We booked this hotel mainly for the price and we were initially a little afraid due to the area and the distance from the centre. Instead we were pleasantly surprised. Cleanliness of the room very good, furniture and bathroom fixtures are new. Changing towels, making the bed and quickly cleaning the room every day (we stayed for a week). Equipped with the right accessories: hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, minibar, coat hanger, adjustable air conditioning/heating and free bottle of water on the first day. Breakfast not excessively varied, but good and plentiful (as soon as something was running out they replaced it), especially suitable for those who like salty foods. Staff at the reception were unsmiling and apparently a little lazy, but still efficient. There is also a terrace on the fourth floor. Very close to the 167 metro stop and in 15/20 minutes you are in Manhattan. Super recommended!

Decent hotel for the price. Easy access to the subway line 4 which takes you straight down to the centre of the city. Rooms clean and spacious although we couldn't get the safe to work. Forget the inclusive breakfast if you're vegan as it's all bacon and eggs. We grabbed a fabulous smoothie from the bar near the station and once you're on the air conditioned subway heading downtown to all the excitement all is right with the world.

We stayed at The Highbridge while we saw three games at nearby Yankee Stadium. This was a 15 walk away. The subway station was a 10 minute walk and the 4 train took us into Manhatten in 20 minutes. The hotel was very clean and modern and the staff were excellent. The free breakfast was a good start to the day. The terrace on the roof was a nice place to bring lunch back to and watch the city go by from. We never felt unsafe in the area even walking back from a game after 10 at night. There was even a security guard on the hotel door. The Joker Steps are just behind the hotel and I walked 20 minutes to visit 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, the birthplace of Hip hop. Would definitely stay there again when going to Yankee Stadium.

If you want to escape the horrendous hotel prices in Manhattan, the 3-star Highbridge Hotel may be a viable alternative. The room is ok, clean, has a safe, air condition, fridge. The bathroom is adequate. Parking in the yard. Breakfast was overflowing and typical American. By the way, putting the chairs up after breakfast has a disturbing effect later in the day. The surroundings of the hotel are not particularly impressive. There's nothing to be afraid of, but the Bronx is filthy and continues to be the poorhouse of NYC, as you can see on the way to the nearest metro station. Overall an acceptable stay on comparatively favorable terms.

I stayed a week at this property with my son, taking advantage of a very affordable rate since they had recently opened. The room and bathroom very spacious, air conditioning adjustable and quiet. The metro stop very convenient, 2 minutes walk. Breakfast not very varied but still to start the day was enough. The area is safe despite being the beginning of the Bronx. We shot both day and night without any fear.

Clean hotel convenient to metro. Great breakfast free for all guests even if it was not specified on the booking site. Very nice guys at reception. Of course there is Ikea furniture but if they are good for my house they are also good for hotels. Large rooms and daily cleaning. Also recommended for the much lower price in Manhattan. It takes 20 minutes by subway to get to Manhattan but they pass in a flash. Near Yankee Stadium if you want to go watch a game.

Nice hotel, clean accommodations, nice breakfast included. Breakfast was simple and self serving. We had double queen beds room no issues. Neighborhood is a little rough. Housekeeping was good and friendly. Next time we would stay closer into the city. Service was good.

After reading all the not-so-good reviews, ( but as all other hotels were in the range of 300-500 USD per day,) we chose this hotel in Bronx, near Yankee stadium at 220 USD incl breakfast, toilet, AC etc. breakfast was good. Area was safe even at 8.30 in evening. Subway trains are very near...200 meters. Connectivity to most parts of NYC is very good. Unlike most hotels now in US and Europe, cleaning was every day. Toilet, AC were good and overall we had a good 5 days stay. Safety was not concern as we were going to Manhattan every day and coming back by 8-8.30 safely.

THIS HOTEL IS VERY NICE. ALL LOOKS BUT NO PROFESSIONALISM, THE RECEPTIONIST WAS VERY RUDE AND DID NOT WANT TO ASSIST ME AND MY FAMILY. WHEN I ASKED FOR A MANAGER TWICE SHE STATED THE MANAGER WAS UNAVAILABLE AND BUSY. I WILL NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN. NOT SO FRIENDLY AT ALL AND THE RECEPTIONIST OVER-TALKS YOU. THIS HOTEL HAS DISCRIMINATION AGAINST LATINO FAMILIES AND THEY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.
