Spent a week here last month for work and couldn't have had a better stay.
Great stay from check-in to checkout and a very friendly and engaging staff
Special shout out to Wanda of the front desk staff! Her bubbly personality was just what a guest needed after a long day at work.
Room was on the backside of the hotel facing the airport. I was concerned at first about airport noise but I didn't hear a peep all week.
Room was great complete with a kitchenette for cooking a four course meal if desired.
Living area/work space offered enough space to put work papers out if needed.
Bedroom was clean each day when I came back from work. Room closet was almost as big as what I have at home. I was able to hang a weeks worth of clothes with room to spare.
Bathroom was the gem of my suite. Large sink and vanity and a shower that had been recently updated with good water pressure and hot water that DID NOT run out in the middle of showering.
My one suggestion to management: Why not put all guests with pets on one floor?

First off the staff is so generous & have accommodated anything that was needed to suit our needs for a perfect room. Rooms are setup great, breakfast is good, housekeepers take there time & go above there way to keep the rooms clean, the shuttle can take you anywhere in 5 ML radius which is great & the drivers are so sweet & patient. My family has been blessed to stay here .
The front desk employees Melissa Wanda Equasia Nicola Paula Brandon Javon & Sales manager Regina & Manager Leann have made my stay very pleasant & I will always return . If you would like to feel at home come here.

Stayed here for a week on business last month and left in total awe of the hotel staff.
Melissa of the front desk staff saved my trip after I missed a turn in a rain storm at night.
Melissa texted me directions from where I was.
Later in the week I was in a hurry and left my wallet sitting on the front desk. I never would have noticed it was missing as Wanda called my cell phone to say I had left it on the front desk and she would hold on to it until I got back to the hotel.
Crisis adverted.
Slept well all week even with barking doghadn't a shower that was to die for. Shower was large enough for two and had great water.
pressure with hot water that never ran out.
Breakfast staff was impressive as well constantly filling the hot bar items as they ran out or got low.
The kitchenette was wonderful and came with all the same comforts of home.
There is a Wal-Mart in the shopping center next door for any items a person might need.
Hotel shares a shuttle with the Courtyard across the parking lot that will run guests anywhere within 5 miles of the hotel.
Don't be scared with Republic Airport as a neighbor. Noise was non existent the entire week I was there.
Job well done Marriott.

As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I have stayed at many a Marriott property (including many nice / updated Towneplace Suites) and this might be the worst hotel (Marriott or otherwise) that I have ever stayed at.
Picked the location as it's <1 mile to my boyfriend's new client, however one night here was enough to know we would rather stay 30+ minutes away than ever return here.
Overall the hotel has not been updated or kept in good condition for quite some time, with some rooms having visibly ripped window screens - large enough that a child could fall out of them sized rips - and more wear and tear than a hotel at this price point should have. Hilarious to have room keys talking about partnerships with Elfa closet systems and Weber grills, when this property has neither feature.
Outside of the poor condition of the hotel itself – including stripped wooden vanity, splotches of IDK what on the TV frame, sticky floors, trash strewn about the property, random holes in the wall and a noxious odor of bleach and perfumed cleaning supplies to attempt to cover the pungent and pervasive smell of weed throughout the hotel – the workers and other guests are loud and inconsiderate. For instance, as I write this review and trying to work from the hotel room, there is consistently LOUD banging and drilling on my walls. If construction is to take place in the room adjacent to me, a heads up and an offer to move rooms should be second nature to a real hotel management team.
There's a Courtyard next door that may be nicer, but unless you HAVE to stay this close to anything nearby, I'd advise travelers to seek other options.
Having a (tiny) view of the nearby airport through the one small window in our room is maybe the only nice thing I can say about this place. And it's quite telling that the sound of a Learjet taking off next door is more peaceful than the noises inside this place.

Third time I've stayed at this hotel for work in the area and am pleased to report that I had another outstanding stay!
Great location for getting to where I needed to be.
From check-in to check-out, the staff was very engaging and attentive.
A big shout out to the breakfast staff who busted their butts to keep the area clean and the hot foods filled.
Room was in great shape as it had been remodeled and freshly painted.
Kitchenette was almost as big as the one at home. Kitchenette came with all the necessary cookware and utensils to cook for four people if needed.
Full size refrigerator was a bonus as well so I could shop at the Wal-Mart in the shopping center next door.
Living/ common area was large enough to spread out work papers if needed in an organized manner.
Bed was comfortable with more than enough pillows and blankets. Slept well both weeks I was there except the first weekend when the couple in the next room had to continually confess in loud voices their affection for each other.
The highlight of my room was the recently renovated bathroom and the shower that NEVER changed pressure mid shower and didn't run out of hot water.
The hotel also shares a shuttle with the Courtyard across the parking lot that will take guests anywhere they need to go within five miles of the hotel.

The property called a couple days before asking if they could 'upgrade' me from a queen bed room with sofa bed to a king bed room without a sofa bed. I agreed as we did not need the sofa bed and the larger bed would be nice. I'm not used to the call in advance but as a longtime Titanium member, I am used to enjoying some nice upgrades.
Unfortunately, this room was a downgrade. The bed was definitely not a king sized bed. I asked the front desk about it when I checked out and they said the bed was a 'studio king' I googled out of curiosity to see what the dimensions of that would be. There doesn't appear there is a such thing as a 'studio king' bed. The bed size was misrepresented.
Cleanliness was fair. Marriott status was not acknowledged. We stopped by the front desk one night and the staff member was on the phone complaining about another staff member spending too much time in the office rather than focusing on the fact guests were waiting at the desk. Overall the stay was fine for one night but I will look for something else next time I am in the area.

Pluses: Great bagels for breakfast and (for me) seeing the planes at the small airport behind the hotel. The people who worked there seemed nice. I mentioned some of the issues below and they took a bit off the price of the rooms.
Negative: Maybe this hotel is still recovering from the financial strain of COVID restrictions. I don't know. My guess - they cut back on maintenance or maybe never had a robust maintenance schedule. The air conditioning in the public spaces didn't seem to be working - it had to be high 70s / low 80s during our entire 5 day stay. I was told the air conditioning was being looked it. The bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. The overhead light in the bathroom flickered and then turned off. The shower drained slowly so you were standing in water during a shower. The desk light didn't work. My group had two rooms and the issues were the same in each room. My unit smelled heavily of Frebreeze. The air conditioning smelled - maybe needed cleaning? The bathroom moulding fell off as I was brushing my teeth. It was not the Marriot experience I expected.

Upon arrival and departure, staff was attentive. The hotel was clean in most areas, except I did see some pieces of trash in the hallways on the way to the room. The room was immaculate and good for our one night stay. When you unfolded the sofa bed, it met the regular bed, so you couldn't walk through and had to "jump" over. The small kitchen area was nice, but we didn't have a use for it. The walls are thin, so if you have loud neighbors, you can hear their conversations. And sadly, someone called the cops on the person in the room next to us for stealing money. How'd we know - again, because you can hear everything. So we were woken up by all the commotion, and it kept us up for about an hour...not the hotels fault. The free breakfast was fine to hold us over until lunch - Oatmeal, omlettes, vegetarian breakfast sandwiches, Bagels, muffins, coffee, juice, milk, etc. You are located on a busy road, so it can get loud. Regardless, I will be visiting Farmingdale on a regular basis in the coming years, and would probably stay again.

I'm not sure if these reviews that I'm reading, the guests stayed at the same property that I did. My stay was nothing but pure awesomeness. It began with my Administrative Assistant having the anxiety task of booking my room and she knows exactly what I like and how precise I am about where I put my head to rest. I had her change 3 different reservations that were previously booked and I finally decided on the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Republic Airport Long Island/Farmingdale.

This place is a dump. Motel 6 quality. Dirty. Dated. Filthy old college dorm-like furniture. It looks like a 6 year old painted and caulked the bathroom. Bed was old, springy and no support. HVAC units oversized for bedrooms, so it’s either too hot or too cold. The only good thing about the hotel was the pleasant front desk staff, especially Dominique. She’s Marriott brand quality in a Motel 6 quality facility.
