. Mid-August we decided that we could no longer take the trip so I called the hotel to cancel, there is no other way to reach out to them. Several phone calls later, with me sitting on the phone for up to 30 min not a single human being picked up the phone, no way to leave a voicemail, nothing. I was never able to get through to anyone at the resort. This is absolutely insane for any hotel business but especially for one that charges $600 a night. Now I have to go through my credit card company to try and get our money back. Absolutely unacceptable lack of service, I have not idea how they think to survive when they treat their customers this poorly. This hotel should not be in operation if they do not have employees to answer the phone at the front desk.

We booked one night with two days at the amusement park. The park was only OK (1/3 of the rides not operating, no live performances) but the hotel was absolutely awful, and the cost even worse! The rooms are pretty well designed (a separate bunk area for kids) but the pricing is insane ($600 a night in the middle of nowhere?!). Save your money and book a regular hotel nearby. The pool never opened (and it was 92 degrees and humid); the restaurant impossible to book (even though it was never more than half full); there are no phones in the room (only nifty little Google tablets -- useless) and there is no check-in desk, just screens where you're left to figure it out for yourselves, and nothing works. The lobby, though brand new, is dirty and littered. This place is not going to make it, and doesn't deserve to.

Two night visit with three adults and three kids ( 13, 7, 4) . Had two separate rooms for a two night stay . Fairly new Lego themed hotel . Rooms had two separate sleep areas with bunk beds and a king size bed. Wintertime so park was not open yet .
Hotel had events in the afternoon and evening in the lobby for the little ones . Hotel clean and staff albeit minimal and scarce was friendly . You can check yourself in at a kiosk and receive room keys at kiosk too. Received clean towels but beds never made …not sure why. Each themed floor had very long hallways but no signs indicating where elevators were or laundry rooms etc ..frustrating . Biggest costly disappointment was Bricks restaurant . We ate there only first night . My $18 chicken sandwich was literally a lump of dry fried chicken on a sad looking bun with one pickle and piece of lettuce with fries . My $9 Mac n cheese tasted like it was out of a box with bacon bits thrown on top . $25 Pizza seemed like from Dominos .We decided not to even take advantage of their free breakfast in the mornings after that. Went in town to eat instead . Saw other families either ordering DoorDash or going to local diner in Goshen as we did next two days . There was Lego everywhere for the kids to play/ build with and I would say for anyone 10 or younger they were all having fun . The rooms have a treasure chest( with secret code ) holding freebie drinks and free Lego items . Lobby had a giant climb on ( Lego) Pirate ship with a slide and a Castle . There is an arcade and a Lego themed store .
I can’t imagine what it must be like when the theme park is open. The noise level alone in the lobby with the hotel just 1/2 full was incredible . But the young ones seemed to be having a grand time and that’s what it’s all about anyway .

My wife and I took our 6 yo grandson. The breakfast was cold and not a great selection. The dinner menu wss a short selection and over priced. Both nights we went out to a place in Chester called Rustic Wheelhouse which is 8 minutes away. Great food and a kids menu

The room was great and our grandson loved his own section in the Kingdom. The room was very clean. He enjoyed the pool and the PJ party at 8pm

The park was great except for the lines
By 2pm waits were an hour or more. They did offer a reserve and ride pass for $50 to $100. When you're paying $1300 for 2 nights they should include that pass for hotel guests.

Our grandson loved the stay. So for that reason it was eorth the money.
