Came here to meet my son for a trip to the city in late November. Getting to the hotel from Laguardia is a piece of cake, it's that close. I chose this Marriott because of it's proximity to the airport and the reliability of the brand. It delivered on both those points. The lobby was spacious and comfortable, with an open lounge area and bar where hot breakfast is served in the morning. First thing I got into the hotel, I plopped down at the bar which is centrally located right in the lobby and the attendant poured me a cold draught with a smile. Boy that went down good. We made it up to the room and found our accommodations to be comfortable, clean and spacious as well as satifyingly up to date. The only downside was our trip into the city at night. We had to take a bus to the number 7 train and that was a haul. If my sole intention was to use this hotel as a stopoff point to get into Manhattan I wouldn't stay in this location. That's not the hotel's fault. If you need a good, well serviced clean hotel at a reasonable price that's close to the airport this is it. There's a Hampton Inn across the street that may be cheaper but we got a good deal on this and it's much nicer in my opinion. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and patient with my questions about getting around town. You can't go wrong here other than the distance to the city if you need to go into Manhattan. Hello ketobeach, And thanks for your really great review of our Hotel. We strive to provide up to date clean, spacious accommodations in a comfortable environment close to the airport , all for good value. You are 100% right . We are, undeniably, 9.2 miles from Times sqyare , the center of Manhattan and if someone would rather not take public transportation, such as you chose to do, r $5.50 round trip per person( about 45 minutes typically), they could always use a car service for $47.00 all-in one way or Uber/ Lyft which typically runs about $40.00 non-peak. I'm glad that you enjoyed a cold draft beer upon arrival and that it was really satisfying. Whenever I travel, I also appreciate a good selection of domestic, local and imported draft beers . We currently feature 8-10 but have capacity for up to 16 so we frequently pour, even more. I'll check out your YouTube Hotdog vendor video and I hope to meet you personally during a future stay. The Marriott at LaGuardia Airport is an aging building that's been updated and refreshed. Marriott has incorporated many concepts that seem fresh from a consulting firm - some work, some do not.

The rooms are reasonably updated, but at the typical Marriott rooms. The views are uninteresting.

The service is trained and relatively good. The front desk staff was actually genuinely helpful and took some appreciated extra steps to assist.

The biggest disappointment was the restaurant. Whoever thought of the stupid concept should be smacked. Their restaurant is really just a bar. Their tables are small and frankly designed for the lonely business traveller eating by themselves, or for two people with nothing but cocktails. A table to fit three?!? You have to sit way on the other side in the lobby lounge. While exiled in the lounge you'll not get menus, flatware or water. We asked for napkins and got the little square napkins that go under a beer. The food takes forever - so to pass the time one can count the number of times the courtesy bus arrives and departs. Fun times! And then the food? Meh. Some was good. Some was barely passable. All of it was way overpriced for the prefab fare they serve,

Aside from the restaurant which was just painfully mis-designed, the hotel is comfortable.

I have stayed here on 2 separate occasions. Front desk acknowledges my loyalty. Customer service is excellent . Rooms are clean . Can be noisy at times depending on if events are going on . Free shuttle to and from the airport . Convenient & safe location. Never a problem with the elevators. The restaurant is average (although the French onion soup and drinks are above average). Hot breakfast in the morning for $20.00 is not worth it (exact breakfast you get for free at residence Inn) . Staff is attentive . I would return .

Your brand Loyalty is very important to us and you deserve to be recognized for it. In fact our top (3) tier BonVoy members are given MClub access which not only included free breakfast but lots of other snacks, perks and goodies. In the meantime, until you are able to achieve that level, I have taken your comments to heart ( for you and others) and our chef and I will look for ways to add better value to our breakfast buffet offering. I'm glad you enjoyed our clean rooms, friendly service and our speedy, efficient elevators which you found to your liking. I know that whenever I personally travel, inefficient elevators can be a bother and we are pleased that ours are modernized and efficient. The front desk the lady with the glasses was yelling on the phone.
We stayed the night because our flight was early and didn't want to go through a nail bitting drive to catch our plane. The room had some kind of oil or lotion in large streaks as well on the bathroom floor. I slipped and my husband caught me and he felt himself slip. We notified the desk and when we got back from what they called our dining experience which was hamburger and a ruben with way too many fries. I was looking forward to a real meal not pub food with terrible service. I walked around and sat at four tables befor there was a clean one. and for $300. we had to pay for wifi for each device so we had to pay for each laptop and the phone fee. On my very first trip to NYC, I stayed near La Guardia in Queens. I had no idea what to expect. The staff at this hotel set the tone and started my newfound LOVE of New York!
The staff is beyond friendly. From the front desk to the restaurant (excellent food - the Rueben is outstanding) to the F&B (Sirdan is my man!) staff, you cannot go wrong with this hotel.
The hotel managerJeff, and his wife Amanda, made a point of coming by during our seminar to introduce themselves and to make sure we had everything we needed. This was especially impressive when you understand that our function served less than thirty people over three days, while the hotel was also hosting a weeklong event featuring a major sports broadcasting network that took up several convention rooms on two floors and had hundreds of people in attendance! We were still treated like we were every bit as important.
The guest rooms are beautiful, modern, and comfortable. The hotel is older, and because I stayed during COVID19, many amenities were unavailable or limited. Housekeeping was limited to every three days so I can't speak to that, I can only say that the room was sparkling on check-in.
I would highly recommend this hotel for any event for business. I also think it would be beautiful for a wedding reception or a formal party!

As a frequent traveler and Gold Elite member, my recent stay at New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott left me utterly disappointed and frustrated. I had high expectations, considering my loyalty to the brand, but unfortunately, my experience fell far below standards.

Upon requesting a simple hot cup of water with three lemon slices, I was livid by the rude and disrespectful attitude of the restaurant staff. Despite my willingness to pay for the lemon slices, I was met with laughter and disdain. The lack of professionalism displayed by the staff member was unacceptable.

Seeking assistance from the front desk, I was dismayed to find no managerial presence. Instead, another staff member intervened, essentially pleading with the restaurant staff on my behalf. It was disheartening to witness such unprofessionalism within the establishment.

The incident escalated further when I was unexpectedly asked to check out of my room by a manager, adding unnecessary embarrassment to an already unpleasant situation. This level of incompetence and disrespect is unacceptable, particularly for a loyal Gold Elite member.

In all my years of traveling, I have never encountered such blatant disregard for customer service. My experience atNew York LaGuardia Airport Marriottwas not only disappointing but also embarrassing and frustrating. I urge potential guests to reconsider their choice of accommodation and to avoid the disrespectful treatment I endured.

Stayed at the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott before our early flight in September 2022. A very convenient location. However, the bed smelled like cigarettes in a non-smoking room. Also, no one told us there will be a charge of about $15 for internet use. Just popped up on our credit card statement. Sneaky!

Property is updated and decent but you won’t sleep a wink. Hotel sits right on the highway and the traffic roars by all night long. Windows are not insulated and don’t block the traffic noise. Beds are soft, pillows are lumpy, and the worst part is the fake air conditioning controls. I have had the thermostat on 66 all night and the room temp has not dropped below 70 degrees. As a frequent business traveler I carry my own temperature gage just to see if the air controls are fake. This one obviously is. Also no concierge lounge. I definitely won’t be back to this property.

Just visited for a sports tournament. We had a FANTASTIC experience. The front desk staff, specially Julie made our stay even better with her warm welcome and professionalism. The staff at Ditmars Grill was also very attentive and seemed happy to help and I could tell they wanted to provide a great experience to the guests. Jaime was great! He took our order on our first day and our kids had forgotten and ipod case, and he made sure to get it back to us. They offer a nice breakfast buffet over the weekend but it's a la carte during the week. I preferred the convenience of the breakfast buffet over a la carte.

Overall the staff there was very attentive. The hotel as well as our room were maintained very clean, whomever did the housekeeping for our room did an excellent job keeping it clean and smelling fresh, specially after coming back from being out in the sun all the day. Thank you to the staff at Marriott LaGuardia! Would definitely recommend but make sure to try and get the package that includes breakfast and parking!

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 20 years. Clearly it has deteriorated without much attention to detail. Do not be fooled by the façade which looks modern and new. Once you get past the lobby it becomes clear that this hotel has not been upgraded or renovated in many years. The chipped and cracked paint on the elevator doors, the outdated carpeting in the hallways lead to dark and dreary rooms with outdated furniture. Only the bathrooms look like they were recently redone. The service from the front desk to the food service is nothing but average. Stay elsewhere and save your money

Here are some options for transportation service between JFK Airport and the Marriott LaGuardia: If you are driving your own car: Take I-678 N to Grand Central Pkwy to NY-25A W/Northern Blvd. Take exit 9W from Grand Central Pkwy. Hello, Taxi's are generally not your best bet as there is no taxi stand and while they can be called, meters are sensitive to traffic, surge pricing and tolls are added on. Alternatively, use a car service which offers a flat rate including tolls for about $45.00 or less or a ride share service like Uber, Lyft or Juno if you have the App and the ride should run about $40.00

I was inside the hotel in meetings all day, plus dinner meeting that ended late at night so I can't comment on the surrounding area but I never felt unsafe.
