This new facility is in the perfect location if you are a Baseball or Tennis lover; or flying in/out of LaGuardia Airport. It is situated at the mount of 3 major NY thorough fares, convenient to the #7 subway train and the Q66 bus line.
We are baseball lovers and can’t wait for April to see the Mets. I m waiting for the schedule to come out so I can book my rooms. Then when it’s time for the US Open, I’ll be there again.
An extended Christmas holiday was our reason for booking two junior suites at this property. Talk about spacious! No complaints on the room size and amenities. We loved the separation between the sink/shower and toilet/sink spaces. Wonderful idea. The microwave and mini-fridge were neatly tucked away but still part of the common living space.
The free breakfast menu was very comprehensive; something for everyone. The eggs were surprisingly tasty but the turkey sausage looked like grey cardboard and tasted as such.
The snacks available for purchase was Welles stocked and loved the option to purchase split bottles of wine and champagne.
Finally the staff was outstanding! Extremely accommodating, courteous and very knowledgeable of the local area and Manhattan. The only strange configuration was the underground check in/ parking area. It was challenging for us to be picked up by car services because it wasn’t obvious how to drive in and out.
We had a great stay here and can’t wait to return.

From the moment i called and spoke with Roxanne at front desk, you can hear her passion. She is so helpful, patient and caring.
Rosa in Kitchen is so sweet as well. Everyone we spoke to was nice and caring. The location takes the stress away from Airport travel, and visiting Citi field this location is a must. When we are needing to be near NY Airport, or wanting to be at Citi Field, we will only stay with SpringHill Suites NY LaGuardia

Canceled LaGuardia flight led us here. Called for a room at 11:15p and was accommodated. Hotel shuttle driver was friendly and talkative. Check in went smooth, front desk attendant was pleasant. Our 5th floor king room didn't have any smell (and we're pretty sensitive to that), the carpet looked fairly new and clean, as was the bedding; bathroom wallpaper was worn but we didn't care. Water was hot and shower pressure good. The hair dryer quit midstream...must have overheated because after a few minutes it worked again. Didn't have a chance for breakfast. We were there less than 6 hrs and it comfortably met our needs.

This hotel was pure junk. You would think Marriott/Springhill Suites and expect something decent. Well, allow me to explain. I tried to spend one night here, and it was a total disaster. I arrived, and they have a parking lot. Albeit the parking lot is $25.00 per night, the attendant told me to street park in it in Queens "Because everyone does." He doesn't know that it is practically impossible.

Secondly, the room hunt began. The first room smelled like something that can only be described as a decaying curry scent. They don't wash the bedding or the beds, so we found used cum tissues behind the pillow. The next room smelled better but was filled with the intoxicating smell of smoke from cigarettes. The third room smelled like curry again. I don't understand why all the rooms have an overwhelming curry's primary scent, but they do. I ended up leaving with a full refund.

Great hotel to stay at when your gets cancelled at La Guardia. The night manager was courteous & all about taking care of us after a long day & not having our luggage. The guy single-handedly & calmly handled a steady stream of people with cancelled flights needing rooms, and always maintained a smile & positive attitude the entire time. Rooms were clean & with plenty of modern conveniences like USB plugs & TVs to broadcast from your phone. Breakfast was good. Airport Shuttle runs every 30 minutes & starts at 0400.

If you’re hungry when you get there in the evening best to use Grub-Hub or Uber-Eats to deliver food, not much within safe walking distance.

The good: front desk person was quite nice and gave me another room after I told her the first room smelled like urine. Breakfast was decent, normal for Marriott.
The bad: As other reviewers said, the carpet is disgusting, and probably where the smell is coming from. Not sure if this was on all floors, but 3/3 rooms on the first floors smelled really bad.
Stayed there because it was a super convenient easy walk to get to the US Open.

We chose this hotel for our trip to see the US Open Tennis. It was rated as one of the top hotels to book for the US Open. The biggest issue is their poor customer service. They chose to end their shuttle service at 10:45 at night. This policy left us stranded at Flushing Meadows around midnight after the women’s semis along with about a dozen other guests of this hotel. We watched as guests from other hotels picked up by shuttles. We had been told by our driver on the way to Flushing Meadows that we could get on the Days Inn shuttle to be taken back to Springhill. However, that did not turn out to be the case. After walking home from the tournament in the middle of the night, I went to the front desk to complain. He just reminded me of a sign they’d put in the lobby about service terminating at 1045pm-which doesn’t explain why other hotels in the area were operating a shuttle. To be fair, the shuttle service was extended to 12:45 after I called the next morning to complain to management. However, this experience tells me this hotel is not very good at customer service and should no longer be considered the best choice of accommodation if you’re going to the US Open. To be fair, the rooms were well maintained and the included breakfast was very good.

The smell of the cleaners used in the bathroom was so overpowering that it was difficult to sleep. I opened the window for an hour in an unsuccessful attempt to air it out. Toilet is in a separate room from the shower; tiny sofa area. From my room on the second floor I heard trucks backing up, music from passing cars, and noises from the floors upstairs- basically, it's like living in an NYC apt building. The smell is the dealbreaker for me. Friendly staff.

When we arrived the guy at the front desk was new and gave us a room that was ada without asking if we were ok with getting a ada room & when we asked to change the room we were told they were out of rooms and that all the suites are Ada. The halls smell & the rooms are old with stained carpets. The sofa couch had a weird smell and the duvet on one of the beds had a huge stain that no one seem to care to change. We asked the staff several times and was told that they would change it and talk to the manager. We left for the day to come back to the same duvet. Plus we were locked out our room because the guy that checked us in only checked us in for one day instead of five days. We ended up staying one night only because it was already to late to move hotels especially with our three kids. I am very disappointed with Marriott because they usually have really nice hotels, but this one missed the mark by a lot. Would NOT recommend.

We were initially given a room with stains on the carpet and walls, a slow draining bathroom sink, a sprinkler head that was coming out the wall, a toilet paper holder that was broken, non-functioning lights on the desk and a tv remote whose batteries appeared dead. We asked for a new room and was immediately given one nearby with the apologies of the attendant.

The new room had a shelf with old food scraps, evidencing a lack of cleaning. We were too tired to complain again.

6 hours pre-arrival we checked in via the Marriott Bonvoy qpp and registered for a digital key. Upon arrival it was still not approved so we waited in line for regular check in and a key.

Breakfast buffet was great. Well cooked and warm food nicely presented.

The basic hotel rate is $22 per day per car plus tip when you have your car brought up. They are usually pretty fast about retrieving 4-5 mins.

You would need to check with the hotel, as I drove my own vehicle and was there during non peak season.
