I was a bit leary after reading some of the reviews about this hotel, but decided to take a chance and was glad I did. I also need to leave a review on the Marriott website as well. This hotel was very nice!! It was nicely decorated and very hip and modern (most Aloft's are). The best thing was that they have a free shuttle to the airport in the morning (Laguardia).

I got off my cruise, got to the hotel and was utterly exhausted!!! Only had a few hours of sleep the night before and cruise disembarked at 7:30 to 8am. I was praying in my ride there that they would have an available room, since it is an airport hotel. Thank God, my prayers were answered. Imagine how happy I was when the very helpful front clerk said I could check in immediately. I took my stuff upstairs, printed my boarding pass, had a delicious breakfast in the lobby restaurant then collapsed upstairs. Some of the reviews had reported airport noise, etc. but I did not have this issue. My room was in the very front of the hotel. My room was spacious and had these awesome light-blocking shades. Modern but cozy and good use of space in the bathroom area.
I cannot say enough good things about the staff there. They were lifesavers in assisting me in getting back to Midtown later to do some sightseeing. I was unsure how far away the closest subway station was (east elmhurst) but when I explained what I wanted to do, they said, instead of going all through that, we have a driver that can take you closer into town and just take the subway from there. I think we paid the driver 15.00 or so and plan went off without a hitch. They also came and picked us up from the same subway station when we were done.
They went ABOVE and beyond to help us out, as we were first time visitors, even how to buy the best/cheapest subway pass for one day.

The common area had a large variety of snack, foods, drinks, fruits, salads, sandwiches for purchase if you did not have time to eat at the restaurant. Very well lit and clean. The bar area was nice as well. I will stay here anytime in the future if I am using Laguardia airport.

Good location near LaGuardia. Shuttle driver very helpful and engaging. Check in staff very personable. Hotel is Marriott's recent efforts to fashion in a “hip-like” contemporary style. Which means a sterile, minimalist-like nature devoid of any human feeling to it. The room chairs were simply there and not comfortable for anyone under 6 feet tall, which probably means most women and some men (like me). The closet was arranged for hanging clothes front to back rather than side to side. That meant plowing through other clothes to get to what you need if it was in the back. Whoever designed it never had to use it. (An unfortunate fact found in too many instances of fashion over function.) The bed & pillows were comfortable. The luggage platform was good by having space for 2 bags. The restaurant was overpriced and underwhelming. Way too much food for one person. The chicken parm had little taste until I added a little salt and pepper. The pot roast was some sort of shredded meat that was probably for a sandwich. It was piled on a surprisingly tasty sauce and the mashed potatoes were very good. Service was very good. Breakfast was available but we ate at the airport due to time concerns. Courtesy shuttle to airport is on the half-hour starting at 4:30 am.

I’ve always enjoyed staying at this ALoft hotel when I’m in the area or catching an early flight out of LaGuardia the next morning. Today it added this nice surprise:
A pleasant surprise when I got to my hotel after working all morning and into early afternoon — Good Eats Bistro was open and I had this awesome burger prepared by Mark. Not only did Mark prepare it to order (a juicy Medium/Medium Rare), it was fantastic with very tasty fries. This was an unexpected surprise when I thought I’d have to get another food delivery or take a hired car in order get some good food promptly. Thanks Good Eats Bistro!!

This was a very convenient hotel to LaGuardia airport. Although they offer a shuttle service, you can actually walk here in 5 minutes from Terminal C.

I was very warmly greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff and assigned to a quiet and comfortable room on the fourth floor. The room was spotless and had all the high-quality Aloft furnishings.

The bar had a great happy hour 2-for-1 special and $5 bar bites when I was there. John, the bartender, made everyone feel welcome. The Good Eats bistro was convenient if you need a quick bite, however I felt that the food quality could have been improved.

I highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay near LaGuardia Airport.

Flew into LaGuardia to meet friends and booked an overnight stay at Aloft. First impressions: clean facility, friendly staff, and great customer service.
Room was modest, yet clean.
We stayed on second floor looking at park & fly parking. Had to draw shades to room after entering as people walking in the sidewalk could look right into the room. I would recommend asking for a higher floor.
It was surprising to me how quiet the room was being so close to the airport.
Front desk staff was very helpful.
The hotel shuttle to the airport runs every 1/2 hour and the driver is helpful and courteous.

The reason I stayed here was easy access to the airport for a flight boarding at 5:20am. The shuttles only run every 30 minutes, which is silly considering how close the hotel is to the airport. At that hour, I wasn't going to try to catch a shuttle at 4:30am. The walk took 7 minutes. I wouldn't do it mid-winter or if it was pouring rain. Otherwise it was easy. Exit hotel on floor 2, go up to sidewalk and turn left. At a traffic circle/intersection, cross over to a bridge and turn left. Go straight to terminal by walking around to the left of the parking garage. That section of Terminal C is closed but keep walking and you'll find the current entrance. Very easy.

We did a park, sleep and fly with overnight at the begining and end of our trip. Overall it was mostly an excellent experience. Positive points--the bed is comfortable, the ventilation works well and is quiet (more later), airport shuttle is efficient, the restaurant is good, staff is pleasant. There very little noise on either side of the building long as you lower the shades.
The parking is limited, but the manager made sure my parking location was ok. Although I had 7 nights parking, there are no in and out privileges . We were going out for dinner the 1st night if I left the car for 2 hrs (over 30min). it was going to be $18. I was able to find street parking near the hotel for the few hours. The heating/cooling works well, but there should be instructions near the controller. We needed to ask for help to adjust the temperature. Once we understood the system it was fine. The restaurant is pleasant, but isn't connected so food can't be charged to the room. Previously mentioned the lighting is inadequate in the room. There is a window in the shower/toilet that allows light into the room. Leaving a light at night in the bathroom is very disturbing. Adding a shade outside the window would solve the issue. It seems like a sensless design.

This hotel is dirty and smells like crap. The front desk folks are rude and the food in the cafe is gross! Ceiling has water damage and looks like it’s about to cave in at any moment. The only two decent things were the free airport shuttle and the laundry room where the washer and dryer were clean and not too expensive. Go somewhere else!

When I go to the airport, I headed to the Aloft New York LaGuardia Airport hotel.
As soon as I got there I went shopping at Sunglass Hut after her I went for a night cruise in New York harbor accompanied by a coctail.
The next day I went to Liberty State Park. I don't go by pedestrians to find out more about New York.

I had my cofee at Sorrentine Cafe & Bar.
After its noon I went to the Carminés Italian Restaurant, I got a chicken marsala which is a tiramisu then a fresh fruit platter.

If I would go back to New York I woudl like to take another cruise to see the Statue of Liberty, also make a private visit a guide to better discover New York and also discover new taste flavors, change hotels and visit museums.
This will allow me to know New York much better.

We recently flew into LaGuardia for a cruise ship trip out of Brooklyn, and we opted to stay at this location due to previous positive experiences at other Aloft properties. After retrieving our luggage, I contacted the hotel and requested the hotel shuttle which arrived within 10 minutes. The hotel is located across from the airport on the other side of Grand Central Parkway. The hotel lobby was modern, clean & comfortable, and the Front Desk staff were very friendly. There is a bar and restaurant located on the first floor. We took advantage of the bar’s happy hour and had dinner at the bar. The food we had was very good and reasonably priced. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Since the hotel is located across the highway from the airport, I was concerned about jet noise; however, we never heard any noise during the night. We had a great experience during our stay and would hesitate staying here again the next time we visit New York.
