Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We checked into the hotel and the first thing that was wrong was we got the wrong room. I did select a double bed for me and my friend who was travelling for business. However we were assigned a King room. We had to go back to the lobby to request a queen room with two beds for which the GSR seemed to be argumentative. I was really tired and so I was not about to argue back with him. We did end up getting the room with two beds but I must note, the floors were dirty and sticky, the elevator was dirty. The environment smelled of weed. We got our room and the first thing we noticed there was a big tear in the bed sheets, no wash cloth in the bathroom, no foot mat in the bathroom, the wall paper that was on the wall left much to be desired. The freezer of the mini frigde was over frozen with frost. based on these undesired occurences I decided to check the space and what I found was unbecoming. unused condoms were found, behind the bed heads were a baby's bottle, a pill, roach, and traps to catch bugs. The room door appeared to have been beaten up. I must note that the beds were comfy although we did not lift up the flat sheet. No comforters are in the room. This was a distasteful experience. There might be circumstances causing the lack thereof but mgmt needs to get it together! I would not stay here again and thats a fact ! I forget to mention horiible WIFI services good think I have reliable hotspot so I could have completed a report and presentation that was needed for my intended business.

I had Room 115 where the check-in desk clerk can observe through a hallway door when I enter and exit my room. I and the clerk exchanged glances when I came out of my room to get something from my car. When I retuned from my car, the clerk was engaged with a guest so he did not see me return. Five minutes after entering my room, the clerk used a special key to also enter my room, presumably thinking that I was still out. when I came out of the bathroom and aked him why he was entered my room without my permission he said he was very sorry and was just inspecting the room. The clerk, an Indian Guy who said his name was "Z", had obviously tried to burglarize my room

Warning DO NOT stay there! The rooms are dirty, the staff are bad and unprofessional! Suffia or Sophia is extremely rude, they double charged me and she blamed me!! And anytime she saw me through my stay she gave me bad looks! The housekeepers pretended they don’t speak English so you don’t ask them for towels and blankets! The front desk are the worst people I have ever encountered! Showers had hair ! I will never stay here again !!

This hotel was one of the worst I have encountered. I had to switch rooms twice and only stayed in the third as I felt it was the lesser of any other ‘evils”. My first room, when I entered I noticed along the floor of three walls were rodent glue traps. That notwithstanding, there was a live mouse in the corner of the room. Two lamps had dead bulbs. Room two, broken TV, no bathroom tissue, only one pillow on a king bed, and a door that would not close properly. Third room was okay except the door on the wardrobe cabinet was missing.

None of the rooms had adequate towels. My last room had 1 bath towel, 1 face towel, a floormat and no washcloths. When I called the desk, it took 15 min. for an old gentleman who barely spoke English to get to my room and tell me they had no clean towels left.

It was winter and three days post snowfall when I got to the hotel. The parking area had not been plowed, and was still not the end of the next day. Only the cars driving in and out made paths in the snow. Walking to the entrance was dangerous and was a certain lawsuit magnet.

Only plus sides? Comfortable bed and just passably clean room.

This is a disgusting, dirty and seedy hotel in the worst part of the BRONX. Two different hotel clerks couldn't locate my prepaid reservation. i only stayed there an hour as the place was noisy with stained carpets, dirty floors, poorly maintained, and insects crawling around in the bathroom. YET THE HOTEL REFUSED to refund my money because it was reserved and paid for by another vendor. I left the hotel at 10:30 pm to wait at PENN STATION for 4 hours - rather than stay there one minute longer. NEVER EVER EVER GO THERE! You will regret it!

My family and I left the hotel early one morning and when we came back our key was not working and it seemed like someone had been in our room. The bed was in disarray and there were blood stains. The bathroom was filthy. Someone had a bowel movement and didn't flush. While waiting in the lobby for housekeeping to clean the room, several men came in to rent rooms on an hourly basis. We suspect that they must have rented the room to other people while we were out. The most disgusting experience ever. DO NOT stay at this hotel EVER. Read ALL these reviews. The place should be shut down. Their policy borders on criminal behavior--renting a room that is already rented by someone else. It is a SCAM.

This is a horrible hotel and very dangerous for someone traveling alone or women in general. This hotel rents rooms by the hour!!! That should give you an idea of what the hotel is like plus the rooms. Additionally, the main desk in the lobby has bullet proof glass so the attendant behind you is totally protected. (there are bullet hotels shot within the glass and around the lobby)

In the lobby was a man with a huge wad of cash in a plastic bag. He was yelling at the gentleman behind the glass to let "them" know their hour was up!!!

Not sure how this hotel has any good ratings at all. I set this up because my wife's flight was cancelled at LaGuardia. It was close and not expensive but not a safe option.

One positive note. The gentleman working behind the glass would not allow my wife to check in and called for a car service to send her away to a better option!!!

I wasn't expecting the Ritz or Hilton hotel. I don't need much just a clean, safe place to stay. I check in no problem, leave for the evening and come back around 1am to find a rodent was in our because closed food had bite marks and pieces of paper were all over the microwave. I call the front desk and they provide a new room immediately. I get to the new room and there is a rotting banana out in the open on the microwave. Next morning I realized keys and two wallets were missing. Front desk let me into the first room which they claimed was cleaned before they let someone else stay there. Found my keys in the desk. Someone had taken one of the wallets, cash and a credit card. Front desk gave me the name, address and phone for the person who checked in after me and said the man gave a fake credit card. Looked up the man and found he is a criminal. I didn't get any apology, ive been trying to talk to a manager for three days now about receiving some type of conversation but no one has reached out. I left a complaint letter, a complaint email from the site, ive been laughed at because I keep calling the hotel looking for a manager since they come and go as they please and no one at the front desk can help me. I will never go back to this place. Friends of mine had their own room and their room had brown toilet water and stained sheets.

I wish I had read the reviews before booking with them but I learned it the hard way. Just like others have said, it's essentially a brothel where they rent out rooms by the hour and the hookers standing outside the hotel at night. Not the mention the wifi doesn't work, breakfast consists of milk and cereal, whole place smells like weed, can't get into the room cause the key card won't work unless you slide it a thousand time, NO TOWELS, NO ROOM SERVICE unless you are physically in the room when the room service comes around. Apparently people go to NYC to sit in their room all day waiting for room service. I still regret booking a room at this hotel.
