We are a campground in a country setting with scenic rolling hills and small ponds. We have over 350 sites with water and electric. Some remote sites available. Our campground offers many activities on weekends. We offer paddle and row boats on our pond. A small catch and release fish pond. There is an outdoor swimming pool. We do have some rental campers and cabins on site available most weekends. We are only 5 miles off interstate 390 exit #4 or #5. We hope to see you soon!

We have been camping at Skybrook for over 15 years and have always had a great experience. My Mother-in-law has been a seasonal camper for decades and loves it there. While I agree that there are a lot of fellow campers that like to throw a few beverages back, I would have to disagree that there are no family friendly activities. The campground hosts a ton of different events geared towards younger kids. Anything from arts and crafts, bingo, to hayrides, ice cream socials, pool and playground, etc. We generally prefer sites Q&R and the campground allows us to put our small camper on their tent sites as these particular sites are the farthest away from all of the campground hot spots. We have always gone with family and our kids are not only familiar but comfortable and feel safe as the majority of campers are seasonals. The only complaint I have is trying to book our site. I called the office today and was put on hold for over an hour and 15 minutes. Eventually someone took me off hold and then had a full-on conversation with whomever was in the office. Meanwhile, I was screaming HELLO trying to get someone's attention and no one responded. Please do better Skybrook. Either let the potential camper know the office is busy and you will return their call or have additional staff to man the phones. Not only could I have driven there in the time I sat on hold, but to have someone pick up and then ignore the fact I just wasted over an hour waiting, is unacceptable. Please value others time and be considerate. Other than this experience, we do really enjoy this campground and hope our upcoming camping experience is a bit smoother than the frustration of trying to get someone on the phone.

As I was reading some of the past bad reviews of Skybrook campground, the first thought that came to mind was " they realize it's supposed to be like camping right"? It's true that on holiday weekends the campground is so crowded you might not be able to run a blow dryer and microwave at the same time in your camper...big deal. My husband and I started out renting campers there with our four children a couple times a season. Our kids loved the activities and we had a great time making friends with the locals. Making friends with the seasonal campers is why we decided to buy a camper and make Skybrook a second home. We all look forward to the weekends to see our friends and have a nice time. It really is a small community of neighbors and friends. I have NEVER seen a child or teenager with a cigarette or alcohol and if I did their parents would immediately be informed. We leave our cooler on the deck with a mix of beer, soda, and capri sun and it hasn't been touched by anyone but us. Management has updated bathrooms every year and plans to continue to do so. I have heard they might even put in a new playground. There is always some organized activity going on Every weekend. Just checkout the website to see if its something you'll like. Usually it's a mix of children activities and adult activities. I even saw the start of a softball field this past weekend. In my opinion we have it better than most.

Thank you! It is always nice to hear when we are doing a good job at Skybrook. It is so hard to please everyone of course. We do our best but we are always open for suggestions. Thanks again for some good feedback !

We first went in 1993 and my kids were young. It was fantastic and there were kid activities with employee supervision and family involvement. We continued on and off for 15 years, the last 4 year stent was every year and all the big holidays.

We knew many if the seasonal sand regulars and they are friendly and clicky as other reviews indicate. Heck even the band and DJ's cater to the regulars (yes that included us)

But as a parent I grew up. I was divorced and remarried and had young ones again. The drinking and profanity are bad, when curfews aren't able to be enforced. Also, the kids nowadays (due to parents) are let loose to entertain themselves. In my early years my kids did too- but it was volleyball, freeze tag and other such fun that included all kids.
Now it's cooler hoppin(beer from drunk peoples coolers), smoking and worse. Muchworse. The golf carts are decked out like status symbols and adults that walk are a minority. The drinking and shenanigans are way too much for our family. It's gotten way out of hand in my opinion.

The Skybrook of yester year always brings a smile to my face and I am glad it still continues to be a campground. It is a great location with lots of space for camping. But huge trailers, golf carts and decks quickly make newbies unwelcome and outsiders.
It's hard work for them to integrate particularly if they don't drink or stay up until 3 am.
Not a place for young ones for sure. It WAS. But it's not.

This doesn't mean you can't make a fine weekend camping here because you can. Just be prepared for noise, profanity and partying rednecks from sun up to sun up! Hey that suited me at one time but not now.
It never suited my kids but at one time I was too selfish to care. Now I do.

It is very hard as times do change. We do have a lot of repeat campers that camped as a child and now come back to camp as an adult. We really can not tell our campers how to talk or act unless they are endangering someone or themselves. We can, how ever, ask them not to come Back to camp and to find another campground . Which has been done. We try to have activities for all ages on different weekends. We usually go with the activities that have the best turn out and eliminate the activities that do not get much response. Unfortunately, the Bingo, crafts and volleyball have fallen to the wayside. We have tried volleyball tournaments without success over the past several years. We do hold Bingo and crafts on the 3 major Holidays. That is the only time we have a good turn out. We have several horseshoe tournaments through out the summer. People like to dance and sing more these days. We do tend to have several bands and karaoke on weekends now to accommodate the many campers that enjoy those activities. We are always open for suggestions on activities.

After spending a bunch of weekends here summer 2019 and every weekend here since open 2020 we decided to buy a camper they had available! This is a fantastic place for my family to enjoy. Tons of fun things for the kids to do all day. Wonderful sites shaded and sunny great pool, rec hall, fishing playgrounds and so much more! I am very excited to spend as much of my summers here as possible for many years to come. The staff has been amazing. We had ONE issue EVER here with a staff member and it was literally addressed immediately by the owners... Sue and Randy are fantastic. My husband has been coming here since he was young and I am so glad we chose to buy this RV! Cheers!

We rented a cabin for a girls getaway weekend and were harassed by the so called manager Kira to the point that she followed us and threatened to come back to our cabin and beat the crap out of me. All because a friend of ours was having a batchlorette party in the pavilion that she rented and Kira didn’t want us there because she has some sort of weird vendetta against me. So when I had had enough and told her to bring it on we get banned from the campsite. This is bull crap when my aunt has had a permanent site there and we go there all the time for
The last 10 years. I think it is horrible business when they let there 19 year old manager get drunk and then harass guests. I would not recommend this place to anyone after how they treated us when we weren’t hurting anyone just trying to have a nice girls weekend.

They moved us from the spots that we specifically reserved, and said it is their policy that they can move us if they want. Most sites have little to no shade and are in the sun all day. The sites were not level. because ground sloped in three different directions. We have been camping for 15 years and it took us two hours to level our RV. We had to put the truck in 4WD to park the camper. The electric was horrible. We couldn’t run the electric hot water heater and a/c at the same time. Running the microwave and a/c tripped the breakers. They allow people to drive side by sides around and the people were driving them around constantly, while drinking alcohol. We will not camp here again. Sun Valley campground over the bill is a much better camping experience!

Terrible campground. When we arrived we couldn’t find the office to checkin so we called them. We told the girl where we were and she didn’t know where it was. That should have been our first clue that this was not a good situation. It turned out we just needed to go down the hill to the office. Then it took us 2 hours to find a campsite that would accommodate our 39 foot RV. We changed sites twice, first one only had water and the second one our leveling jacks sunk down the ground was so soft and broke our leveling pads. There were seasonal campers that raced around on ATV’s. Interior roads had huge potholes. Would never stay there again.

Seniority rules in this place. People from office are seen drinking and yelling. Screaming profanities and only correcting people they don't know. It seems if you are not friends with the owners you have to walk on eggshells. This should be a business being ran...not a party land spot for campers. Everyone who pays anything should be treated equal. I might never come back and I might just have to report all the code violations. Owners shouldn't care who is who. Its a business...business be for pleasure and friends is the best advice I can give to the staff. I couldn't believe how crazy the staff gets with their campers.

At the last minute, we decided to visit the New York State Balloon Festival in Dansville, NY. The closest campground was Skybrook. We were actually surprised they had room left on Labor Day Weekend! We are a family of 5, with kids ranging from 11months to 6 years old. We have a 31 foot motor home and they said they had a "Premium" site available with 30amps, water, but no sewer. When we got there, our site was on a hill. We adjusted the position of our RV the best we could. After hooking up everything we realized we weren't getting any power. We couldn't even run a toaster! By first light, we drained our batteries down to nothing and our fridge was off! Each day we had to run our generator for 2-3 hours just to get through the night! Furthermore, we were told that NO ONE at the campground was allowed to run AC or electric water heaters b/c the campground can not handle the needs. (BTW it was about 90 degrees each day!) The two other weekend campers next to us also had next to NO power! However the seasonal campers beside us had numerous neon signs, christmas lights, and flatscreens running with no problems! Because there was no AC, the small pool at the campground was completely mobbed! It was not at all clean and also was uncomfortable with the 40+ year olds rubbing up and down each other. The fishing derby that took place was advertised as an "event" was in a quaint fishing hole, but you could only fish off one side of it! If they did some upkeep on it, that would have been a memorable event! Skybrook seems proud of its 8 playgrounds, but it's nothing more than a few broken swings, empty sandboxes, and a teeter totter from the 70s. We brought the bikes for our kids but the hilly terrain and lack of any paved areas didn't allow for them to ride it. (Older kids seemed to manage over the hills and on the dirt roads.)There was also more traffic than we have ever seen at any other campground! Not only cars constantly driving in and out, but golfcarts were flying through as well. There was trash everywhere! It is clear that this campground is for the seasonal campers and not the weekend campers. We felt like we walked into a townie bar, uninvited.

Travelled 3400 miles to go to the great Curveball festival at WGI this weekend. Mother Nature had other plans for us. All of the water in the sky from the week before must have pooled and dripped from above, contaminating nearby water supplies. That being said, many of the 40,000 who were slated to attend the festival had to figure out how to spend the night(s)... Simple, we said, we have a band of our best friends and should just camp out around here. After some searching around, a friend found Skybrook. They promised that they'd be able to accommodate us and were sympathetic with our situation. Now, it would be putting it lightly to say that we have a sizable crew - we had at about 8 RVs and 10 cars... over 40 of us! We were all in this together so said, let's go!

Well, we had been waiting in a parking lot to head to the festival and decided on Skybrook. We got there after dark, around 8 or 9 and the office was still open. They put us in a nice open field where we could all camp together. The locals were very nice and would come by to chat and make sure our stay was enjoyable. People who come here more frequently were riding around on the roads on golf carts. We were wondering if we could rent some golf carts, have a runaway golf cart marathon maybe, but couldn't figure it out - oh well! On Friday night, we were graced by a set from DJ Steve who dropped sick beats in the Rec Hall! Many of the locals were there and we came to this camp town to help them party down!

All in all, Skybrook came through for us! The facilities were in good shape, the people were very nice and the campgrounds were quiet and clean. If I had to travel 3400 miles for a cancelled music festival, I would stay here again. Was it for this my life I sought? Maybe so, maybe not.
