Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Basically we decided to stay here as pet was accepted, however later we noticed our dog can not run around and we had to keep him like prisoner for a week.
Owner was cooperative and ok, however there was an old man there who was not pleasant to talk to even if he could speak English. Didn’t like 3% surcharge on credit card. Location was ok and between farms, however some nights smell of cows and horses could make it slightly unpleasant.
Room was super dirty and we had to clean it somehow. No fridge, vacuum cleaner or spray to kill insects were provided. Shower was terrible and blocked. It looks like a family home who just run a few cabins as a side business for extra cash like a roommate or flat mate system. Hard to say if we would considering this place again. To be honest they are nice people, but a bit hard to live in this condition.
PS smoke alarm is a must!!!!

DISGUSTING!! WOULD NOT STAY HERE IF IT WAS THE LAST PLACE ON EARTH!
Booked months in advance for a girls hockey team. Not appropriate. Turned up and a private party was happening. Place was absolutely filthy! Hair in bedding and towels, ants in cupboard, mould in fridge, camera in the corner of bedroom with a doll attached saying ‘F$&k you’ written on it. Guest kitchen was filthy! No facilities like what is described and shown in pictures on internet and email discussions. ‘Dining room’ was filthy with filthy washing everywhere, meat defrosting over the table. It was so terrible we packed up 16 girls plus coach and manager and had to find alternative accommodation.
I would not recommend this place!!

Dumped here by Emirates due to a cancelled flight, this is the type of place that u would come for scout camp. To call it basic would be an exaggeration, reception is a badly converted garage that no receptionist sits.Rooms are huts with a kettle microwave and toaster but no shops close by and no facilities in reception. There is a grubby lean too that is possibly for barbecuing in.

Stayed here for one night whilst on holiday in NZ. Shower had the water pressure which resembled a water fountain found in a gym - hot water was non existent.
Told to check out between 10-11am and get our key deposits back... staff were nowhere to be seen so we ended up staying about an hour longer than we intended to just to get our money back.
If you want to eat with anything other than your hands off the floor then bring your own utensils and plates.
Staff were rude on arrival and invisible at check out.
An absolute rip off and would rather sleep in the car

Dumped here bt Jetstar at midnight. Basic cabin with no facilities, table and chairs were cheap outdoor ones. Cupboards were bare with 2 cups, 2 coffee sachets and no teaspoons or milk. Shower was crap and water was either cold or hot with no pressure. Beds were a dbl and single bunk bed so the most uncomfortable sleep which was needed in the 6 hours we were there. I see the tarrif was $150 a night therefore with the shortage of accommodation in Auckland there must had been a reason it was readily available, sort of a last resort?

We were dumped in the Karaka Retreat by Emirates who had cancelled our flight. We arrived at about 0200 in the morning, to find very basic hostel type accommodation. No food was available, except the owner had left out some milk and a loaf of bread. Don't be fooled by the internet description and photographs. If I was a back-packer I might want to stay a night here, but not otherwise. In its favour, the owner did lend me his personal phone to call the airline.

Again dumped by #Emirates. Don’t be fooled by ‘resort’, unless it’s your last one. Basic cabins, no hot water, noisy water pumps and friendly cockroaches. Miles from any amenities and the restaurant was half a loaf of communal bread and an open bottle of milk. Not recommended.

Description of property very misleading. There is no restaurant. There was no breakfast included. Pictures of property also very misleading. The room is actually a small mobile unit that is placed in front yard. They are so close that I had to wear earplugs in order to sleep because I could hear the people in the next unit quite clearly and couldn't sleep. No AC and no fan was provided and it was hot outside and inside. The bathroom has a lift pump to pump all toilet and sink shower water out . Every time you turn on the water or flush the toilet you will hear pump run and there is large sign on toilet that states if you break the pump you will pay for repairs. Water temperature would suddenly go from hot to cold when using shower.

We stayed for a few weeks in a chalet, paid a bond of $350. Hot water in showers poor. Would go freezing cold when in shower. Jug faulty. Kitchen facilities are an outside bbq area covered roof top and four point electric plug for a microwave jug and toaster. Dangerous when it rains. No smoke alarms in chalets. Toilet systems blocks all the time. Poor communication with owners. They refused to give me my bond back. Will lodge small claims against them.
