To me, this is a motel that includes breakfast. A motel where you park your car in front of your room. To me, an Inn is something else. Room was clean, grounds were beautiful and the food was great. But it was a motel , not an Inn Incase that is important to you.

Response from Tina M, Owner at The Meadowlark Inn
Responded 12 Aug 2019
Bob, We are glad that you and your friends had a nice weekend. We are sorry if you feel we misrepresented ourselves. We try to describe exactly the type of lodging we are on our website. We have included many photos of our entire property so that people know exactly what we are before they check-in. We try to go out of our way to make people feel comfortable. We have provided an indoor and outdoor living space for the comfort of our guests with many additional extras to make it as homey as possible. Btw, from dictionary.com: Inn - a commercial establishment that provides lodging, food, etc., for the public especially travelers; a small hotel. Sincerely, George & Tina Macaluso

We stayed here while attending the opera at the Glimmerglass Festival. Perhaps the best thing about the Meadowlark is the breakfast, served by the resident managers in a comfortable dining area. The motel is directly on Route 20 only minutes from the Festival. I am in a wheelchair and was told the motel was accessible. There is a ramp at the far end of the motel with a loose board or two. The room had a bathroom with bars around the toilet, but the shower required my climbing over a fairly deep bathtub - not possible. Rt 20 late at night is very quiet and we enjoyed a good night's sleep.

Perfect for our little 6-8 person family reunion. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Owner Tina (we never met George) was a wonderful source of information about Cooperstown- especially for the Dreams Park youth baseball activities, and for local restaurants. Two nearby restaurants she steered us to were better than the pricey, noisy places in Cooperstown. There is a large back yard with a gazebo with grill and comfortable seating, and a nearby fire pit which was perfect for an evening get-together. Included breakfast was fine. The only negative was sketchy cell phone reception except for Verizon carrier.

My husband and I chose Meadowlark after reading the reviews on TA. I can understand all the positive feedback. The inn was a comforting respite after traveling all day. Our room was large and yet had a cozy feel to it. Both the main room and the bathroom was immaculate. The bathroom is a very good size. The beds were comfortable. We had no complaints at all with our room. The lobby/dining area is decorated in a way that says "welcome". The continental breakfast was very good. We had the choice of fresh cut fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, pastries, nice breads, bagels and English muffins. I was offered a homemade Belgian waffle and I have to say it was the best I have ever had. The owner is lovely. We asked her advice on where to eat dinner for our anniversary and she had a folder available with all the menus as well as recommendations on her favorites, according to what we were looking for. She also called a few places for us to make sure they were open. Meadowlark is 11 miles from Cooperstown and is in a fairly rural area. We loved it and had no problem driving the 11 miles, but you may want to keep that in mind if you want to stay right where the action is. To us it was no big deal. In fact we loved the quiet for sleeping. I would highly recommend this lovely inn. My quick phone pictures do not do it justice.

Owners Tina and George make this Inn a great experience! It is 15 minutes outside of Cooperstown. The rooms are big and clean, the baseball field n the back is great and the gazebo and fire pit are wonderful. My family of 14 love the beauty and peacefulness. This was our 2nd year there and we have already booked for next year. Highly recommend it!
